As I briefly mentioned in a previous recent video... I have been uploading a little less lately as I have been struggling with my hand pain (I have multiple issues: repetitive strain/osteoarthritis/inflammation, nerve & tendon pain) plus having the time and energy to film/edit around my job and rest my hands (which is what I'm supposed to be doing but don't). For now, I plan on uploading every other week which I will find a huge help. Thanks so much for your patience, understanding and continued support, I really appreciate it. Quite new to the houseplant world and as yet don’t have any air plants, but I do like the way they look, so will have to indulge! Love the variety of ways you have yours displayed!

Love all your Tillandsias. I’ve tried that soaking method but mine end up rotting in my environment. I started keeping them only in my bathroom like my mounted plants and they do fine with just the shower moisture. I would like to try putting them in other rooms again but I’m afraid to kill them again. 😂

So lovely i had two of them last year i used to soak them too and put them face down to let all the water out but i dont know what i did wrong they die on me so ive been afraid to buy more even tho i love them, but i will give it another try using your method and using the fertilizer, thank you for the advice look forward to see Marvin next time😊

Hi Hannah. Thanks for lovely vlog, I don’t have as many as you, but I will now soak mine longer ,I only been soaking 15-30 mins , I didn’t know you could get fertilzer for them, which company did you get your plants from ? as at the garden center where I go they don’t have much choice

Hi Hannah ! Thank you for a lovely peaceful video! I was wondering if you sprayed fertilizer in the water while soaking . I know the bottled said to spray fertilizer on them . Thank you! 🌿💚 You’re only meant to fertilise them during the growing season, I just mist them directly with the fertiliser in spring and summer. If you have a look at the links under this video, I included the air plant haul video, underneath that is a link to the shop and if there’s any discount code and it will be there 🌿

so you don't put gravel or anything on the bottom of those air plants when you put them in a pot
So far I have been unable to find airplant fertilizer in my part of Canada. Amazon Canada hasn't carried it so far. I just plop mine in my 20gallon aquarium to soak & so far they seem to do fine. I've had them just about a year now so fingers crossed they continue to do well.

Do you get little bugs? Gnats? How do you deal with them?
I haven’t had fungus gnats for a long time. If you search on my channel I made a video about them a while back 🌿
Some of those plants should only be sprayed … not soaked. That is probably why you had a rotting problem
Thanks for the tip! Although it was fine the past six months… This was one that flowered during the summer and never produced any pups so maybe it was on its way out anyway 🌿
