I don't know if you even keep up with your channel anymore. I have a beautiful Elgin automatic self winding watch that I received from my son in-law a very long time ago and I was never able to wear it because the 'seconds' hand kept getting stuck on the big hand, so for about 15yrs it sat in a drawer...until today. This instructional video was a Huuuuge help to me and I was able to fix my watch (that included stem/crown removal) without any problems whatsoever and it's all due to this video of yours. So thank you so much!
I had to remove a crown gasket in my Addiesdive Submariner, was pretty cool seeing the Miyota 2115 in person. It’s smaller than I had imagined, crazy they can mass produce these quartz movements for so inexpensively. Ridiculously accurate, and reliable too, lasting decades with simple battery swaps. I’m an even bigger fan of quartz now. While I was in there I popped the crystal out, misaligned cyclops, I got it much much closer to perfect alignment. A great beater watch when I don’t feel like abusing the Casio Duro. 👌🏼
These types of videos... are worth a lot... even for those of us who are NOT dedicated to fixing wrist watches, but it is very important that someone who has experience makes our lives easier and takes away a little bit of our ignorance of how the things.... thank you.... thank you for sharing something that might seem of little importance but those of us who value the details.... we must be grateful that there are talented people... and they share it with us.
This is so good to know for a minor watch fixing at home. The one movement I was looking how to remove its stem was the one in minute 7:04. Thanks a lot for the video, it is so useful 😃😃.
Thank you very much for making this video🙏 at 9:20- is Where I found the help I was longing for I’m no watch expert and was for the first time trying to fix my very OLD yet very meaningful blue Nixon Watch and I was just about giving up (after about 1 1/2 hrs of trying to take it apart) until I came across the key to removing the turning dile or whatever is called.. lol 😂… so I’m absolutely grateful for your help!.. now I get to wear my watch again after many yrs hoping to get it fixed one day…. Thanks to you- Today is the day !! Thanks a whole lot! ❤️ your video has very helpful content even for those like me who are trying it for the first time!!…
The video helped me remove my watch stem! Upon further inspection, I saw a faintly marked “Press ->” on the movement showing where to press to release the stem.
Thankyou so much for this useful video. I have a miniature gold plated clock of sentimental value only and had bought a new movement for it, but was struggling to get the stem out. Right near the end of the video you showed the very same movement, and the mystery was solved. I think I would have abandoned it or broken it without your straightforward non gimmicky help. I nearly gave up with the hands though!
Fantastic! Just starting in this hobby and clips like yours really helps keep the frustration at bay. Needed to remove crown from vx43e with no screws or push buttons for stem that l could see. Thanks for the answer.
Thank you so much for making this video. I've been trying to figure out how to get the stem out of my old pulsar forever. I kept pulling the stem out a little bit first. Come to find out I'm supposed to leave it in all the way and push down on the little divot.😂
Fixing up an old Seiko Lord Quartz and could not for the life of me find the release button on the mechanism. It is sooooo tiny! Thanks for a great tutorial! (and the music too)
Thanks for this fantastic video, been wanting to mod a watch face and being able to take out the stem has allowed me to do that finally, thanks again👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much Sir. This has become my favourite video and I can able to Remove stem and movement to clean internal mineral and dial. Wonderful love love love
Thank you!! :D, i was able to fix my mom's watch thanks to this video (some water went inside and fogged the glass horribly) needed to remove that damn screw to clean it XD
Thank you I waited until near the end it was marked the seeker but might as well cheaper one but you got me on their thank you so much you are tha man! You have free concerts... For life I'm about to copyright my 100 songs.... I've got Paul Reed Smith and the Taylor Brothers as my advisors
It's crazy how small the mechanisms are now in these watches. Most of the watches are filled up with plastic support rings. Thought I had been ripped off when I opened the back of mine to find the same lol
Very useful video. Thank you. I am just getting into watch "tinkering" and have an old quartz watch that the stem won't engage to turn the hands. Probably a "junker" but good to practice on as the case needs cleaning as does the crystal. Doubt if it will ever work again but you never know. Although the movement of this watch wasn't shown in your video, it gives me a good idea of what to do now.
WOW! Great video!! I have a Ladies Timex WR30M Indiglo watch that I can not get the stem out of. There are no obvious places to press. Any suggestions? Thanks
Thank you! I'm working on a small women's Pulsar watch with a V233A movement and I'm not sure what to depress to remove the stem. I'm repairing and cleaning my niece's watch, can you help please?
Thanks! Watched a lot of videos before I found yours that had my watch type. What types of tweezers are those? I’ve been looking for something that fine forever!
A jewelry store screw up my watch and wanted to make me buy a whole new mechanism when 10 sec of your video helped me fix the issue. Thank you!

Very helpful, thank you! Attempting to replace the mineral myself, this was all I needed to get the movement out
