Agree on the mood and fitness of the team. I really think we can do something tonight. Agree on the team too, Ethan is so deadly coming on, I prefer him to be on the bench and used as a joker (coming in early if we needs goal or just replacing on RW)
I agree with the Havertz comment. He needs someone to share the burden. He's getting blamed on things that's not completely his fault. He's not a clinical striker, but he's brilliant at a lot of other things. If we can bring in someone to share the goals, he would be a lot fresher, too. That would help with his goal scoring ability.
Any competent top level professional, especially a regular in the German national squad should have buried at least half of these ridiculous sitters he's missed.
My complaint is not that they didn't grab someone on deadline day - that will often not end well - but that they did not plan in December for an approach for someone they wanted/needed at the beginning of the window. The needs were known but now we face the risk - even likelihood - that we will have injuries or suspensions or just exhaustion of players and results will suffer. Hopefully lessons learned for the summer
Liverpool been handed title by lack of transfers by Arsenal. WE REALLY DON, T HAVE AMBITION AT THIS CLUB. ANOTHER SEASON THAT IS A STEP BACKWARDS. SALIBA, RICE, ODEGARD SAKA SHOULD GO ELSEWHERE IF THEY WANT TO BE WINNERS.
Charles, Ethan Nwaneri can play as striker. He's performed really well in the role for Arsenal and England youth teams. It's got to be worth a try. Martinelli is also a good finisher and surely worth giving a run in the role.
I think we just have to accept the situation and be patient. To say we haven't made good decisions last summer isnt entirely correct. If you have the opportunity to sign an elite defender like calafiori doesn't present itself every day and we took it. If the right attackers simply aren't available then you just need to wait.
@ Does that player exist. If yes, are they available. If no, then move on to alternative targets that might not offer you everything you are looking for, but is good enough to add to this team.
@@perrybarbe7789 Yes, and they're the ones they've been speaking to in the past for a while. Thanks Charles. I have come to observe that anytime fans, journalists and other people talk about Arsenal, when they mention "the club", they tend to exclude Arteta out of it. Now that the dust has settled following #MLS outrageously unacceptable celebration.. 🙄.. can we talk about Bernado Silva kicking trossard and getting away Scot-free..? Really hope the ref does their job today.
Hey @charles_watts, I have a question about the summer transfer window 23/24. What% blame would you attribute to Edu, Arteta, Owners for failing to sign a striker in that window? Hope you can help me settle a debate with a friend!
Sesko won't cut it here he's going to struggle, viktor gyökeres is very decisive just watch how he plays. He knows wen to shoot, wen to pass he iz the proper finisher. Getting sesko come here is going to be another 3years for him.
Arteta looked pretty happy to me!! The fact is Arsenal have no money to spend the owners won’t dip into their own pockets that’s what they not telling us. I’ve just accepted it we are a big club with a small mentality! Time we all manage our expectations. Never won a champion league or a league title in 20 years why do you think that is ?
Er owners can't put their hands in their pockets anymore due to PSR, plus the spending cap, SCR coming in, being 70% of football revenue. Cannot blame the owners at all in this instance.
Those same owners who repeatedly spent over the years, breaking spending records several times? Those "small ambition" owners? Some really have the memory of good fishes... 😅 That doesn't make this transfer window any less of a disaster but some of the "arguments" put forward are just silly.
Okay my Arsenal fans I’m disappointed like you all but we must understand that football is not what it used to be it’s all about finances and if you don’t keep your account in order year in year out you have problems as time goes on, look I’m very sad and upset but I’m going to support my team no matter what after 53 years as a Arsenal fan no one is going to change me , we needed a striker we should of got someone on loan seeing as we couldn’t get the striker we wanted and I agree with that because who we want were not moving until the summer, we should of got somebody on loan. Chin up my family let’s not argue amongst ourselves support our team up there Arsenal 😊😊😊😊💯👍
I think if Newcastle don’t win anything nor get Champions league Isak will push for a move. He won’t want to waste another year out of Champions League
8:15 Listen all this garbage!!! Us talking about other teams that have already won it! And we refuse to try and win it by bringing in the right players, and fans out here making excuses
This is the reason city are better than us they just go and buy who they need eg 4 players in Jan and in the summer will go in market again we will always be behind city unless we change we are eV favs to beat Newcastle by the bookies and not very often they are wrong
Let’s be real, Charles-while the manager could’ve used some reinforcements given the injuries and the light striker options, who was actually available at a sensible price? No one. So, what’s the move? Do you panic buy, overpay for a short-term fix, and wreck your summer plans? Or do you trust the squad, manage minutes smartly, and go all-in for the big prizes this season? The moaners would’ve snapped up anyone with two working legs. The diehards wanted the club to throw £100m at a "credible" name, even if he wasn’t right. The sensible ones know it’s about getting the right player, at the right price, who actually fits the long-term vision. And let’s not pretend the Ollie Watkins saga was driven by Arsenal-it was Villa posturing, knowing they’d never entertain £40m. Arsenal saw the narrative, let it ride, and kept their cards close. Smart. Yes, it’s a risk running some of these players into the ground, but if you finish top two and make a deep UCL run, the financial rewards set up a blockbuster summer window to complete the puzzle. And looking ahead… Liverpool are overperforming this season-won’t be the same next year. City are entering a rebuild phase. Chelsea are still lost in their billion-pound sandbox. United? Spurs? Villa? Newcastle? Not happening. 🚨 2025/26 will be Arsenal’s year. 🚨 Keep the faith. The Emirates is cooking. 🔴⚪🔥
Ollie, Isak, Cumbs were never going to join any team. Arsenal were never interested in buyimg any player. They locked the excuse from beginning inside "we trued and failed" to manage and cool down fans. Some olayers will get injured in the next few weeks and frustration will continue. Every year is the same.
Arteta should also be disappointed in himself. There is no way he should have let the club hierachy leave him with only Havertz. No way. even for the sake of numbers, he should have insisted on a straight loan with no obligation to buy. crass irresponsibility on the part of everyone involved with this fiasco
Clubs are only ever as good as their owners... Unfortunately in sport now if you have the best owners you will win everything If you have American owners you'll never win anything
@LeeHargreaves-x5b yeh totally understand this..and Liverpool have been amazing with very little help from the owners and after this season they won't win anything again for 15-20 years once Salah goes .. Americans use the clubs to borrow money on and invest in other things they prefer in America.. they Laden the English clubs with billions in debt they don't really have any interest in winning things.. they just want the values to be at a certain level and then borrow and borrow and borrow until they can't borrow anymore... you'll see next season when almost no investment gets made to improve the clubs.. it's all about the value of the club to them not the winning. It's just luck who owns you going forward, unfortunately
The biggest surprise for Arsenal fans will come this summer when the board will sign no one significant! The Kroenkes are happy with this position so the fans better get used to celebrating coming second, third or fourth for many years to come until the virus sells
Arsenal have invested heavily in midfield and defenders. You are crazy to blame board or owners for the winter window which is realistically not easy and overpriced players. Arsenal will definitely sign a forward most likely Sesko. A midfield zubimendi, although we might need another midfield if partey leave with jorginho. And a backup keeper most likely from espanyol.
Judging by your comments, you’re more of a headloss AFTV fan. Keep your head screwed on. The board have invested good money and will likely invest £200 million+ in the summer, and not everyone who believes that is a corporate pandering sheep
@@jamesieco-de2000 future forecasts in many fields usually get constructed on the basis of possible performance. Since the takeover of KSE in 2006 Arsenal have not won the league. Osimhen is the best option profile age pricetag and physicality. He's awesome and he's a proven winner and proven goal getter. Please we should go all out for him instead of Isak IMO. The KH29 situation is more like the Haland situation botn of them don't have backups until the end of the season.
When have we signed 90m players and it hasn’t worked, Pepe we all know was a dodgy or potentially back pocket deal based on someone losing their job after investigation, don’t get me wrong it doesn’t have to be a superstar name but what is this obsession of buying sesko or no one, ridiculous… we want the right profile yet we panic loaned sterling, panic loaned Neto who is cup tied, panic bought havertz who was never a target and now has been tried in several positions, it’s all PR when the club and youtubers say we don’t want to buy just anyone, fans don’t fall for it!!!
@Littlevoicedeepwithin plenty of managers have been honest in the market saying they dont expect buisness to happen so that is completely false. Sure even emery came out and said we had no money to make signings so don't even have to look far in our own history. We have only spent like 20m net over the last 3 windows. Our players will soon be leaving for more ambitious clubs
The fraud Edu needs to come under more heat at Arsenal. He was a terrible DOF. He could never get our first choice attackers, and he waited too long every window to move.

I'll be happy if he only scores 1- the Winner at Anfield in May to put us top, level on points but better goal difference.
We're not in better shape than Liverpool. Jeez, some of our fans need their heads testing!
Transfer windows like the last two is the reason players like Saliba and Saka leave and go too clubs with ambitions.
Sesko is already doing it in a much stronger league than Gyokeres tho
This said, I'd happily get him too 👍
Not bringing in players that just there to make up the numbers, yet he brought in sterling.
Who's "he"?
And was it a success?
Arteta looked pretty happy to me!! The fact is Arsenal have no money to spend the owners won’t dip into their own pockets that’s what they not telling us. I’ve just accepted it we are a big club with a small mentality! Time we all manage our expectations. Never won a champion league or a league title in 20 years why do you think that is ?
Er owners can't put their hands in their pockets anymore due to PSR, plus the spending cap, SCR coming in, being 70% of football revenue. Cannot blame the owners at all in this instance.
@alfredthegreat9543 So who do you blame for the club not signing anyone?
The Chonburi traffic police?
Those same owners who repeatedly spent over the years, breaking spending records several times?
Those "small ambition" owners?
Some really have the memory of good fishes... 😅
That doesn't make this transfer window any less of a disaster but some of the "arguments" put forward are just silly.
Why do u still use edus picture
Interesting how you contently leaving out that Mikel has been consistent about not wanting anybody.
Owners let Arteta down poor players will get burned out and risk even more injuries….definitely trouble ahead 🤷🏽♂️
Chida should have stayed. haha
4-1.. to the Arsenal, big gabby to score first.. thank me now.
Im imagining Kai havertz playing upfront wearing some Forrest Gump style leg braces because he has to play through injury 😂
That's a horrible thing to say
@andrewlouden120 😴
I think if Newcastle don’t win anything nor get Champions league Isak will push for a move. He won’t want to waste another year out of Champions League
But yes it will ridiculously hard 😂
Gearing up for the must-do summer signings. We are winning tonight!
Arsenal can face low block here and that does not fit Martinelli .
8:15 Listen all this garbage!!! Us talking about other teams that have already won it! And we refuse to try and win it by bringing in the right players, and fans out here making excuses
QUESTION FOR TOMMOROW. what are your thoughts on the fact we have let go of a few of our young blood leaving our club 😢 💔
Mine are up there Cazaly...
And looking ahead…
Liverpool are overperforming this season-won’t be the same next year.
Every year is the same.
oh god this non stop negativity , its starting to sound like aftv
Arteta should also be disappointed in himself. There is no way he should have let the club hierachy leave him with only Havertz. No way. even for the sake of numbers, he should have insisted on a straight loan with no obligation to buy. crass irresponsibility on the part of everyone involved with this fiasco
Is arteta going to pay out of his pocket ?
Clubs are only ever as good as their owners... Unfortunately in sport now if you have the best owners you will win everything
If you have American owners you'll never win anything
Aren't Liverpools owners American?
@SwiftGifts-ni6qz Are you going to the Newcastle game tonight and what phase is Arne Slot in?
Charles, get that negativity out of here! "Every poor result Arsenal have...every miss Kai has..." go knock on wood!
Sorry boys we will win 1-0 but get knocked out
The biggest surprise for Arsenal fans will come this summer when the board will sign no one significant! The Kroenkes are happy with this position so the fans better get used to celebrating coming second, third or fourth for many years to come until the virus sells
You got psychic powers ?
They have always failed to address serious holes in one position or another. Second place is a fantastic financial bottom line for the ownership and the interests are conflicted with those of the fans who want trophies. Keep believing though if it suits you but you will be waiting a very very long time.
@@CROSSNSHOOTBuying Watkins or Sesko in Jan isn’t winning us the league this season as us winning relies on Liverpool losing. As for CL we will have enough strength with what we have when people start returning.
These owners showed their true intentions. Same ****, different year.
so City can do signings in January, Liverpool can, Villa can but we cannot go after the player we really need ? dont agree with this January not being the right time, its actually perfect to sign and prepare them for the next season too :) else a new signing in summer, takes another 6 months to get used to the team and the league :)
Liverpool didn't sign anyone in January.
Havertz must be the most important player to ever play for Arsenal. The club let Havertz down?
Osimhen is the best option profile age pricetag and physicality. He's awesome and he's a proven winner and proven goal getter. Please we should go all out for him instead of Isak IMO. The KH29 situation is more like the Haland situation botn of them don't have backups until the end of the season.
If we wanted Osimhen we would have done it already. he isn’t who we want.
I've lost complete faith in arteta now. I don't trust him at all anymore. I think he knew we wernt signing anyone but lied to us.
What did you want him to do? He is not the owner of the club! He can't paint the club or the owners in bad light publicly.
