What worked on two remotes of mine was pulling batteries out and taking a knife and wedge point under the springs that make contact with each end of batteries and and stretch out the spring did to just the longer ones that touch negative side of battery. Then put batteries back in and works immediately after. But seems the remote eventually stops working on its own and have to repeat that process and works right away. Crazy that tv seemed like it was dead and was just the remote. Tried unplugging tv and back in and doesn’t powering on so was ready to junk the tv over this until bought new remote and tv started working but new remote failed just like original that came with tv but stretching battery spring on new remote worked the same with new remote as did on the original.
