"I would feel bad if it hurt you, but it didn't". I think when Stolas said it the best way possible. I've seen debate videos and subreddit discussions talking about who was in the wrong. When you think about it their marriage was really for political reasons. The reasoning for staying together for so long was to keep their image positive to the public. When comparing the two, it was wrong for Stolas to cheat, but when you compare it to how Stella treats Stolas it's very minor. Stella is abusive in not just a verbal way but also it turns out in a physical way just by judging that one scene where Stella was about to backhand Stolas before he stopped her. Stolas did try to work things out for the sake of his daughter. Stolas again is still in the wrong for cheating, which he has admitted too many times. However, it is Stella who really is the toxic one in this relationship.
They’re both in the wrong, theirs a good reason why Stolas did it but he shouldn’t have taken things this far. He gave Stella ammo and angered her which made his daughters life miserable, he ignored his daughter’s feelings until she hit him over the head with them and despite talking about it never changed course, he never divorced like he said he would which only made things worse in his home, he strung Blitzo along and only ever manipulated and blackmailed him, never taking the relationship seriously. Their was so many healthier ways he could have dealt with this problem and he chose the absolute worst option
@@Broomer52 I mean, you could argue the same point for Blitz, this episode literally proved he only got with Stolas to use him for the book/his royalty status and continually does so across multiple episodes. If anyone is being strung along, its Stolas. Of course after several episodes, its obvious they both have strong feelings for each other but are incredibly bad at showing it/in denial. As for Stolas/Stella, I mean come on. Sure cheating is an awful thing to do all around, but Stella is an absolute abomination that Stolas never wanted to marry from the beginning. Not to mention shes literally hired a hitman on Stolas, like wtf? I personally feel like Stolas is the one that just can't seen to win. But now that he's going to be properly divorced, him and Blitz might be able to do something meaningful.
@@brandoxic8354 I know I’m just focusing on Stolas because he’s the more apparent train wreck and was the focus of this episode. Blitzo isn’t innocent in this and I know that.
@@Broomer52 an abuser doesn’t 'need' ammo to abuse their victim. Just their compliance. Stella is an abuser; that was made clear. I haven't personally seen anyone justify Stolas's actions. More the reasons behind them. Is it really any surprise this all happened, given the environment he grew up in?

@@razgrizraven Considering the fact that Fizzarolli taunted him with how crappy his love life is in episode 7 my headcanon is that they started dating and when they broke up it ended badly. That’s just my theory though.
Stolas has been my fav since the beginning, he deserves so much better. The man just wants to be happy, to love and BE loved. Is that too much to ask for?

That doberman guard really wanted to beat up Blitzo. You can see his tail wagging when they bring Blitzo in, and you can see him visibly let down when Stolas says he'll take care of it himself.

He was in a loveless and toxic marriage and didn't cheat for 17 years (which means after Octavia he had 0 sex life), and the one time he cheated it was mostly by Blitz's seduction and some alcohol.
Yo s'up. What sucks was that it was clear that there was no love between stolas and whatever her name was, the only love he had family wise for his daughter. He was with the wife for YEARS and was clearly not satisfied and was unhappy but yet blitzø was able to make him feel more alive in 5 minutes then years he spent with the wife. Sadly with the relationship, it was more of a f**k buddy relationship but yet stolas had truly loved him but just haven't talked it out. Also I'm glad he finally stood up for himself.
According to an earlier episode, it was Stolas who proposed the transactionary nature of their relationship -- he'll lend I.M.P. the book for a month, as long as Blitzø brings it back when Stolas needs it... and 'pays' for it with "a night of passionate fornication." While Stolas probably intended this as a way to show he wanted to be with Blitzø, and that totally fits with the way the rest of the Goetia are portrayed, the previous episode to this one made it clear that Blitzø doesn't see it kindly. He's not a f**k buddy in this dynamic, he's an on-call prostitute. There have been several moments where it seems like Blitzø cared for Stolas, but the transaction was always going to be in the way.
People have translated that book Stolas flips through near the end, and the Asmodean Crystals are used by succubi to enter the living world. I get the impression that Stolas will offer these to Blitzø and take back his grimoire permanently -- thus allowing I.M.P. to continue their business while cutting the tie that binds Blitzø to him. That's a bold choice if he goes through with it, but the lament in his song implies he's afraid that'll be the end of it all.

My guess is that it was some kind of accident with Blitzo involved in some way. The worm horse was green, which is a color Fizzarolli is heavily associated with in his appearances, so it could've been subtle foreshadowing.

Sure Stolas had a shit life up till then however, I was so happy to se him catch his wife’s hand when she went to slap him, that was just pure self defense in an abusive relationship where the man was the victim. He’s finally doing what’s right and getting rid of the negative drama. He might suffer but he should be happier with the situation changed.

To be fair to the relationship between Blitzo and Stolas, it is fairly toxic, but if is one of the healthiest relationships either of them has had. And if they can work through their problems, they might actually make a really great couple.

Of course, infidelity is something you should never do. But at the same time, can you blame Stolas?
He never loved Stella to begin with. He never wanted to get married to begin with, but he was forced into it for the sake of royal descendancy. And for so long, he's been trying to make it work for Octavia's sake. And Stella's been terrible ever since. But at least Blitz is an intimate partner who actually makes Stolas happy.
And as for Blitz... to be fair, he did end up running his own circus. And Stolas is the clown. Stolas's life has been rigged to begin with to the point he has ended up being the clown in every aspect of his life, save for Octavia. I still want to see Blitz, Stolas, Octavia, and Loona end up happy together, though.
Ya know... It's kinda funny. The fact Stolas is FINALLY stepping up to Stella, despite all that's been dealt with, shows he's ready to follow his own path, ...with Octavia being his only light in his life. I hope whatever happens in the long run, Stolas will evolve into something greater ...in his own pervy/protective kinda way.
It's a bummer that so many people theorize and praise Stola's downfall/death instead of lighting a brighter path, yeah it's possible for him to die due to Stella continuously wanting striker to kill him, and if striker fails to kill him then she won't stop hiring assassins until the job is done. I don't like how those theories make so much sense, but they are realistic and to top it all off, it IS hell after all.

Ima be real, the only thing I do not like about this episode is that it kinda retcons episode 2, where the relationship was more of Stella being upset he cheated on her with an imp, not Stella doing it for the gold and royalty. I guess somewhere around the Striker episode they wanted to make the storyline of Blitzø x Stolas happen while making Stella more of "the villain" where she is very upset with Stolas to defend her image as a member of the Goetia.
