Easy to suggest that the owners have let Mikel and the club down over this transfer window, but its almost never that simple. A transfer has to work for all parties involved and if Arsenal didn't think a player could add value for the asking price they've every right to say no. The board under Josh Kronke's leadership have invested a lot in the current squad and if not for injuries it would arguably still be enough to win the league. Only right they ask for a return on their investment thus far.
You're spot on this team's absolutely good enough to win the prem and champs league if we'd had managed to keep saka and Jesus fit. But the reality is we didn't that's why it was absolutely critical to add another body in attack even if it's a loan. Now we're gambling on the fitness of havertz martinelli and troussard over the next 20+ odd games. Any of those players go down and we're down to a washed up sterling and a 17 yr old kid making his debut. That's the size of the hole we've dug ourselves.. Surely the owners & board must see & recognize this!

Not to even begin to mention the fact that we've already had saka out for 3 weeks earlier before this his possible season ending injury. I know you didn't forget him coming back and scoring within 15 mins against liverpool. The point I'm trying to make not buying a striker in the summer was a bad idea but not buying a striker after saka and Jesus got injured is unforgivable if you really wanted to mount a meaningful challenge against anyone.. BTW there's absolutely nothing special about this pool team and their manager. They've gotten the rub of the green with injuries and the catastrophic form of citeh . We've finished above this same liverpool team 2 seasons in a row. Key the difference we haven't had any long term injuries to too many key players until this season...
The sense I get from this is that the manager is very disappointed on this window's outcome as well. Someone I am sure will have to pay internally for what went wrong. Will not be surprised to hear things leaking out bit by bit
What matters now is sticking behind the team. A win against Newcastle means we will be playing at Wembley. And whatever this cup means, going to the final and winning it will mean a lot to those players and maybe it will bring some trophies mindset.

He's has been very professional by not voicing his disgust with the lack of investment in attacking players. Yet he and the lads keep fighting on. He has my respect, but the lack of statement, league winning investment over summer, and January is unacceptable. The spotlight must be on the owners.
Truthfully, we do have the squad to compete and win. Every loss and draw this season we’re due to a lack of luck more than a lack of skill. We struggle finishing. The boys should have been rewarded for their effort with a new forward signing but we’ll press on. COYG
Absolute lies. He put zero pressure on the board and owners. He said he "loved" all the players, set up for failure yet again 🙄 But you can't criticise Arteta or Arsenal
We can't possibly know what happens behind close doors and his influence on the owner can only get him to a certain point. A much worse parallel can be said for Amorim at Man United under the greedy tiny hats, the Glazers, and their acolyte Radcliffe....
At the start of the season we only had two 9s both not proper goal scorers. tbf to Havertz he's younger the Watkins and scored more goals. Only problem now is one injury and we no longer have a front man. Yikes. Going to need a lot of look.
I applaud the clubs discipline in not winning a major trophy in over 20 years. It takes special owners to mismanage a club so poorly transfer window after transfer window. 👏👏👏 well done.
Why couldn’t they have secured Rashford or Evens on loan deals? We’re now seriously in need of a striker again and our season has been severely impacted from this lack of planning
It's becoming evident that the management and the Board aren't supporting Arteta in reinforcing the squad. They are literally setting up our Gaffer against the fans, which is not healthy for the team. The manager is pissed off. We as fans are also pissed off.
Everyone thinking Mikel is disappointed in the window needs to think again. He is disappointed but that is often the Mikel way when something he has got tired of talking about constantly gets brought up
Dont think was nothing to do with the owners not giving him money think arteta couldn't get no one in and is waiting for the summer as the targets wernt available until the summer
Arsenal not signing is deliberate in my view. The effort is psychological. Arteta is saying to the team ' I believe in you, in this squad , you must also be belive in yourself that you can and you will do it'. I think that's his thinking, that this Arsenl team is capable of winning every game if they give it all. A bit arrogant and delusional? May or May not be...let's see😊
The team is good but too thin with Saka and Jesus out. The amount of minutes Havertz Trossard and Martinelli will have to play will cause fatigue or worse injury. Should have at least bought a backup forward
What's crazy is that the delusional side of the Arsenal fan base are going to roast Arteta as if he is the one walking around with the black suitcase fill with cash and bank cheques when the reality is Stan Kroenke & Richard Garlick are the ones with the final say on who gets buy and who gets sell.
ARTETA shouldn’t seem angry at all. He had the whole of the summer to sort out is squad. Procrastination on another level. Arsenal have finished second twice, it is compulsory that he should have made an out and out striker his main priority. I have never known a team who claim to be challenging for titles or trophies has not included an out and out striker. It’s a criminal act in football 😂😂😂
@@George-j5c5g This has nothing to do with Arteta but the club owners bear the responsibility to provide adequate resources for him to deliver effectively.
I'm not surprise the board didn't back him up. They give him 850m spent and most of his signing didn't do well and out of FA cup. Champion league I didn't think we have the squad to beat team like Barcelona or Madrid or bayern. For me, no trophies this season. Pls leave.
Except he hasn't spent 850million when you factor in player sales and outgoings...also as soon as they offered him a contract, that is a commitment and backing of the manager and regardless of what they've already given to him, they need to back him and pay for what he needs, otherwise what was the point in giving him the contract? It makes no sense.
So let's try to understand what has gone on (or more accurately, what has NOT gone on) in this transfer window. First up, Arteta stated publicly that Arsenal needed to bring in new signings to bolster the squad. So why did Arsenal do NOTHING - if you ignore the totally derisory and pathetic attempt to sign Ollie Watkins so late in the transfer window. Well look no further than the owners, those wonderful Kroenkes. I believe that Josh K made it clear to MA when they met in January that they would make funds available to buy a striker, but that there would be no more money for a striker in the summer window. So that meant that MA could buy a striker now but then forego landing one of his targets in the summer (probably either Izak or Sesko), or wait until the summer. So MA did nothing. So what was the Ollie Watkins bid all about? Well it was so late on in the window, and for a derisory amount, to ensure that Villa would reject it out of question. It was another of Arsenal's PR exercises to save Arteta's face so that they could say they made an attempt to sign someone but it proved impossible. Another typical woeful Arsenal transfer window!
This is how you speak to owners without getting sacked in the morning lol. But this is the result of prioritizing Arteta over Edu and them. They told arteta to sign a striker in the summer window and to not get merino & calafiori.
You have no idea what happened in summer, and neither do I. But we were consistently liked with strikers, and left back and midfield were areas we needed to upgrade. But it's clear that Arsenal did not do enough. I think we can accept that without blaming any specific individuals because we have no idea
@@MrGooner9000 Ornstein who is the journalist with the most ties in football and ties to the clubs themselves said that Edu and Arteta fell out over that. Arteta was given priority over Edu. I can see why but man that isnt good

Be not decieved, the club always knew that they would not be buying a striker in the January window, they only pretended to to make the fans happy. For two seasons we have always needed a left winger and a striker but they want to make do with what they have. I am really disappointed, same old Arsenal, we should just forget trophies this season and continue being satisfied with second place!
Be grateful for what you have and dont feed into the media narrative. We are top 5 team in the world. Hard to sign players who will majorly improve us. We are scoring goals all season. Be smart and dont just complain about no signings. Use your brain too. Dont be lazy and just repeat the narative theyre feeding you. Hence why we have so many sheeple, read a headline and repeat the same shit. Think for yourselves.
Arsenal fans using the transfer window as an excuse. Liverpool barely brought anyone in but are 6 points, potentially 9 ahead of us. Every time we come short there's a list of excuses, this needs to STOP honestly sick of it.
We still haven’t changed, even in wenger era it was the same thing. We either sign an average player or we don’t sign at all. How are we ever going to win anything ?
Apart from Sesko I don't believe we were ever in for any other player, there was no indication that we were either. It's all lies coming from the top down and the fans accept it..mugs.
The Arsenal owners and the board are the biggest problem we have as a football club, no ambition and too greedy. 20yrs without winning epl and they are more concerned with making a profit than invest in world class players that would help the team cross the line😢

You always mean well for the team. However If the owners are not ready to sign, It is not your fault. We understand that it might not be easy to win any trophy this season due to injuries. We accept any outcome in advance.
After the high of demolishing City on Sunday, the lack of investment in the window is fucking deflating. We knew we needed reinforcements before the Saka and Jesus injuries, and we still weren't proactive. Through his multiple "they were better in both boxes" and "lacking that clinical edge" comments, he was *begging* for KSE to put the money down. I hate that I got my hopes up that we'd actually do something.
i feel him but sadly most club doesn't want to let their man go or might be they hope Arsenal once again put 100million plus on the table in order to make deal done and the target player for Arsenal this January transfer majority of them not look like eager to join us if they do for sure they will force their way out or pressure their agent to make deal possible unfortunately tht not happening..
I wouldn't be surprised if Arteta decides to walk away from the club he ends up with the wooden spoon (or worse) again. I doubt he can take this club into the elite level with the Kroenkes in charge and deep down he must know this....
He should speak for himself, Arteta lied about being "active" in the transfer window... the club was too damned lazy, bringing in a new sporting director and the same old crap about waiting until the summer for any activity, and it's decades of the same lame excuses ... 21 years without the title and in getting beyond upset with the same petty excuses ... enough is enough. ARTETA/KROENKES OUT!!!
if the Kroenke's don't want to give Arteta any new signings because they think top 4 is enough then that is unacceptable. if they wont give him new signings because they don't trust his signings that is also unacceptable. it is understandable given who Arteta has chosen to spend big on, but at the end of the day that is on them. they run the club so it was their decision to let him have influence over signings and to let him continue to manage this team. it's a shame. it seems like Arsenal can never be truly successful under their ownership.
We're betting a lot on our players getting healthy. Saka, White, and Tomiyasu are almost back so it'll be just Jesus out injured, and we've got a much needed 10 day break coming up. Liverpool will drop points, we just need to win our games, if we can get it to within 2 points by the time we get to Anfield we can win.

@@ikeman9784Arsenal were 9 points behind Liverpool before Saka or Jesus got injured.
@@wrightgk99 So what?? Liverpool has dropped points twice since then and we've failed to capitalize. They'll still probably drop more points in the future and we'll still not capitalize cos the squad is too stretched and just not good enough smh
@@ikeman9784 you said ‘If Arsenal had managed to keep Saka and Jesus fit then they were good enough to win the prem and the UCL’. But they were fit and you were still 9 points behind Liverpool before they got injured .’ That’s so what !
@@wrightgk99 Are you some kinda slow or something. Obviously if we had saka and Jesus fit we'd been closer to liverpool.. Like I reiterated already liverpool has dropped points since saka got injured and we've failed to capitalize twice hence why we're still 6 points behind and probably may get to 9 with that pool game at hand..
Spoken Like a True Politician
What matters now is sticking behind the team. A win against Newcastle means we will be playing at Wembley. And whatever this cup means, going to the final and winning it will mean a lot to those players and maybe it will bring some trophies mindset.
Mikel got shafted and so did the fans. Owners are shit.
Have to step up in summer now
We need to make them owners know....at the Emirates!!
I agree 👍 @@tilisho

Tom Canton an excellent journalist of course!
These owners aren’t ambitious but Arteta also has to take blame when given £75m he spent it on a LB & DM when £10m more gets you Gyokeres. How can we win major honours when the club only ever want just top 4 and merch sales
You better find another team to support then.
Arteta has you 2nd in the league and 3rd in CL. So he isn't taking any of your silly blame. Perhaps you'd like to go back to 8th...where they were before
You can't use the excuse of only signing the "right players" after the summer transfer window. The owners aren't that ambitious. It's as simple as that.
If the owners don't back mikel up with proper signings, be ready when he leaves the club....
These guys take Arsenal fans for granted.
The board are frauds! Help him out ffs! Or have we surrendered the league?🤯
Will be tough enough as it is trying to catch Liverpool!
@ 100% Mate, them boys need help out there. Played like heroes on Sunday but we need numbers.
We need to let them know we are not happy! Lets make noise at the Emirates!!
@@tilisho I’m with ya mate.
@@danieldorey8762 this is so frustrating mannn....feels like they've chucked in the towel and accepted Liverpool to run away with it. Which means they are not even hoping or aiming to win the Champions League!
I love Arteta but he’s covering for the board. We never had any intention of making a signing. The Watkins bid was a smoke screen
Maybe, or maybe he wasn't listened to. Such a shame
So what? You just concentrate on supporting the team ok?
Everyone should not buy the team merchandise next season every season they do the same thing 😞
That's not going to happen
You and the 2 people that liked your post will seriously put Arsenal in financial debt for not buying their merchandise next season. Please buy some merchandise.
He doesn’t want to say he’s disappointed at the same time he does but he just had to control what he says
Of course he does..and so would anyone else in his position
Idk why everyone is so mad at Arteta for signing no one. Hes not the only one part of the transfers. and I've said it before, this guy been crying out forever. But look who at top thats been there for years...
He's has been very professional by not voicing his disgust with the lack of investment in attacking players. Yet he and the lads keep fighting on. He has my respect, but the lack of statement, league winning investment over summer, and January is unacceptable. The spotlight must be on the owners.
Arsenal is satisfied with top 4 and 2nd position
If Mikel wants a player, the board should give him the money. We are trying to win the league ffs
Yeah, frustrating
Truthfully, we do have the squad to compete and win. Every loss and draw this season we’re due to a lack of luck more than a lack of skill. We struggle finishing.
The boys should have been rewarded for their effort with a new forward signing but we’ll press on. COYG
When is tomiyasu coming back my god what has happened to him?
Absolute lies.
He put zero pressure on the board and owners. He said he "loved" all the players, set up for failure yet again 🙄
But you can't criticise Arteta or Arsenal
We can't possibly know what happens behind close doors and his influence on the owner can only get him to a certain point. A much worse parallel can be said for Amorim at Man United under the greedy tiny hats, the Glazers, and their acolyte Radcliffe....
Guys Kroenkes decided to pay cash for signings only summer periods. From now on forget about January transfers.
At the start of the season we only had two 9s both not proper goal scorers. tbf to Havertz he's younger the Watkins and scored more goals. Only problem now is one injury and we no longer have a front man. Yikes. Going to need a lot of look.
I dont think it's Arteta's fault. He doesn't do negotiations. We always under bid for our 1st option then end up getting our 4th. 😢
I applaud the clubs discipline in not winning a major trophy in over 20 years. It takes special owners to mismanage a club so poorly transfer window after transfer window. 👏👏👏 well done.
Poor Mikel.. he must have felt all the emotions we've all felt throughout the transfer window
Are you going to the Newcastle game tonight?
shocking transfer window
Everyone thinking Mikel is disappointed in the window needs to think again. He is disappointed but that is often the Mikel way when something he has got tired of talking about constantly gets brought up
What a clown if a manager we have if Havertz get injured who plays 👎🏾 we are so light
@@George-j5c5g
This has nothing to do with Arteta but the club owners bear the responsibility to provide adequate resources for him to deliver effectively.
I'm not surprise the board didn't back him up. They give him 850m spent and most of his signing didn't do well and out of FA cup. Champion league I didn't think we have the squad to beat team like Barcelona or Madrid or bayern. For me, no trophies this season. Pls leave.
U don’t know what you’re saying! Be careful what you wish for.
This needs to be pinned! Spot on mate
You have absolutely no idea what you're waffling about 😅
This is how you speak to owners without getting sacked in the morning lol.
I can see why but man that isnt good
Arsenal fans crying and whining...try supporting a team lower down the league. You've never had it so good. There's a long way to fall from where you are now. Arteta has done an amazing job
Martinelli CF might be worth exploring, Kai can't play 90 minutes every game.
Well said
Arsenal fans using the transfer window as an excuse. Liverpool barely brought anyone in but are 6 points, potentially 9 ahead of us. Every time we come short there's a list of excuses, this needs to STOP honestly sick of it.
If thats how the owners are treating Arteta then expect him to leave the second Barca want hin. Maybe even the end of the season..
We still haven’t changed, even in wenger era it was the same thing. We either sign an average player or we don’t sign at all. How are we ever going to win anything ?
His time is up if he doesnt win the trophy...... simple as that...
Apart from Sesko I don't believe we were ever in for any other player, there was no indication that we were either. It's all lies coming from the top down and the fans accept it..mugs.
Watkins was an interesting one
The Arsenal owners and the board are the biggest problem we have as a football club, no ambition and too greedy. 20yrs without winning epl and they are more concerned with making a profit than invest in world class players that would help the team cross the line😢
Rooting for new castle 🎉
Arsenal has to get a sporting director. The same Thing will happen in summer if they don't start recruiting NOW.

Just imagine not buying anyone this January and Arsenal win a Trophy,Trust Kroenke will suggest selling Saliba,Marghales,Saka and Raya because he will be happy he won with the little squad available
What is the Talksport guy waffling about? We beat Newcastle 4-1 at home last season and have 2 wins in the last 3 games
Two transfer windows no striker 😤
You should know arsenal wasn't getting a striker.

Something wrong between owners and the manager
If other teams were the same position as Arsenal very much close for the title trust me they would have but 2 big strikers and strength the front early win the titles….in stead every time we have to start again from the scratch…next season God knows maybe no chance at all
Arteta can't buy players the owners can !
Get the kronkes out !!!!!
I swear the business suits are content with 2nd and that's why we're stuck where we are
Can anyone help us to understand what the right "profile" Arsenal is looking for? Is it something like Alien from another planet? Arsenal is very close and this management is not realising, 21 years no League
31 years no carabao cup, 0 champions league, 5 years no FA cup. No number 9 is a crime in this team.
I’ve had enough of listening to this bollox and this lot conning us proper fans. The board and him are both to blame there as bad as each other and that’s it full stop. They knew full well we desperately needed an elite level striker and a winger and they have done nothing. It’s so fucking frustrating coz the whole world can see that we need a striker to get us over the line and to win the big prizes but they refuse to do it. There charging the most expensive prices in Europe to go over there but yet don’t buy top players when we need it I’ve had enough. I’m a born & bred Londoner who’s supported the Arsenal for 40 years so I can say it as it is coz I’m a proper gooner. I’ve got ambition and want the best for Arsenal and to win not come 2nd or 3rd like this mob, where’s the winners mentality. I love my club and I’m speaking from the heart!! 😡💯👊
Now we know why Edu left.
Sir in the summer sign for us a good striker we are lucking that quality striker
If other teams were the same position as Arsenal very much close for the title trust me they would have buy 2 big strikers and strength the front easily win the title….but in stead every time we have to start again from the scratch…However, next season God knows maybe no chance at all
Is there Central Forward in the Arsenal Academy to be promoted to the 1st team?
You always mean well for the team. However If the owners are not ready to sign, It is not your fault. We understand that it might not be easy to win any trophy this season due to injuries. We accept any outcome in advance.
Butler Oyedeji is the answer
Looks a talent
After the high of demolishing City on Sunday, the lack of investment in the window is fucking deflating.
We knew we needed reinforcements before the Saka and Jesus injuries, and we still weren't proactive. Through his multiple "they were better in both boxes" and "lacking that clinical edge" comments, he was *begging* for KSE to put the money down. I hate that I got my hopes up that we'd actually do something.
Intentions were not clear made a bid jus to make us think they were clear
Arghhh
i feel him but sadly most club doesn't want to let their man go or might be they hope Arsenal once again put 100million plus on the table in order to make deal done and the target player for Arsenal this January transfer majority of them not look like eager to join us if they do for sure they will force their way out or pressure their agent to make deal possible unfortunately tht not happening..
I wouldn't be surprised if Arteta decides to walk away from the club he ends up with the wooden spoon (or worse) again. I doubt he can take this club into the elite level with the Kroenkes in charge and deep down he must know this....
I told you this owners don't have any passion for football. They are just a business men...
Silly kronke boss very stingy i always blame him
We're betting a lot on our players getting healthy. Saka, White, and Tomiyasu are almost back so it'll be just Jesus out injured, and we've got a much needed 10 day break coming up. Liverpool will drop points, we just need to win our games, if we can get it to within 2 points by the time we get to Anfield we can win.
Kroenke and his money need to move on
35 million on Viera 100 million rice 65 million kai. 35 million Merino. 40 million cali. 38 million timber. 42 million jesus. 35 million Raya. 20 million kiwor. 32 million zinny
