PTB version is better, still Tricksters theme is a classic imo. The recent ptb(Tools of Torment) really shown me how many people hate the Trickster since they compare him to the Skull Merchant. I find Trickster a well executed and interesting character with lore, who offers you a different option with range. You can either snipe with Huntress or be a machine gun like Trickster. Its a shame people belittle one valid option as "spam, you dont need skills" ofc you do. You need skill to aim or zone survivors, know when to chase and when to abandon chase. Every killer takes skill and its disrespectful to knock one killer/main down. Survivors side tho? Every killer is a chore for them to play against. I dunno what they want. Personally I see Pinhead as the least fun to play against. Even Huntress is bullshit. I'd rather face a dozen Tricksters and Legions over them
Yeah, see thats what makes it fun being Trickster Main for me. I love Trickster, I don't spam the daggers, heck one good whack with the bat they be down too LOL. I use the daggers when I really need to. Trickster is so much fun to play. As for Adrianna aka Skull Merchant, she is okay, but hers is basically skill with the ummm whats those things the tracking system from her drones. She isn't bad to use either, and I don't mind playing her, but I really enjoy Trickster.
@@CelestialStarrZVT Me too, as a fellow Trickster main. There is skill in his aiming and zoning skills. Skull Merchant and Knight are zoning killers and their power revolves around that. Skull Merchant is effective in her own way and such. But I enjoy Trickster the most. Lore and power and aesthetic wise
I once got complimented for my aim as Trickster, so he definitely isn't a "skillless" killer. There's also knowing what kind of small gaps you can hit through and when and where to use main event. Sure, in the open, you're pretty much dead against any halfway decent Trickster, but you could also say that about Huntress, Bubba, Slinger, Clown, corrupted Plague, etc. I think people just like to hate him because they can and because there's a mob mentality to do so.
@@femkev.5245 I was in a dbd discord server and me and my friends would talk about killers, who we like/enjoy/dont enjoy/etc. And this one person would always shit on Trickster to defend the Huntresses honour. I had or tried to have a civil talk with them and even show them impressive Trickster clips people did. But they dont budge. People like that and generally people who played Huntress and camped/tunnel me made me viscerally hate Huntress to the point I dont even enjoy playing her or learning her. As a Trickster main, I know what you mean by small gaps. Its satisfying getting survs thru those. Honestly I just think they had Trickster because he's an attractive korean man. They all want the killers to be like demogorgon or Dredge, monstrous. So something with a modicum of humanity or even beauty pisses them off
