Black models + Gold = AMAZING!
I know right, black models can make anything pop. They have beautiful skin tones.

DKZ golds, vibrant greens, mustard yellows and vibrant silk or bedazzled reds always favor black skins more. It looks beautiful and the colors stand out where as light skin tones favor dark colors. Dark blues purples, reds browns and blacks more.

Indeed! And am I wrong in saying these designs just looked SO much better on the melinated models, whereas the non-melinated ones made the clothes look just...meh...just my opinion of course🤔
These designs are absolutely gorgeous, but clearly made for melinated skin....the darker skin tones makes the clothes appear even more stunning somehow
for some reason the dark skinned models make the dress sexier!
The designs are Egyptian. That's why they look better on the darker skinned models.

pthesmith - Yes, most Egyptian people *have* darker skin, but what you're saying is the equivalent of a Chinese inspired collection and saying the dresses look better on the Asian models because they're Asian. No, the dresses look better on the models who have a strong walk and personality to sell the dress and the darker models in this show have TONS of that!

I've watched this Collection over 6times hands down one of the most beautiful fashion shows ever.
This is very amazing! This designer understands style, fabric, texture and movement. He really understands a women’s body. This is his second collection that I have viewed. He just might be my favourite designer. All I can say is This Show was powerful, graceful, Impactful and magical.
The black skin model...they are slaaaay...yass...badass...

But if you havnt already, you should definitely check out the CHANEL Paris New York collection... it told the story of Egypt resurrecting through the creation and establishment of New York and its obsession with the ancient civilization.... Karl and the house of Chanel perfectly brought to life the spirit and essence of the Nile river valley!
Problem is, you need not only to be loaded, but
a perfect body as well. I'm almost 50, and fairly
well toned, but not even in my youth I'd have
dared to wear plunging necklines and slits
showing legs from the hip to the ankles
The issue is, you need a perfect body to wear those outfits. Even if you're
loaded, you need to be tanned and well toned to pull of the slits showing
the whole leg and the plunging necklines. I'm almost fifty and well toned
for my age, (lipo here and there) but even in my youth I wouldn't have da-
red to show so much skin.

It depends on the color they are wearing. The light brown gowns does not look that good on the dark skin

Because I don't have the knowledge.. And on top that.. So what if I called them Egyptian goddesses.. We Muslims don't discriminate on color + we Muslims talk to people very patiently and respectfully.. Not in a very disrespecting and provoking... way... This designer KNOWS how to flatter a woman’s body like NONE OTHER. I so wish they had full, curvy, or fit/muscular models in their show because to see these on other sizes and shapes would be absolutely glorious.

some extra meat would have been nice, but it's extra work for designer and harder for models to keep exact proportions...bones are bones and every human has them, and usually the point is for the dress to look good not the human inside. :\ sigh.
but if Victoria secret can do it with more healthy looking models I'm sure others can.
I must say for me.. I have naturally such a body was it quite flattering to see.. Because I see from all sides of social media how skinny is ugly and curvy is beautiful.. And this video somehow made me feel good
But yeah still more diversity would be nice.. But it's harder for the maker of the dresses
@@lolalina_ I have a niece who is a UK size 4. She’s tiny, like a doll. She finds it SO difficult to buy adult clothes in her size! I’m curvy and that’s difficult to. I agree with you that diversity is the way forward. 😊

Black, olive and tan skin and dark hair made this collection. The extreme pale skin in all back also looked great, the reds and gold should have been on darker models only
I agree! If it was red and silver or another cool tone it would compliment the fair skin complexion! Gold is not for anyone who has no suntan! Lol... also people need to remember grey and black don’t go with everything! Black is best with metallics or grey and white, not vibrant colors, and light grey is not good for anyone with warm/deep skin tone, it is best for cool tone/fair skin with dark hair, if you are bleach blonde stay away from light ashy grey!

Wether a piece of clothing washes you out based on your complexion is not "telling women what to wear" it's a principle of fashion. Wear what you want. But it's not exactly going to look as great as it would on another person of different skin tone

These pieces are not only gorgeous on their own, they truly sublimate the woman body... The fact that they were all designed by a man is so sweet, I think. This collection is like a huge compliment/homage to women. Wow.

@@luisnieves8242 on the catwalk, they are very feline and the gold color suits their skin completion better. Don't forget Egyptians of old were black, these color and type of dresses were initially made so suit their color.
You can't pick a favorite. Just when you thought you had it here comes another. Truly beautiful. Don't you ever wonder who ends up with the dress at the end of his shows. It would be such a waste if someone didn't.

@@mairahmanzini2928 they dont get to keep these. These dresses at the bare minimum would be around 30k. The dresses are usually all sold during or right after the show to people in the audience or over the phone.

WOW! Talk about a sensation for the eyes! It’s like eating a whole box of Godiva chocolates in one sitting and knowing you are gonna probably throw up, but not caring. Sooo lush!! Absolutely the most stunning thing I’ve ever seen I’ve ever seen in fashion. No favorite, but did love the little take on the “Chanel/London Fog” jacket.

ELEGANZA!!! One thing: more deeper toned and tanned models would have made these metallic, jeweled fabrics stand out more and shown their true elegance. The pale skin with the true gold foil just washes them out more. They suit the peachy and baby blue colors more. Just my harmless suggestion. Peace

Definitely should have one of the darker skinned girls model the wedding dress. All beautiful models, I have to say though, the darker skinned models seem to just have a "wow" factor on the runway.

I think all Lebanese designers are on the same level such as Elle Saab, Zuhair Murad, George Hubeika, George Chakra and Reem Acra but Elle Saab still the King if Haute Couture.
Agreed he surpassed and laped both. However, I watched the D&G (women's) several times and thought it wasn't a total failure - except for the rediculous fascinators, props, and big poofey ballgowns gowns. That show was an amazing production, though. Elle Saab was my second fave this season - bit too much frufru around the necks. A lot of similarities in all 3; however, I never tire of looking at this collection. Perfection!

I would have been so happy if the finale dress at 11:11 was being worn by the same model at 3:01 & 8:35 - that girl didn’t do the dress justice and she would have fitted the Egyptian theme so much better. The contrast against her skin would have been stunning.

If you think this is nice you must watch all of the CHANEL fashion shows from 2019 and before karl passed away... he was a true artistic genius, the music, the set designs are beyond belief, and the fashion is like you’ve never seen anything like it! I can never choose a favorite show, but the Paris New York was a genius take on the Egyptian culture, it told the story of Egypt being resurrected through New York elite and their archeological obsession in the early 1900s, the show took place at a 3,000 year old Egyptian temple relocated to its eternal resting place at the MET museum in New York! Fashion is there in anything that we wear if we wear it with confidence. Every clothe here has a unique element in it. And this is one of the best collections that I have seen so far.😍

When dark skin shines brighter.
The man knows how to make gorgeous works of art. Only two things: I agree that even though all the models were beautiful, darker skins were too few. And lastly, there were maybe one or two models that looked way too young for their dresses, like they were playing dress up with older sisters clothes. They were absolutely beautiful, but it was a teeny tiny bit jarring, and broke the story he’d taken so much effort to create for us.
These are the most stunningly beautiful cloths I have ever seen in my life. Absolutely astonishing. The Egyptian ensembles looked so expensive and authentic that the ladies looked like Egyptian Queen's come to life. Nothing like this collection ..beyond words.
I felt like choosing models isn't random.
Every one has a figure that perfectly complement the strengths and character of the gown.
