    I really appreciate your taking the time to share this set of videos. You have taught me quite a bit on how things go. Just getting an idea of what to do and seeing it be done has given me the confidence to try to fix the timing on a Suzuki I have been trying to learn how to get things done. Thank you so much for all of the time and information that you have shared with everyone. Looking forward to seeing your next project..

    Hello Paul, quick question. My motorcycle does the exact same thing when I try to start it up. I don't think it was explained, unless I just missed it, but what exactly did you do for it to start up normally?

      Hi Julio.. I sold that bike and I can't remember exactly what issues I had to get it started. If the cam timing is good, you have spark, then basically its all in the carburetor.. I'm not beyond giving it a shot of starting fluid to get the thing going initially. Sorry I can't be more specific.. Thanks!

    Hi,
    I really need your assistance in adjusting cam chain timing of my GS 425E.
    How much of the cam chain pin gaps required to adjust correct timing? I tried 18 pins gap but after that my engine is making extremely loud cam chain noise and even freezes the crankshaft at some point.
    I will be very grateful if you share the manual of GS 425E.

      I sold that bike a while ago and sent all the manuals off w it. Not sure if the 425's chain timing was different than the 450's. If you haven't tried thegsresources.com site, do so! It's a massive site for those old Suzuki GS bikes.. You could probably even find a service manual to download. The 425's are great bikes. Good luck!

    Paul Stransky, could you tell me what the part number is for the Cylinder Head cover you used? Also what is the valve clearance specs for your bike?

    • @ptstransky
      @ptstransky  6 років тому

      Clearance should be .03mm - .08mm.. not sure what part number you are referring to? The actual valve cover or the gasket? Best place to check would be a parts fiche online. You want to make sure you have the correct model number and year for the bike ie, an 'e' or 'l' model..

    Paul. Quick question. I have oil leaking from my points cover. Would you know what might possibly be the cause? Thanks.

      @ptstransky  6 років тому +1

      It's probably the crank seal.. Need to pull the right side cover and replace the seal that is there for the points on the inside of the cover

    Hi Paul, i really appreciate your video's and the time and effort you've put in. I have a problem with my gs450l (83). I removed the cover for the stator and a small part seemed to fall out. It looks like a plastic spacer. Do you know where it is supposed to go. I made a video to show what i mean. ua-cam.com/video/6SlNA_BxftA/v-deo.html
    Thanx again and i hope you do another Suzuki GS450 ;)

      Its hard to see what it is. I can't think of any plastic part on the internals which resembles that. I am assuming you've been through the parts diagrams. It could be that where ever it came from that it has been in there for awhile. Washed into the stator case with the oil and not flushed out over time. Personally I wouldn't worry about it. Critical internal parts seldom are plastic.

      Paul Stransky thx paul. Some people mentioned that it a part from the carb.

      @@DutchedShedBuilds I can't see how it would get into the oil supply from the carbs. There is no pathway. But stranger things have happened. Good luck!
