    I spray alcohol first then place buds. My buds are homegrown and always keep their purple.

    Try dipping them in pure(1st process) wax cappings beeswax- this is *the purest* wax, what makes a WHITE candle. Without any dye. It's a very light yellow at first, until heated and formed, then cools to the purest of virgin whites. What's actually used in(and donated to, as a tithe) churches! For *THEIR* ceremonial candles.😉you just won't find a purer wax. Of course, a light enough dip will leave you with that clear coat when dry.

      Wow, that's a fantastic idea. Never would have thought of something like that, cool!😃

      That's a great idea. I allow my botanicals to soak in melted shea butter or avocado oil (because of the high unsaponifiables). That always kept mine from turning brown even when thoroughly mixed into the soap, but I love this idea.

    Cool and subtle design. 💐 I felt like the size of your bar became wider right? Now they look a big bar for me. I am not sure. May be I am wrong. Enjoyed the video though missed your pleasing talk and smile. 💕💕

    Hi Ellen! I just made my first batch of goats milk soap and when I cut it, I noticed little yellow spots. Is this because I need to strain my goats milk/lye solution or maybe I should have put my mold in the freezer? My goats milk was frozen and I soaped at room temp. 🤔 Thank you...I sure enjoy your videos!

    • @EllenRuthSoap
      @EllenRuthSoap  2 роки тому +1

      Some times the milk fats can turn dark yellow, it can be tricky. Some folks do put the soap in the fridge to prevent gel phase..

      @leannewagner4630 2 роки тому

      Thank you very much! I stick blended my gm/lye mixture this time to break up the little pieces of fat and then I strained. I put this loaf in the fridge...fingers crossed!! I very much appreciate your feedback!

    When I use flower buds of any type on top I let the soap cure first then I drizzle a little melt and pour on top to act as glue. Sometimes neater so it's not obvious and sometimes I drop it on carelessly and let the drops drop. I like that melting type look

    Dust your lavender buds with a nice purple mica and it will help keep them purple❤️❤️❤️🙏🇨🇦

    You are right, they do look like mouse poop on top of the soap and then they all fall off during the cut. I love the way your soap looks. That's my story...I use that line all the time. LOL The top looks great.

    Have you ever had issues with fragrance oil spots? I discovered that if I don’t mix the FO very well in the oil mixture, I get these brown spots that smell strongly of FO.

    • @EllenRuthSoap
      @EllenRuthSoap  3 роки тому

      I haven't had that issue, but I have had a few FO's seep and that's a huge bummer...

    Looks lovely!! Do you freeze your goats milk? Does your lye solution have titanium dioxide? So creamy and white! Love it ❤️

    Hi Ellen, I enjoyed watching that vid and the soap came out looking creamy and luxurious..thank you !
    Do you use a cooled lye mixture to add to the frozen goat milk cubes, or do u use the lye when it’s hot and then use it to melt the cubes...I use it hot but the milk still scorches slightly.

    • @EllenRuthSoap
      @EllenRuthSoap  4 роки тому

      Thank you! I use frozen goat milk cubes and add my lye very slowly to reduce scorching.
