A friend traveling abroad gifted me with a lovely silk scarf for taking care of her yard. I'm very inept at scarves, so your video gave me some great ideas for me me to celebrate her generous gift from travel.Thank you/merci beaucoup!
Love them all but the little flower is my favourite x
Aww thanks so much, really hope you continue to watch my stuff too! x
They all look so elegant, but the twisted one is my favourite. Thank you for showing us how easy it is to achieve a chic look with scarves. Au revoir, Yvette.xx
You are so welcome Yvette x
Wowzers!!! Beautiful! Simple! When the student is ready the teacher will appear! Thank you Marie-Anne!
I love the twist! YES to scarves! They really are such a wonderful way to change your look and take such little space in your closet.
@@MarieAnneLecoeur I work in retail so I try and wear scarves at least once a week since we do sell scarves of all shapes and sizes. I am the only one of my group of about 10 female employees that wear scarves.
The flower was absolutely beautiful 😍
Now I will have to buy 26" x 26" scarves! That's OK. I believe one can never have too many scarves. Thank you for the links to the scarves.
I love No. 2. The twist gives it that little extra detail that lifts it out of the ordinary in an understated way.
I agree, I like the little twist in the front I think it looks very nice and chic, and it's so quick and easy that you can wear it on a normal daily basis
Totally agree 👍
All styles are beautiful… flower is number one1!
what..... the flower was so much easier than I thought it was going to be. I like the flower and the point in the front
Yes. The "little flower" is new. to me. 'Love it.
Wow, thanks, I'll try these knots.
Me too. Love it!
Number 3 looks like it's from a Western film!
One thing I like is infinity scarves especially in winter. They are warm and add a little bit extra to a sweater
Yes, and they even have some that just snap in back so you don't have a tail to contend with (etsy had quite a fee, some with cute little beads in front--they seem snag-proof so far). Would be nice for summer as it can get very humid or cold quickly.
The last one, the flower. All wonderful.
Love the flower! I’ve never seen this before!
The last one, the flower, was my favorite.
I have a scarve from my french friend who lives in Paris...i never could figure how to wear it, it’s silk and these styles will work, thank you so much! I am now a subscriber, look forward to learning more!
The flower blew my mind! 😍 But I would wear the first one the most. ♥️
Number 4 is so pretty. I have never seen anyone wear that style. I will be wearing it Monday morning for work. ☺
Love this thankyou, Im over 50 and have fallen in love with silk scarves, Im very influenced from the late 60s early 70s era this has been so helpful ❤
😘
Thank you Marie-Anne, I always wondered how do air hostesses tie their scarves, now I will also look put together *Clearing my throat *❤
✈️
Thank you Marie-Anne for a great video. No one does scarves like the French do! Merci beaucoup!
I absolutely adore scarves! I tend to wear them in the triangle shape as you showed. I find scarves to be a great way to add color to an outfit and to keep warm in the cooler months. I like the twist you did and really loved the way you tied it into a flower. I am going to try making one right now : )
@@MarieAnneLecoeur Once I got the right scarf, it worked! I was very pleased and will wear it like that as soon as our weather cools down enough. Thank you! 😊💖
The flower is amazing and it's no way I would know how to do it. Thank you very much for sharing.
Yes! I love to wear scarves. #4 is new for me and I can't wait to try it.
The rose is my favorite. I've never seen that before! But I like the clean lines of the second and first, and I'll remember the tip for the third, to wear with a button down shirt.
I have so many scarfs and have always worn them on my head or neck. Now that I'm much older, they hide your age which is fantastic ladies. Love your video. Merci
Yes! My favorite, the flower.
No. 1 and No. 2 look very elegant.
I like them all because I like your style
I love them all, especially the little flower! Scarves really add that certain touch of chic to an outfit.
Thank you from an avid scarf wearer (I have hundreds, some purchased in France). I'm always looking for interesting and chic ways to wear my scarves and I love these ideas. Merci et à bientôt!!
@@MarieAnneLecoeur Bonjour, Marie-Anne. Yes, I have numerous ways I wear my scarves, but it's difficult to describe them in words without demonstrating them. I also have scarves in a variety of sizes, shapes, fabrics and weights. What works well for one scarf, may not work for another one identical in all but the fabric. It's such a fun and creative way to work with color and texture, creating an interesting outfit out of basics. Vive les foulards. À bientôt et merci!
I live in the US, but my heart, and some of my DNA are French. After several visits, I've found that I relate to the culture and sensibility of France.
Yes, number 4 is my favorite. Number 2 is second. Thanks for the video!
Beautiful more women should dress like this
Merci beaucoup 🤗
Oh just reviewed after two years. Wonderful just like the first time viewed.
I like the second and the last one! Very elegant
I love the first two styles.
Thank you for including the scarves' dimensions. This is very helpful.
I have always wanted to learn how to tie a scarf so thank you so much for this video!
I like #3 because a lot of scarf shows and it’s perfect to wear with any top…v-neck for round neck.
I love the flower knot scarf style
Thank you ! Loved them all, but my favorite one was the twisted one in the front!
I love the last one. The others are all nice
Love this! I noticed your scarves in other videos and so glad you did a tutorial. I love larger scarves but hadn't attempted the neck scarf yet. Merci beaucoup!
I loved the knot in front, very elegant! 💖
Ohh I liked the triangle, I think it's no 3 and no1
The library has a book, 50 ways to tie a scarf. I really liked it. Anything can be requested. They can even order from out of state.
Wow, I really like how you made that flower!🌺
I love al the scarves 🧣 tied but my favourite is the flower one at the end
My fave: all of them, but esp #4!
Wow that flower type of knot is so cute, I had never seen that, ingenius! 😍
Great advice. Such scarf wearing is real French Chic.
Marie-Anne! I have always liked scarfs, but I didn’t know how to use them. My favorite is the flower, also, good thing that you gave the measurements, now, I know which size scarf I should buy. Thank You!
Marie-Anne Lecoeur Hello Marie-Anne! My birthday is on July 4th and first on my list is a Hermès scarf. Please, put video for larger silk and wool scarf. I will appreciate it and trying with my Bolivian friends different ways to use scarfes. Thank you again for this video! Carinos!🌷🌺🌷🌺🌷🌺
My favorites are the 2nd and the flower
Wonderful! Would you consider doing a video on larger scarves both silk and wool? This would be so helpful. Thank you 💐
Yes please with regard to the larger scarves.
@@MarieAnneLecoeur Merci beaucoup. Great news!
They're all lovely!
the twist is my favorite
Yes! I like learning ways to tie scarves!
@@MarieAnneLecoeurI like style 1! The flower is very clever though! I have worn style 2 as a head band.
Yes! Great video. Thank you. I love the little flower knot especially.
Oh merci, Marie-Anne. I love wearing scarves and you've give us wonderful ways to wear them.
Thank you for this lovely video. I love my scarves, and thanks to you, I now have more ways to wear them!
I love no.2 and no.4. Very chic!
2 and 4 are adorable!
Love the flower style
Fabulous! Today is Thanksgiving and as an American in Nice, I am joining an American group for lunch. I am wearing a scarf with your described in number 2. Merci!
What a helpful video, Marie-Anne! Thank you.
VERY INFOMATIVE ,ESPECIALLY THE FLOWER
I've just been given some silk scarves from my Nan - well, most of them are 'silk' - so I'm going to be trying some of these in the next few weeks!
Right now, I'm wearing a gorgeous burgundy and navy one that's 100% silk - my first actual silk scarf!
@@MarieAnneLecoeur I do have a couple of questions. How do you fold your silk scarves when you just want them as a single long strip of a scarf (such as for the first two looks in this video)? And how do you care for them and store them to reduce creasing - mine have been folded and stored that way for a while and the creasing is pretty bad, so I've hung the silk one up to try to encourage the creases to drop out, without much luck yet.
I don't know if it's worth making a video to answer these questions, but even if not, I'll take all the help I can get because I want these to last and look good!
What about a cool iron or steamer? Not sure I'd use that on Hermès, but it probably won't hurt the cheap ones!
Hilariously, if you buy a really nice piece and a cheap, Chinese Aldi knockoff, the one that cost 550.00 will snag if you look at it, while the 5.00 Aldi scarf is bulletproof. Lol!
It wasn't that easy to tell the difference, but the expensive one is REALLY "foofy." (Puffy, voluminous)
When I made an accomplishment, I bought an Armani scarf. A huge, pink poofy thing. Actually, I bought the entire suit. Yes, I know. Not cheap. But I'm a busty American with a little belly and it's rare to have one fit so well off the hanger.
Note about really expensive places, if you let them alter it, you can't return it. Just saying. I never wanted to return it, but WoW. They can be expensive. It really only needed a hem. Skirt was a bit long for me. The rest was perfect.
It was not cheap letting them alter it, but it was so good I couldn't even tell where they did it. So, that was worth it. Might have been 2-3x average cleaners. Maybe 30 bucks over the usual 12 or so.
At any rate, just WEAR it, don't SAVE it. When you're dead, as happens to all of us, someone else will get your glorious scarf collection (or the $$, for that matter). Don't let someone else enjoy your hard work! Lol.
I thought I had the pleasure of seeing all your videos (since I’m a faithful subscriber), but ran across this one today. I’ve been dressing in a rockabilly style for years and the last scarf style is my favorite!! Been looking for a way to cover my neck as I get older and turtlenecks aren’t for me. Thank you, Marie-Anne!!!
Bonjour Marie-Anne! I like the flower! It was like a magic trick!! I had to watch it twice!! Thanks for these lovely ideas!! Merci!!
Oh, these were elegant. I loved no.4 - it was so simple. Thanks so much X x
YES! Late to the party since I was at a conference (wearing scarves, of course) -- but wow I wish I had known the flower and twist to use them! Thank you for sharing the size of the scarf. That helps a lot.
Marie-Anne, yes it went wonderfully. And I practiced the flower for a meeting last week. Beautiful! :-)
Marie-Anne, also thank you for your compliment on my message being inspiring. I love that you say that.
Bonjour Marie-Anne, These are all very lovely! My favorite is the flower. ❤️
@@MarieAnneLecoeur I placed an order and plan to :)
Great video, Marie-Anne. I love them all.
Fabulous video. I love scarves, they make any outfit elegant. It’s too hard to pick a favorite…I love them all and will be trying them next week! Thanks!
I love the twist and the flower. I've never seen either technique. Love this video Marie-Anne!
Yes Marie-Anne, I will try out both. I have the black and white polka dot scarf from Lilysilk that you featured in your video, so I will have the same look!
A related comment, I find it very difficult to find tops - t-shirts or light sweaters - with a scoop neckline. They are often crew or v-neck. A scoop neck is ideal for wearing
a neck scarf or short necklace.
I'm a huge fan of twillys & scarves so I greatly appreciated this video! Your voice is so calming, it was even more enjoyable to watch. Thank you! 🌹
@@MarieAnneLecoeur yes, I plan on it! Really liked #1 & #2! I think a scarf on the neck is just so elegant & chic. I've only just discovered your channel this evening and am going down your list, watching one video after another! Been looking for info just like this, so I'm thoroughly enjoying them! ❤
🍎 I love number one, number two, number three and number four!
I like all your clever and delicate advices.
And I glad to see you again and again.
Thank you very much! And my best wishes!
I like the second one!
"Now look-you've got a little flower" 😄❤️ Three very chic and elegant ways to wear a square scarf! Thank you for this. I always pass on square scarves. I'll have to try one of these!
I love the tips for tying the scarfes. Especially the flower. Great video Marie
@@MarieAnneLecoeur yes i will. 🤗. I was in cote d' azur two weeks ago and i love the french women style.
I love the flower scarf as it's the most challenging.
I need to watch that again!
The flower!!
I love this, all 4 are very nice. I can't choose one. Thank you.
Yes! I love the one for wearing with collared shirts. I will try this this week! Merci beaucoup!
Yesss. Thank you. I love scarves and I'm happy to learn different ways to style them.
Yes, I will definitely try them. The first one was my favorite ❤, it is super classy and I think it will look good on almost every outfit.
Thank you, the video was easy to follow and I appreciated the noting of scarf sizes.🌷
Merci beaucoup for this one! I’ve always had trouble with scarves. I also don’t look very good in them, as they are overwhelming. These are small and you didn’t go too fast.
She is so patience and I like her step by step instructions that is so easy to followed.
Thank you for this lovely video. I love wearing scarves. Every time I go to Paris, I bring home a new scarf and pair of leather gloves from JB Guanti. The store has hundreds of colors. The flower was my favorite because it is new to me.
This is THE best tutorial I have found!
I am glad you enjoyed it Holly 😘
@@MarieAnneLecoeur thank you. I wanted to say how much I enjoyed your encouragement, that it wasn't too difficult.
Dear Mary Ann, thank you so much for this video, I was waiting for this one for so long. I personally love the four ways. Regards from Philadelphia / USA.
Wow! That was great! I have never seen those 4 methods - thank you 🌸
Bonjour Marie-Anne. Thank you for this wonderful video. Such elegant ways to wear a scarf. I shall be trying out all your ideas. As always it is a pleasure to listen to your advice. 🥰
Am a huge scarf fan, building a new collection of vintage silk ones. Think they really add the finishing touch and that French chic-ness to any outfit. Loved the flower, not seen that previously! Merci, Madame! 🤗😍
@@MarieAnneLecoeur You are the epitome of French chic, Marie-Anne so as a new subscriber, I look forward to learning much from you! 🤗 xx
Do you have any tricks about removing marks they often come with?
I know rubbing alcohol will do it, but you'd hate to ruin a gorgeous scarf if you try it. Funny, cheap material it makes 0 difference 99.99% of the time.
Only once did I have a "silk" (poly) thing not take to water well, and the dry cleaners got the water marks out easily.
Just off to try the last one. Thank you!
Thank you for showing how to wear scarves. I will certainly try them. I like 1 and 2, but they are all good. 👍🏽
Bonjour Marie-Anne!!! You are the best and the most chic of all! Merci Beaucoup for all your knowledge and videos. At work, they find my outfits so cute all the time 🥰
Love the flower!
a couple of new ways for me!! thank you ... I am a huge scarf fan
I absolutely love the style...elevating an.outfit with a scarf! Love it!
love them all. getting my scarf.
