@ufc nexus he felt responsable for her and didn't want people to suffer basically, his attitude through changes a lot over the years. He learns to kill in orden to protect, which is a great character develpment and what makes merlin such a complex character.
yeah merlin became more and more darker as a person, i guess that the fact of living almost all his life without any help of the druids+ ten years hiding his magic in camelot, seeing people he loved died in front of him, wars and bloodshed and being forced to betray in orden to saved thousands+ his remorse, well all those things affect him to be the person he is later; not to mention how angry and sick he was getting for her representacion of magic. it seems that in the end of the series the pendragon family was actually a curse in his life.

season 3 episode 5 why the fuck did merlin save morgana when he knew she would kill arthur and uther OKE THIS DOESNT MAKE ANY sense they should not have made that episode because she would have been dead then
That definitely choked me up, especially when Morgana and Merlin were thinking back to the good times with each other.

Merlin was so OOC last episode.. I guess it was his desperation to save chamelot. It WAS pretty intense. Next episode will be even more. GREAT VID!!
