for those who use cup measurements
macarons:
1 & 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp almond meal/ground almonds (measured correctly)
1 cup + 2 tbsp powdered/icing/confectioners' sugar (measured correctly)
4 egg whites (divided)
2 tbsp water
1/2 cup granulated suger
for the buttercream follow the recipe from the video :)

Put in the bag the batter and then

300 degrees for about 15 mins

Anna, I love your recipes but I think you will need to do a masterclass lesson on macarons with trouble shooting. I love your tips about using a cup to hold the piping bag because it is very useful - but can you teach us more about how to look for the right meringue peak?
Your old macaron recipe called for soft peaks, but it would be good if you can tell us what speed you whip your egg whites in. I have tried whipping my egg whites to a stiff peak, but I did it at such high speed I could never get the batter to loosen up.

Please please PLEASE don't forget to tap the tray against your counter to get rid of bubbles!! And mix it longer, you need stiffer peaks in that egg white/sugar batter in the mixer. Way too runny and no good.

I tried this recipe. It failed. I have made plenty of macarons prior to this :(
This is because she definitely didn't whip the egg whites enough. You need to beat the batter in the mixer for at least 5 minutes
I usually make your recipes and they are all a success ...but this one isn't ...the batter was too fluid when I pipped it into the tray it became a big pool
You over mixed it then. You need to just mix it until you're confident the macaron will smooth over, over time.

If your batter was too fluid, it may also be due to the fact that your egg whites weren't stiff enough. I saw Anna's old recipe for macarons and she even recommended soft peaks :( Isn't that the wrong way to do it? Although you don't need to mix it as much for the macronage, it causes the batter to be a too runny.
