Are you American? I'm Australian and my family has used pears for decades, but she says "Ok dollar tree" like its their brand... so I'm wondering if it isn't common in the US because it's an English soap?
I don’t think you’ve ever done this. It doesn’t hurt your skin to put such a minuscule amount of soap mostly on the brow hairs. Most people leave far more soap on their hands after washing than you will ever put on your brows. And I am very sensitive to soaps.
That's interesting watercolour artists, myself included use Pears soap to get the point back into our paint brushes, it sets them back like new and since the soap is only one ingredient with no moisturizers it doesn't effect the paint or paper. It makes sense it would work for brows too. I was just thinking about geting some clear brow gel and now I don't have to lol.
I've been doing soap brows for probably 8 to 10 years and I've never had any problems with sweat, other comments 😅 also I use the men's beard dye from the dollar store to dye my eyebrows then I don't even have to fill them in everyday, I just lay them with the soap!
Have you noticed any hair falling out? My sis told me she was worried about that and now it’s a fear stuck in my head! 😂 I also use soap daily for my brows , the best

I was a hairdresser as well as my Mum and Grandfather. My Grandfather was basically Barber and trained in 1926. He went to night school and learnt perming with heat rods and while machines above, Marcel ironing etc He told me to achieve finger waves they used soap
Btw, you don’t need Pears or a transparent soap. Any soap works fine no matter the color. It does not transfer color to your brows. I use the super cheap Jergen’s that I use anyway.( I use soap to get the dirt off - that’s it. )
If you use a better quality soap it won't run easily, and a setting spray ensures it will be locked in until you wash it off. It's a theatrical technique and I can guarantee you that actors under stage lights or in outdoor theatres deal with far more heat and sweat and have for decades.
Just an FYI for any self tanners, pears soap is the best for using pre tan with an exfoliating mit as it removes oil/sebum from the skin so well!! Be sure to moisturize your knees/elbows pre tan too because it removes it a little too well and makes your skin primed to soak in the tanner.
I actually prefer the other side. 🤔🤔 Since it looks darker on screen, gives the eyeshadow color more drama. BUT, for a $1.25 the other side looks good, gets the job done & keeping it real, a lot of people don’t even want to spend $7 for the Maybelline clear Mascara which I’ve used countless times on my brows or $9 for the mini Anastasia clear brow gel.
Soap brows have changed my life! I love them so much they look so natural and they hold all day. I’ve never had them run. Ya’ll must be using half the bar then taking a lil rain walk cause wtf
Really?? I’ve been meaning to try, but had a bad experience with contour and now I’m skeptical about any makeup from dollar stores. Which one is it? What is the brand name?
Pears Soap.....we always used that in our house in the 60s/70s. That, and Imperial Leather. Yes the pears soap makes it look natural yet enhanced
I totally agree 💯❤🎉

😂 my grandma lied to me growing up she said the pears soap was 50 bucks
Yes!! It looks better.

If you get sweaty that soap will really burn when it runs into your eyes.
YES! Plus soap is not meant to be left on the skin
That has never happened to me and I do it before I go to the gym or running. Normally you use so little of the soap n your brows it impacts nothing.

Definitely the pears side, plus I adore the smell of pears soap. It reminds me of my childhood 💕
Also, Pears soap is excellent for your skin, because of the basic ingredients.
Pears soap is mostly glycerin I think. Im 68. Before all the fancy teen soaps for acne etc. we used this for our skin.
Just found the ingredients and it has a lot of not so nice ingredients in it. And glycerin is not at the top of the list.

Like, Is it difficult ?
Back in the day, my punk rock friends would have me use soap to do their liberty spikes. Also knox gelatin. Shit would stay in for days.

So, don't sweat - you don't want that soap running in your eyes...
This is exactly what I was thinking. Not saying you need to buy an expensive brow wax but soap will run.
My thoughts exactly. Also, wouldn’t want to get caught in the rain.
