Get a CVR!!! while your towards knoxville stop and talk to the owner of CVR Chip Vinyard. I have a 12' cvr and the customer support that you get with chip is hands down the best out of any chassis builder.
I did got to TN this week. Work got the best of me and I was unable to connect with and LM builders there. More time off next week to get back out there.
Since I don’t run LM. However I stand by support by a chassis builder. One thing is what is available in your area and what is well supported.. IHMO the Rocket, Longhorn, and or Capitol is hard to beat. It seems those brands have the best support system. Actually I like the idea of the bare frame and doing the build out. This will let you guys put in sweat equity and gives you a up to date chassis with manufactures support
Just a suggestion. Why don't you look for a 2 to 3 year old Rocket or Longhorn. You should be able to pick up a bare chassis for half of what a new one cost. You might pick up a roller for what a new bare chassis would cost you. There is a ton of classified ads for race cars. Just my 2 cents. Good luck which ever way y'all decide to go.
I would say your best 2 options would be capital or warrior. Especially if you’re going to talk to Mike already I’ve heard nothing but great things about him
@@robertkenyon71k well good luck buddy I'm trying to get a sportsman late model going hopefully by next season got a 07 masterbilt gonna run a rebuilt 602 non seal to start an if that all works well for a season or two I'm gonna get a newer warrior chassis but if I don't like late models I'm probably gonna give classics a try
@@dirttrackdevil1149 I’ve got a 14 Rayburn I’m trying to put together and gonna run the classic for at least a couple races this year and still run it some next year plus the Late model. Give me a shout if you see me at the track and I’ll throw ya in a video
Capital seems to be a popular choice down south also. You need to go with a company that is willing to talk to you on the phone when you have a question. Mastersbuilt is not a popular choice anymore.
Having support for chassis ?'s is a big deal. Mastersbilt was helpful but our equipment was behind the times and setup for our style car had not been worked with in many years in their shop.
I bought my car for about $500 myself but hey you know if it works it works but I race asphalt Street stocks and I will be moving up to the late model figure 8 pretty soon
@@LateModelGarage I know all about that, I'm trying to get into the sportsman LM class before open practice. My dad raced late models for years and I've heard from many people who race or have raced late models on a budget team getting into one is the most expensive part and hard to do, especially when you have a wife kids and bills like myself. Shelling out a chunk of change all at once is hard to do and making time from work to go get the car if you have to travel to get it, but I know you have more experience than me, but I've definitely heard it's not that expensive to race a late model sportsman or crate as long as you don't tear the crap out of it all the time, I hope that's true cause my son is dying for us to get into one next year lol. And you guys should definitely check out warrior, I live fairly close to warrior race cars and 411 motor speedway, I hear terrific things about them from anyone I've talked to. Good luck guys I've followed your channel for a long time and your a huge inspiration to the Budgeted guys out there that wanna do this and you really show all the hard work it takes to get into this sport without a bunch of sponsors and an endless budget.
Thanks for the video!!
Our pleasure!
You want to know chassis weight dry the lighter the better . Wheel base , head room, leg room, firer bottle a must .
Never thought about frame weight. That is important. Head room is a must! Thanks for the input!
You want you frt lower control arm struts to the rear plants the chassis better
Agreed!
CVR in Tn.
Do they sell bare frames?
I have a CVR 12' roller in knoxville thats for sale

Gonna have to see Chip one way or another. Sounds like a solid operation!
If you are going to Tennessee go check out cvr

We are considering this as a viable option. The next several weeks we are investigating the level of support we can get in our local area.
Well down south we going looking for a new chasis as ours is bend also ! Good luck looking for a chasis !
There are options out there. Just figuring out what is right for us is the hard part.
Capital the best and support , watch hunt the front on utube
We do watch HTF and are aware of their success with Capitol. Don't think we have the check book to go that route.
