So this song was a little flute medley of all the songs on the album in order. If you listen again you'll be able to follow along real easy and hear all the changes.
Get ready for some MUSIC THEORY. All of changes is the key of D Major changing to F# Major. Very very different keys. The whole album is always changing between these two keys. No matter the chords or the melody, they all follow the rule. Fun fact this rule means every single note on a piano is played except C. Ironic
Yea, I thought this would be a short video. Every melody in this track is the melody of every previous track in order. There's a video that puts all of the melodies in the same keys as the original song which might help. And the reverse section is actually the entire album in reverse really fast. And then they blow it up! There's 3 King Gizzard songs with that explosion sound (though one of them is only in the music video), not sure why. Next up is Changes! The whole concept is that they can only use 2 keys through the whole album, D Major and F# Minor, and they have to change between those two keys in the songs without it sounding too jarring. That concept is why the album took 7 years to release, because D Major and F# Minor only share a few notes and chords, so you have to think about every single note you play. If you don't notice the key Changes (haha), that just means they did it well.
Oh, one thing I should mention, the first track features lead vocal parts from all 4 lead vocalists (Stu, Joey, Ambrose and Cookie). Maybe do a live version?
I wanna say right before or right after Changes came out, they released a mini documentary called Sleeping Monster. Say what you will about whether it was worth paying to watch, but at the end they had an exclusive music video for Change (the first track). It looks like it was filmed the same way the Astroturf video was (you'll see), but the Change video hasn't been available to watch since the mini doc came and went 😢 which is a shame because even tho the two videos are comparable, I like the song Change just a lil better than Astroturf 😅
Yo this tuesday we're CHANGING Something really cool about Change, the first track is that it does the same of this song, the foreshadowing of the rest of the album is really creative, also them 4 are singing: Stu > Cookie > Amby > Joey I really think you're gonna love that album, it has such a unique sound
I hope you had time to record other things and not just prepare everything just for this haha. As others have said it's a medley of the melodies of all the songs in the album. When you listen the whole album it's nice as a summary.

It was one melody from each track in order
CHANGES TIME LETS GO

I love this wee medley tbf but I am so hyped for Changes. Best of the October 2022 albums by a long way imo
I think you're going to dig the fuck out of Changes. Not metal, but it is great music.
Changes is one of their best

lol! Your reaction to doing this in it's own video was great. 😆
BUTTERFLY 3000
Butterfly is up there with their best Rockda. As always smoke a doobie beforehand.

@@leonardojahn3904 Alright!! I was writing a stoned essay about B3K when I was listening to it last week.

Studio vs Live for track 1, Change PLEASE

Changes is chill but cool
I feel a thrill and I'm consumed with curiosity because it's time for my (current) favorite album.
And. For Change. Listen for Stu, Joey, Ambrose, and cookie. They all get a section. No lucas or cavs lead section tho 😔
I hope you had time to record other things and not just prepare everything just for this haha.

Me on Thursday: get ready for a 4-6 minute video 🤷♂️
