UPDATE: I recently started using the bagger. It is a way way better mower if you're willing to bag. You can mow less frequently and still hold a good pace vs bogging down.

Agreed not a ton of reviews on everyday lawns. Great review. I ended up buying this mower few weeks ago and love it so far. Thanks!

Hey, All still well with it?

@@jt_schell o ya absolutely love it. I have a normal lawn and I mow once a week and haven’t had any issues. Outside of real thick spring grass I only use one battery most cuts.

@@kylesustin1122 nice, thanks for the reply Kyle! And well a "normal" sizes lawn can be subjective depending on your area haha, but it sounds like it'd be good for mine, too. (I have about 1/4 acre... Normal?)

@@jt_schell same here, about 1/4 an acre sized lawn.

Interesting, also good to note the height adjustment has 7 settings, a 3 is SUPER low. 1 is like a half inch, which is insane. The power of the self-propel is practically a jog. Mine you can pull back... its the 80v.

You have to push it like an inch forward if you let go of the self propel lever and stop at the same time. Then it will free wheel. I just let go of the switch like a second before I stop and then it pulls backwards just fine.

They now make it with 80v batteries, which I like since I have other Greenworks tools that use the 80v battery. Plus it will be 1/3rd more powerful than the one in this video, great in high wet grass. The other thing to mention is the batteries charge in about an hour. That's a big plus if you run out of juice or need the battery for another tool. I always bad so the clumping you experience is null and void for me.

I've had the same mower for over a year. It's biggest drawback is it's not pick up the oak leafs like my 21" Honda did, . I've tried lowering the mower and mowing with the Turbo speed and it still leave a lot of leaves behind.

    • @OneAndOnlyChi

That's typical of mulching mowers in general compared to a regular high lift bagger mower

@@OneAndOnlyChi Both the Honda and Greenworks mulch and both are baggers. I think it has something to do with the angle of the Honda blade that gives the Honda more uplift. The Greenworks blade is flatter.

Odd... not being able to pull it backwards isn't a deal breaker, but it is a big deal. Which there were a neutral gear for reversing it. Makes me give this a second thought.

You certainly can pull it backwards. You just have to release the self propel handle a second or two before you pull it back. Not a big deal at all. The guy in this video needs some basic training.
