Thanks for the timestamps. That's also appreciated.

Nothing will beat singing Mordecai in a packed sweaty room of maybe 100 people all scream crying the words in the heat of 2006 humid august evening. I’m so glad btbam are still going hard after all these years
bragging
@@jeffandrade2689 hating
Everything you said brings me back to Michigan 2006 Dirt Fest at the Birch Run expo center, the only difference is this show was outside not in a small room however the thick michigan august air after almost 2 day’s rain made the atmosphere exactly as you described, their weren’t a lot of ppl this day because of all the rain however about 3-4 hours before Btbam played which they started at 9 pm I believe the rain had subsided completely leaving a hot humid but not too humid cloudy night with a sprinkling of stars complete with a half or 66% full moon. Me, my band and our group of friends were hard core so we stuck out shows whether their be rain and lightning to hot and sweaty to cold AF snowing, sleet and rain, every type of whether we watched our fav bands play through it as we also played through such weather ourselves. Sure the hardcore weather days made for great stories and very unique experiences however there is nothing like having decent enough weather to where it doesn’t effect you or the band so severally that we cant all come together and have a special moment, well all of dirt fest that year was a muddy slop of disaster, this tour was named dirt fest specifically because of the mud and dirt youd be surrounded by due to the time of year and states this small tour ran in, 2006 dirt fest was a particularly a huge shit (rain+dirt=MUD) show which caused many to go home but the few whom stuck it out til the end got too wittiness an extremely special moment where BTBAM on a small stage with a small crowd 100 ppl like you said the weather subsided and we all became one the band and sound team knew this as wel so they had the volume ever so perfect that with all 100 ppl singing you could hear the music and vocals set a notch or 2 above but not to loud as to drown out the crowds vocals and and it will always be one of my most remembered moments seeing any band, id seen BRBAM 2 times prior both were equally phenomenal but this night had just that tad bit of unique sparkly rare dust that is not easily or often recreated.
The time doesn't matter.
Man this guy is the only vocalist who can do this style in a safe way. He sounds the same by the end of the set as he did in the beginning rather than his voice getting destroyed by the end of it. Idk how he does it
Reminds me of old mikael akerfeldt
Practice
More of us can do this than you think! It's a particular technique :)
@@maxcrowe isn’t it kind of like throat singing?
@@maxcrowe did you learn naturally, or are there lessons you recommend?
man ill never forget the first time i listened to colors, in my friends apartment, they left for a few and i slapped that cd into my buds cd player laying down on the floor of his room and i just felt blown away. i also felt melancholy, colors amplified the distant feeling inside me and seemed to preceed the predominant feeling i am used to today. almost like they were on to something. always ahead of the curve is btbam, i love you guys
You never forget your first time listening to Colors.
Yep, it's like you'd like to forget you ever heard it and do it again.
@@paulashwin247 if I could relive that album everyday I would. Actually changed my life.
Sun of Nothing into Ants of the Sky still stands as the best transition in all of metal history, or at least, it's pretty high up there, and they nailed it.
yes, super underated
Yes 👍
I like Option Oblivion -> Life in Velvet
They just did the same epic transition in their two new songs too.
Revolution in limbo into fix the error btw
@@notdjamesentertainment4473 yup. It already hurts to not hear the transition between the two. Had my playlist on shuffle and it fucked me up. Fuck, I can't wait to hear it in it's entirety.
I have been watching these guys for years and for the life of me I still don't know how they can keep time so impeccably (I mean, it's FLAWLESS) with such intricate and complex arrangements. It's mystifying.
in-ear monitors with a click track is probably the key. though id imagine with enough rehearsal they could do without.. definitely a group of very talented fellas.
One of the greatest Progressive METAL bands of the 21st century. My favourite album by them is 'Parallax II'.
Edit: Also, 'Automata II' was a late-career highlight. 'The Grid' is one of their most beautiful songs.
Same
one of the greatest... PERIOD
Parallax II is an absolute masterpiece, these are some of the most creative cats making music right now.
That album was so innovative
Same, but I include Parallax 1 with it
I listen to BtBaM every once and a while just as a reminder of what true musicianship looks and sounds like
The end of white walls gives me goos bumps every time. Brought a tear to my eye this time 🤘
Yep
I was a fan of them back in the early 2000's, circa Alaska and Colors and this just made my day!
I'd love to see them live. My hubby introduced me to this band almost 20 yrs ago. My fav song is selkies the endless obsession. The most talented band I know 💜
They are the best live band I've ever seen, and I have seen hundreds!!
I just began to appreciate what a fucking masterpiece ants of the sky is
Yeah this song stands tall to everything they've made, to me, and I love all of their music.
One of my favorites of all time... Prequel to the Sequel is another great one.
All of The Great Misdirect is great too
@@Iheartdgd while colors is amazing and legendary. I honestly have listened to misdirect more idk everyone grows but me.
@@lakeside1168 and honestly... I’m with you man. I’ve seen the colors set twice and it blew me away , but TGMD hits me in a way that no other music has before... but hey, I’m with ya man.. at some point we _all_ just have to close one eye and step to the side ...
What. A. Mix. All in a basement and it sounds just like the studio. It’s amazing.
if that's Jamie's basement, i think thats where they record anyways
@@rypro525 this was in Blake's parents house iirc
The fidelity is way worse but the balancing is really good yeah.
Man I love Briggs' tone in Colors, always have. The man plays bass boulders.
Most original and talented bands ever period, straight mind blowing to watch them play!
This band makes me proud to be a North Carolinian. Seriously, the best metal you have ever heard. NC all day baby. Been fortunate to have seen them a bunch of times. Tremont Music Hall when Colors came out \m/ I was 18 haha take me back
Those keys go straight to my heart every time. Thank you for this masterpiece.
My all time favorite album. It's perfect.
The older I get, the most I appreciate Colors
Yep.
Colors II time
Me too. And I already fully appreciated it when I first heard it in 2008. It just never, ever gets old for me.
i thought this was a cover band at first. they look so different since the last time ive seen them in concert. the colors concept album is unreal. you can play it start to finish on on a loop and its one giant song
also, paul waggoner is a f**********king god amongst men
Exactly! I agree. It is one huge, epic song. And yeah they do look soooooo different! It's so weird!
Paul and Tommy swapped their hair.
Yeah Colors was a fantastic album. No filler all killer.
@@Grimeyhoob That might be the perfect description. Thanks for that! Killer; no filler!
That WHITE WALLS voice is a wail from beyond. Gotdamn it chills.
Guitar bro down during Selkies put a big smile on my face. Thanks guys.
Oh my gosh it was so great seeing the camera pan out and Dustie staring at Paul! Haha! XD
Had this running in the background and forgot this wasn't the recorded album I was listening to
They nail it every time. Colors 10 Year was probably the best show I've ever been to.
@@notsure1969 aw man, I never went to a show during that tour but knew I would regret it for eternity. Many years later, feeling the same way! Nice going man

I mean, they already have a live album of colors.
Digitally? The album itself is available everywhere plus they did a live album front to back of this.
UA-cam is digital last time i checked

The GOAT. Incredible stimina and musicianship.
Dudes are straight up jamming in the crib like I do... I dig it. NC metal, love u guys♥️
love it..love it .love itt.... i love all their song... from Malaysia 🇲🇾.. #staysafe
Это можно смотреть бесконечно 🙏
Only band that I can forget I’m not listening to the album recording if I’m not watching the video.
What an amazing sound mix. What a time to be alive in man. Back when I was growing up, you basically had to haul your ass to a concert. Now I can just beam them $30 and watch the show on my ass in the comfort of my home. And it sounds infinitely better than it would at a live show.
Love you guys, can’t wait to finally catch that Great Misdirect tour whenever we can have concerts again.
Glad to be alive and listen to this.
Can’t believe i didn’t catch this live… gets me excited for colors 2!
The fucking greatest of our generation, they deserve a title! BTBAM is the best prog metal band.
Yeah its really no question. I actually cant name any prog band with an 1/8th of what they have. Its disgusting how hard they hit. The feels, the heavy, and everything in between. Sometimes feels like your brain is melting from dopamine overload
That fill @54:43 is great! Love how the splash fits in. Excellent job as always by BTBAM
the part starting at 59:50 -1:00:06 is my favorite right before the breakdown! greatest build up to breakdown in this song but that small part has allways been my favorite
BTBAM is our generation's "Pink Floyd", if you will.
IF WE WILL???? Yes we mf may 🤣😂🤣😂😂
@Java Fusion thats what's I'm talkin about!!!
@@chrissantiago3991 I just listened to ad a dglgmut for the first time
I will
I hear this said so much.
BtBAM is too good to be conpared to Pink Floyd. They're more like the 'Death' of our generation. Even that's a hard comparison to draw, only because BtBAM is obviously very eclectic.
59:00 Dustie just casually tapping without even looking. Stone cold
dude's a badass
dudes played that part more times than Ive taken a breath lol
Thank you my good sir for giving us such amazing musical content. Cheers!
I followed Dan Briggs on Myspace before he joined BtBaM. First time I had ever done something like that with a new member to a band that I already loved. Usually you hate the next guy that comes in, but I knew they were in perfect hands with Dan.
Im about to see this live in a day less than 2 weeks.
. . . Then Colors 2 two nights after.
Havent been to a live show in YEARS, and this will be an absolute legendary rechristening.
I just flew back to Orlando after seeing both shows in Baltimore. It was absolutely AMAZING. Unforgettable experience.
I saw them on the colors tour, it honestly was one of those moments I'll remember forever, but for them it was a Saturday at the music farm.
Love seeing the sticks fly around in the booth
This is exactly what I needed. Thanks, guys.
This is so awesome by the way. It’s at the top of my bucket list to see you guys live.
It was the best night of my life.
I can confirm. It’s absolutely mind-blowing
@@theriffnotebook8412 was suppose to go see them for the parallax 2 tour (which is my favorite album) in Portland but the plans got screwed up so we didn’t get to go.. same thing happened for great misdirect anniversary tour.. pretty sad.. I really hope the do a parallax anniversary tour in a couple yearswhere they play 1 and 2.. would not miss it for the world.
@@teeple1877 It wouldn’t surprise me. They did it for Colors and The Great Misdirect
Thank you for this!!! Had tickets to see them last year but covid fucked that up. Hope tour still happens one day
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, it'll happen, eventually. Got tickets for TGM show too, I can't wait.
Show happened, and it was even better than I expected. Best band alive today.
This is so tidy, I just love it.
Shout to Blake Richardson BTW... one of my #1 influences in music in general since 2008.

Thanks. Best wishes for 2022.

YOOOOO best album thanks for doing this BTBAM 🔥👍
this choked me up.

FLAWLESS !!!!! once again ....

ants of the sky was the song that introduced me to Btbam, what an introduction indeed
One of the absolute greatest bands to ever do it… hip hop has Tupac and biggie.. we have BTBAM and prayer for cleansing
BTBAM kicks ass ! this is awesome, Colors is still my favorite set 🤘
hats off to that bassist :kappa: one of the best in the world no cap
BTBAM always amazing..Stellar!
Dan briggs with the talking heads shirt! 🤘 love it when my favorite artists like the stuff i like!
This performance helped me keep my sanity during the pandemic.
Best metal album ever made. Period.
First time I saw BTBAM was in 2004 with Converge and Cave In in Nashville, Tennessee and Jesus,.was that show good as fuuuuuck!!!!!!
Why aren't my neighbors ever this cool
1:00:00 Tommy trying to meme before "WHITE WALLS"
hahahahahahhaha I laught my ass of when I saw it lmao!
He almost had it.
BTBAM, very much thanks for sharing this! Amazing session!
What a conclusion to this brilliant set!
YES!
I love these guys, im workin alot my vocal....Giles totally mutilates vocals!!!
You wanna keep it up, don't smoke or drink. Be a health nut
Excellent as always.
It's so ridiculous how this sounds just like the album
36:50 is the best moment in music of all time
Ah, some parts of the White Walls solo DID sound off to me and Paul confirmed it, pretty much to Blake, at 1:02:46.
What a level of musicmanship it must be to just be playing with each other!
Who put Blake in a box? Ain’t nobody puts Blake in a box!
Lead vocal volume needed to be lowered a bit while lead guitar needed a slight boost in volume but the volume on the drums was way to low but still ITS FUCKING BTBAM, their performance was stellar as usual, thank you all for this!
Cheers from Portugal 🧡
53:00 still gets me breaking my neck
we need devotion
26:28 is my favorite part!
Can someone put timestamps? Pleeaaaassseee
Man i thought the same thing at first but I think it will take away from the experience! I have a new appreciation for them for doing it in this way!!
Not said enough. Dustie does his job really fckn well
Man the vocalist realling rocking that bo burnham look
Christ Almighty.
I need to practice...
Tomorrow
@@BenShottsGuitarist who in this video is throwing a temper tantrum? These guys are ridiculously skilled musicians
@@thedangersofoxygen135 All of them. The lack of genuine musicality is insufferable. These guys are like a bad cliche. Endless distortion, endless sweeps, cliche basic drumming, shit singing, over use of scream growl, complete lack of real melody, piano skills lack etc. I recommend they go back to 4/4 write a good song and rebuild into the higher techniques once basics of musical art are obtained.
So why are you even listening to them. Go back to your classical music
@@thedangersofoxygen135 I'm listening to them because they were highly recommended to me by several friends. It's funny how you identified classical as better music though I never cited it but I listen to all genres.

Blake Richardson is freaking unreal
that selkies solo is so damn good
Does Paul palm mute the last three notes of the harmonized part, right before the solo of white walls on the album? Lol. Just curious. Sounds a little different.
I'm just trying to put a total value of all those cymbals on the wall. Blake is a lucky duck
