Angela J that’s a really good point! Buyers need to express their opinions, I didn’t mean it to sound that way because after all it’s people that make fashion and designers are inspired by people and current culture, that’s how they create collections. Lord Bowser - LOL, so you know many boys walking about wearing pleated, flowy, silk Bermuda shorts? Women don’t stop caring about fashion just because they’ve gotten older, and those of us over 50 are always thrilled when there are more modest trends appropriate for us. My days of mini skirts and short-shorts are *long* over!
@@altitudeiseverything3163 Someone of them straight up looked like expensive cargo shorts lol. But I see your point. I do think that on older women this would be a good look, but on most of these models it looked odd.
Ok guys pull out your old peddle pushers or go to thrift store, because the slim fit long shorts that end at just below or at the knee been around since the late 50's . Bermuda shorts are oversize loose fit at around the knee shorts, sometime called trouser shorts. I wear them paired with blazers, during Winter with a good pair of tights. Vintage jeans, young people run to the thrift store or better yet go to your mom's or grandma closet and beg and have fun with it. Man this may be the first year that I might not be able to sport my short shorts, it not an age thing because I am 58 but it a drop off being active this past couple of years and it catching up with me thang. The 70's look? I am a child of the 70's, so this is where I shine knowing first hand that everything basically on the runway can be found in the thrift stores and this video is a great inspiration for putting together these looks. Trends is basically reintroducing a look to a younger generation as a fad. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you in the days to come. Happy and bless New Year!
After a very long career in the fashion industry, I'm usually not impressed with sites like this, but YOU HIT IT ON THE NOSE. Trends that can be translated to any price point always become big. I feel the "Bermuda suit" will be huge!

This back and forth generation bashing is tiresome and unproductive. Can’t we just state opinions anymore *without* blaming all our problems on someone else? Sheesh! 🙄
70sNEON - Very true! I remember a dress that I had in the mid-‘70s - sleeveless, with a dropped waist, pleated skirt, just above the knee - which had a definite ‘20s flapper vibe. Some of the shoes did, as well. Every decade has borrowed at least *some* style elements from previous time periods!
Do all the design houses get together to decide what the collections will be . I think Victoria Beckham designs what she likes, and doesn't follow all the other fashion houses.
Exactly. Because she is an independent designer with her own point of view and without gigantic commercial ambitions. There are almost no independent designers in this compilation. Most of those brands belong either to LVMH or Gucci group.
Than You!👍 good work. So tired of all the soulless yt'bers pushing their own opinions and agendas trying to get all insecure and misguided and boring. This is pure information and education👍.

How can u call it a trend if the year just started and it's not what u mainly see people wearing. I mean they want it to be the trend but it's not yet. Have to wait and see
Okay, I'm still waiting for the "new" fresh looks. Still waiting...still waiting. Okay, darn, I get it, your creativity is on hiatus. 😔 In that case, a time machine back to the past...1920s, 1980s, may help when the quality was far superior to what these will only hope to be. That's when M.I.A (Made in America) actually meant something and was synonymous with quality.
Literally nothing about these collections is new or innovative. If the video hadn’t included the designer’s names, the majority of these lines would’ve been indistinguishable from one another.
There seem to be a real revival of interest to bermudas and 70s but the one about mini-shorts is SO far-fetched. Saint Laurent and Isabel Marant ALWAYS do mini-shorts. Still there are no ways for this garment to become a BIG trend. Should i explain reasons for that?..
I kinda like those Bermuda shorts! 🤗 ... If I were skinnier I’ll be rocking those mini-shorts ... the 70’s look, well, you have to have the right body and attitude for it... vintage jeans? WTH? My least fav.
Umm i hope you know no one is asking you to wear them. These are pret a Porter for celebs and/or just expression of creativity of designers. You do you

Thanks for this breakdown, there was soo much to take in I lost track
Already talking about summer 2020 and it’s only Jan 3... why can’t 👏🏽we just👏🏽 live in 👏🏽the 👏🏽present moment!!

THAT Fendi show is 🔥! I love getting inspiration from these shows and than thrifting these designer pieces 2nd hand!
Wauw amazing😊(thankyou for adding the name of the brand)
You know what they say, everything recycles every 20 years🤷🏽♀️
Ikr, so early 2000s, didn't find it very fascinating tbh 😂
There was some mid 90s and a bit of 70s. The dresses were slightly different but the suits were just super broad shouldered.
So many brands focused on youth and revving the past
Straight out of Goodwill I love it
Early 2000s vs the 70s vs jean bottoms you could find at your local Goodwill
So true 😂😂😂
That's where I get most of my jeans.
It's really boring. Guess I'll stick to avant garde, leisure athletics and...house slob.
No bermuda for me..
I beg to differ
They are so boyish, unfaltering, and boring to look at. Waiting for Billie Eyelash to wear them now.

Fail to understand how blue jeans are a new trend
think of it as more of denim overload trend, where you see denim on denim or denim accessories, things of that nature
There's lots distressing and applied details. Those aren't just blue jeans.
