I am so excited to have just gotten a DJ2Go2 Touch today. I used the predecessor for two destination weddings as well as several corporate events in 2019 and it was great.
I got mine in the mail last week and I'm loving it so far!!! It truly is perfect for the beginner DJ because it doesn't have all the extra bells and whistles that might feel intimidating at first glance. Back to basics with this one. Beat matching, mixing and smooth transitions are all possible. It's size is perfect and can be taken basically anywhere.
I can see this as a travel device to prepare DJ sets. Where compact non-standalone control is actually handy (looking at you, Prime Go) as you can use your laptop/iPad for other stuff as well.
I think its dope as a back up or maybe to throw down a small set when traveling its well worth the 80 bucks just to be able to have control over serato versus mouse and keyboard.
Yep! Another 2cm in height along the top and they could run a 3 band EQ using knobs on either side without losing anything and it would still be a perfect fit for the Macbook...sold!
I feel like I'd just disable the touch anyways. Could be nice for setting cue points I guess. The regular 2go2 is fine without them. They wanted to compete with the hercules so the upgrade does make sense. I think the reason they left out the bass eq was because you're probably not playing on very hifi speakers with this controller.. but it would be nice
You could wait for the Numark DJ ToGo3 which will probably have a tone knob and pad fx... OR buy the Hercules Starlight now which already has those features and you can scratch. Can’t understand how they got it right the first time and Numark still missing key features.
yes sir is nice controller for the price but i don t no sure if i can play flow 8 deck with this one controller is good price for flow 8 deck thank you for support
Serato! Please make sexier version PRO (can be a pro price too with all the PRO goods), metal construction (ALU & it still be light), better connectivity (USB-C and so), better overall design - all comments DJcity makes are legit, like hear the sound! It's going to be dope, sell like hot cakes. We need a small device like this one to travel light but still be able to DJ. THANKS!
@@DirtyJokesFan I ordered my Schenker after watching Mojaxxs two videos. I'll do my own review, albeit badly and with a Scottish accent. Will need to put up subtitles. Lol.
P4boot Hi stupid question; i have a 2013 macbook pro, is the USB wire a regular one like the computer, or do i need something special for it to connect.
@@lenny4594 You're welcome! I've ordered these type of things a lot that's how I knew. One tip: don't unplug the USB cable from the controller often. The connector is fragile.

Your corporate clients did not mind that it was small?

Good job in the hotel room Mojaxx!!!
On my Mac, I use the Line In application to playback Serato out of the laptop speakers. Works like a charm!
I'd like to do the same, where's this line in app?

Nailed it. Wish they could have used a newer USB connection. A shift function button and some form of EQ would have been nice too, like the Hercules.
yea , but this one is done great too.
Is there any way you can make the pitch controller to channel faders?
Also is there any clue if this will ever be compatable with traktor?
the first one is good. this looks great again, i remapped the first one to fit my needs. I am glad they listened.
What did you remapped? How did u do it?
I currently have a Rane setup but looking for something small like this. I want a mobile setup. I'm sold. Thanks for the vid Mo
from rane to rain ? not sure if that's good. It's great device, but proper DJ setup is still 100% complete
I have the DJ2GO2 first then was disappointed by the jog wheels and ended purchasing the Hercules Starlight..which is wayyyy better
Same here....but the fader of the Hercules is garbage.... :-(.... Think I will try to Touch :-)
Same
Kirk State I think sound card is better and the fact you can browse and select tracks the DJ 2 go touch wins for me
I'll go for Hercules Starlight , it has a bass/filter knob.
Did u get the new 16 Mac book pro?
Midi mappable ? Would be handy to have something with jogwheels for use with an external mixer
it's possible connect to any daw like Ableton for example?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there a function on the controller to fast forward or rewind to a certain part of a track?
Hay mojakk I'm in the United States...do you want to get rid of any of the old mixers in the back ground .....
Yep! Another 2cm in height along the top and they could run a 3 band EQ using knobs on either side without losing anything and it would still be a perfect fit for the Macbook...sold!
Does this controller work with Rekordbox?

can you remap the level control knob or cue control in serato pro to say the filter? or eq?
Could this be connected to a tablet using an OTG cable?
As always great review and only $80 boom awesome 👍🏾

It's competition so one has to be ahead of the other...
Let's just wait for the overtake from numark
ma nel video si vede serato lite e serato pro???
I neer the mapper for virtual dj 8.3 please
I have Serrato DJ Pro it will not plug in play it’s keep asking me for a license I have the license software its self
Does anybody knows how to adjust the pitch tempo range on this thing? I normally play at +16

Great video, thank you. 👍
Sad to see big adapter on right side of MacBook Pro instead of popular USB connection
There is no mic input for Internet radio play
Wait, it dosen't work with just headphones?

Nice little bit of kit! Have you gone back to Apple laptops now or is this temporary due to easier compatibility with all the new gear?
It’s just for editing video on the road. Still happily using the Schenker windows laptop for DJing.
Mojaxx Great stuff. I ask only as I’m keen on getting a Schenker after seeing your previous reviews on it.💪🏾

@@brulafulive I look forward to seeing it! The more info on these laptops the better.
@@DirtyJokesFan it gets here on Wednesday. Can't wait
I think that maybe numark should make this with a full eq strip and gain controls instead of cue points just for the basics!!!!
You still cant play audio from the laptop speaker which for me is a major L
I love namm week
Same inital Talk as digital dj tip 5am
That USB connector is the biggest bummer. That thing is old and usually breaks within a year of moderate use! SMH. Thanks for the review.

@@lenny4594 the USB you need should be shipped in the box. So you don't need to worry about getting any other USB.
