At the end of all of the therapy sessions, it was revealed that Michael's therapist wasn't a therapist at all, and have actually been documenting his sessions with michael to write a book about it and become famous.
How have I never realized that? Michael is basically the aftermath of most GTA protagonists. You got the big house, the fancy cars, the hot girlfriend, you're on top of the world. Well, now what? What comes next? *nothing*
It's funny how people find different parts of this scene to resonate with them. People have criticized GTA V's story for lacking an overarching theme, moral, or message, but I believe the most important lesson the game teaches you is the one you derive yourself. It's a timeless masterpiece that I've been able to relate to more and more as time has passed.
@@nonnegaard GTA V is a good character piece, but its plot is a mess and almost non existent. Its very strangely structured too, not to mention unfocused. Once Trevor gets involved, it goes off on so many tangents that trying to sum up the plot is literally impossible. I like the game, but none of the writing in the game can even touch Grand Theft Auto 4 or even its expansions. What it did well was have three very different player characters that were very well established and rounded. People didn't criticize it for not having a theme or message - As I don't really think GTA 4 had one either - People criticized it because it tried to be a jack of all trades and ended up mastering none.
@@DeadManSinging1That’s some big fanboyism right there. You couldn’t explain how the plot’s a mess, or how the tangents it goes on are any different from any other “tangents” GTA games usually go on. It’s structured like a GTA game. There’s no reason why most people are able to sum up the story as not a mess, but you can’t, unless you’re just that slow.

Sadly, there are a LOT of therapists out there like this. They just encourage you to let your feeling out, etc, but don’t actually help you get anywhere or help you. And the instant the time is up “oops! We’re done!”
Atleast he listens... I met therapists who wanted to hear only the symptoms of my problems and used to treat them as diseases, instead of as real problems.
@@saratjata Yeah by the act of listening, he's at least allow michael space to lay out his mental baggages and dissect them. He's a slimeball but at least I always thought he was better than my actual therapist

tbh it’s so interesting yet ironic and a bit annoying that Micheal hates his son because he didn’t grew up like him. An opportunist. When every door closed on Michael, he turned to the one door that he was good at. Being a criminal. He robbed stores, killed people, rob banks, smuggle dope. These were the opportunities that he had growing up. But Michael made a deal with the devil and became a millionaire in a nice mansion. He cultivated an environment that didn’t require his son to seek out the same opportunities as he did. Because he wanted to protect his family and get them as far away from the criminal world as possible. And now that his son won’t turn out like him, he views his son as a failure. A good for nothing son that buys weed, sells Michaels expensive yacht, and sits around all day either playing games or playing with himself. At this point, the way Jimmy acts and behaves is a direct result of poor parenting on part of Michael and Amanda.
Honestly, I wish the doctor didn’t cut the therapy session short because this is great cinema. This is some great story and character building but rockstar had to be stereotypical funny therapy where he cuts him short and asks for more money trying to play off the stereotype, and we don’t get the whole freaking lore
