I do use the gypsy witch deck, but I personally go by both imagery and poker card on it. I don’t go by manuals or the words on each card, I just go by my own meanings and instinct. It just works better that way for me. I also use Rider Waite deck I’ve had for years. Just read the imagery as I see it. I have many decks, but some decks are hard to read. Beautiful! But too much going on it the artwork.

This takes me back! I need to repurchase I no longer have the one from childhood. Mlle is abbreviation for “mademoiselle” while Mme is Madame….the French equivalents of Miss/Mrs.
I'm sure that you've heard this before, but this is an "expanded" Lenormand deck. Traditional Petit Lenormand have 36 cards. Gypsy Witch has the 36 cards with additional Oracle cards done in a Kipper style. (Different playing card associations as well) I absolutely adore the Lenormand style of reading and have always been surprised by how accurate they are for me and my clients. I just had to giggle a little because "Mlle" is the French abbreviation for Madamoiselle which is the equivalent of saying Miss Lenormand, because she wasn't married. ;) Madamoiselle Marie Lenormand was an amazing Divination card reader. She did not design or create the original Lenormand style deck, but she did make it famous! (it was actually from a German fortune card game called The Game Of Hope)
Yes to all you said! I always refer to this as my "first tarot" when really I should have just said divinaton deck...I was a child when I started with this deck...and got me on the road to using later tarot & oracle cards! This deck also helped me tremendously in being able to do very large readings using lots of cards because of how this deck was used in readings and all the associations to be done between cards. I just rememebr these cards being uncanningly on target and almost a unique system on its own.
@@maryjanehughes7958 i would recommand Andy's book named: lenormand thirty six cards (an introduction to the petit lenormand). He teach us the original meaning of each card and it's system. Other books can be very overwhelming, so this book is perfect for a beginner :)
I just found this deck. Ordered it !!!! I am hoping this deck will help me be able to read tarot cards. I can't find the yes or no video. I inherited my Mom's tarot decks. All are very old and rare decks

Indeed the star was an ill omen in the past. Seeing a shooting star meant sickness and disease. The word disaster is a portmanteau of disease - star. My feelings is this deck is an original lenormand deck that has not had its negative cards censored out. Adolph Engel is the first one to make this deck that I'm aware of. It's identical except the card suit associations are different. Otherwise it's the oldest identical deck I know of of gypsy witch. I found this deck at an airport gift shop around 1979 I thought I was getting regular playing cards. I was so amazed! When I found these again online it took be back to the 70s. These are the best cards to read with. I bought the deluxe kit that comes with an actual book not little pamphlet. JUST THOUGHT I'D SHARE!
Love that you did share all that! I never knew that! Also yes I got this too way back when as pre teen and didn’t know what I was buying at first either! I think I found in a candy shop! What amazing readings I did with this deck you are right! So much details too! It does bring you back! When I found again on Amazon I bought them again because my old deck was worn to the bone no writing left on it! I didn’t know they made one with a guidebook! I’ll have to check that out for nostalgic reasons! Lol
@@FreeSpiritChannel yes unlike RWS and Marseille and lenormand, this deck is unique (other than Adolph Engel) so I was trying to find books about this odd deck; the only one I could find is part of the us games gypsy witch card KIT. As far as I know, there are no other books or published resources. I'm not familiar with RWS very - much so it would be interesting to find out if the Adolph Engel decks differ card association was a closer match. I use the deck a bit differently; I will pull cards forming a stack until I get the man or woman (whoever the quarent is) and the csrd before it and cards after it is the fortune. Kind of like the joker for yes/no. Thank you for the video and producing content on those cool cards!
I know it’s really inexpensive! I don’t think people realize how good these cards really are. They kind of are under the radar a bit. I used this deck for so many years you can hardly see the writing on it anymore lol you will get very on target readings with it! It’s different than most decks too as to what kind of details you’ll get! The cards are just so amazingly accurate it can be surprising how much! Enjoy the deck! :)
just getting into this now, apparently there is a book so I went and got that too. There is a set on amazon with the book and cards or just the cards and book each separate. I am creating flash cards so I can start memorizing. I have heard more than one person say these are very accurate and no nonsense.

I used to take a picture of my cards when done with reading so I could remember easy what came out and sure enough it was so on target! I used to do the large spread they suggest with tons of cards. These are Gypsy Witch Fortunetelling Cards. Not purely the Game of Hope Lenormand, which in itself was a game that used Mademoiselle Lenormand's name as a marketing tool..... But this is a slightly different system and if you buy Maybe Lenormand Deck you'll find most of these cards in that one as well. I read Lenormand professionally and I agree with you, Tarot readings don't hit the nail on the head the way these cards do. This is in itself a completely different game. I love it. I read all cards in a Grand Tableau reading and it's the best investigative read to get all details. The big spreads in this deck do the same. You should read Lenormand.....you'll be a wonderful guide to people around you. Glad to come across your channel. 🤗🥰😇 PS: Your Yes/No technique is superb 👌

Also actually happy as a child learned with this deck as like you said the spreads are elaborate and feel like perfect training on how to read enormous spreads and many cards at once . Funny you spoke of accuracy I remember having something happen and being like “wow there’s that card in action!” No deck I have used since this has as much detail as you said! It is very different than other decks you see out there....and soooooo accurate!
I've been intrigued by these cards for some time now but I do have some concerns maybe you can guide me. The messages seem to fall on the more negative side would you say? Do these cards predict physical death or can this card represent something else such as the tarot death card? I am curious to try them out but don't want to use them if they can bring upon bad situations. What advice would you give?
Yes some images or messages are a bit jarring to see and these cards are a bit blunt but it’s understandable when read with the other cards. You get used to it though and don’t get jarred but at first it can be. I used this deck so much for years I wore it out. It gave the most accurate readings. So detailed. I remember always doing the big spread they suggest I think it was 10 cards and really just so accurate. I also did yes and no questions and also so accurate. You do get used to the cards and not be jarred by some of the images or messages just like you said we get used to the death card and devil and not read it as literal it’s same for this to not read that way either but in context
Do you find the playing cards correspond to the images? Many people feel they don’t. For me They kind of jump around depending on what they are trying to tell you. I do find that the playing card inserts do somewhat correspond to basic older playing card meanings.
I never use like reading playing cards .. I just use as it is meant by images and meanings on the cards and never even went by the numbers on the cards at all. I even found these meanings don’t even coincide with reading playing cards or even tarot exactly. That’s why I always found hard to explain these cards to my friends. They weren’t like tarot but yet so accurate and amazing readings! Plus do those huge spreads I would get a lot of info. Have to say these were always on target and blunt too! Lol these readings are like in your face and I found it more matter of fact than even tarot cause tarot I tend to be more intuitive and this deck was like someone just telling you like it is lol also what was very addictive to do was use this deck for yes and no answers! :)

Also I dont think you will need flash cards to memorize because if I remember correctly the meanings are already written right on the cards!
