This mission doesn't make sense.
Micheal only loaded 2 C4s yet a whole more exploded.
The FIB must have grenades up there or their vents are highly volatile and will explode in wxtreme heat.
This is one of the few missions where the game actually tries to take itself seriously, and it nails it perfectly.
I don't know why people say GTA V it's not serious at all, when it actually really is a good and deep story
The entire gta v story got overshadowed by the growth of gta online, it basically ruined the appeal for the story mode

When he finds Brad's body, Trevor gets more angry at Michael's betrayal. Michael justifies having more to lose than him, which Trevor agrees. The definition of "If you wanna hide something, put it in the most obvious place"
This is the one point of the game where everything starts to seem darker, this mission definetly proves how dark this game could be.
While what Michael did was messed up and Trevor had every right to be upset at him, I can understand why Michael would resort to such a thing. He had a family to take care of, which wouldn't have lasted if they stayed in Ludendorff, and Trevor, considering his character and his willingness to keep Michael in their current lifestyle, probably wouldn't have been convinced so easily. At the end, do I agree with what Michael did? No, but I at least understand why he ended up following through with it.
Michael cares for Trevor to an extent but at the same time he thinks "how long until he goes all out and kill me, how long until i get behind bars, how long until i walk into the kithchen, i can't find Amanda or the kids, and Trevor Is sitting on the table whit a plate of god knows fucking what"
He wasn’t given much of a choice to be honest
Yeah micheal had no choice he to do it
I hate that people just blindly hate Michael without even knowing the context of the story. Dont get me wrong, i love Trevor but i understand why Michael would do such thing. Michael just made the wrong choices in life and got desperate which lead up to this mess.
Hmm, if I am being honest, even if the family thing was not present, it is not like they were doing anything beneficial for the community to begin with. Where Michael sat down in chairs relaxing by the pool, Trevor was still getting involved in criminal activity.
Plus, for everything Trevor says about Michael, Trevor is known to mistreat Ron and Wade as well to the point where they fear him. Overall, out of all of the three, Michael was the only one to go fully legitimate after the story was over and was the only one who was not involved in criminal activity in the beginning of the story in 2013.
Came to watch 9:19, one of my favorite parts of the game. Always gives me goosebumps, although the story isn't strong, this part is one of the rare times that makes it feel like it is.
The Brad part of the story was always interesting. He was a minor character but played a big role.

@Terra The gun literally clicks but ok
@Terra Why would he pull the trigger if it wasn't loaded? He clearly had some intention to shoot, otherwise he wouldn't have made an attempt to.
A more logical explanation would be that the gun jammed due to the cold conditions of North Yankton.
@Terra No worries, have a nice day.

Amazing work combining the perspectives really hammered the story of the mission home!
13:55 after Trevor asked "who is that" you hear a click before Trevor throws gun at Michael, and does it mean that someone tried to take a shot, but had empty chamber?
I think, seeing it now, that it's Trevor trying to shoot Michael, after he thinks hes been set up (a guy comes running in with weapon drawn), also explains the reaction of "Fuck!" - throws gun
His gun was jammed or he forgot to reload it
*Michael:* Come on, we’ll order pizza.
*Trevor:* Fuck your pizza

Ron kinda foreshadowed this in "Mr. Phillips"
saying "this could be a trap trevor! to get you out in the open"
Huh, thinking about it, Ron's paranoia, while not quite accurate, was more justified than I thought. After all, the Feds, or at least Dave, knew where Trevor was the whole time and kept an eye on him through "Brad" and the letters.

One thing really enjoyed doing in my replays of GTA V was to play costume director.
Essentially, I would make deliberate choices about the characters attire for certain missions, so as to aid the story.
I'll tell you the story of how my choices culminated into the intro of this mission:
It all started in Friends Reunited. It started as you would expect: Michael was wearing his suit. He was living an easy life, and he had a full set of hair. Trevor of course showed up in his street clothes. Though slightly cleaner than usual, as he'd "borrowed" some of Floyds wear, he still looked and carried himself as a man who had been left behind.
Then came Did Somebody Say Yoga. Michael ignored his problems for a long time, opting to still wear suits based on pretence, and focus on his work. But when Caida Libre came to pass, a lot of that pretense fell away. In my playthrough, the exile lasted at least a month, and in that time Michael had a brush with madness in the desert heat. It was during this time that he first got entangled with Epsilon, and hiked up a mountain in a trance just to do yoga. Living with Trevor took it's toll on him. Sometime during his stay he decided to shave his head. There were certainly practical reasons for this, but in many ways, it was Michaels self-imposed pennance for letting it get this bad.
Trevor also decided to shave his head, either because Mrs. Madrazo wanted him to, or to upstage Michael somehow. Maybe both. Take your pick.
After coming back to LS, and with his family still gone, Michael mostly wallowed in house alone wearing wife-beaters and shorts in his off time. The Michael who left LS with Trevor, never came quite back. Meanwhile, Trevor had "requisitioned" the downtown strip club. He was making friends, like Mr. and Mrs. Thornhill. LS was his new playground now. His home. He was sucsess, and he dressed like a "legitimate buisnessman".
And that is where this mission began...
With Michael as the man left behind, wearing street clothes, and Trevor as the appearently sucsessful man, wearing a grey suit that looked a lot like the one Michael used to wear...
Over the course of the story, their roles had become reversed, and Trevor had assimilated himself into LS, and back into Michaels life. Whereas Micheals entire life in the same city had erroded away, all contributing to a more potent sense of dread when Trevor finally put two-and-two together...
this mission actually has that serious gta iv vibe to it

@Lucas Gawor man tf is is your problem?
10 years later and this is still one of the best missions in the game. I definitely love the dialogue. Sad that Trevor finds out that Brad is dead and Michael lied about it and how Dave impersonated Brad.
19:56 that phone call with Jimmy does show how bad Trevor can get, so far as trying to distance him from his father because of his emotional hurt, though granted his decade-long hope of freeing Brad from prison was so miserably crushed, and his having mourned for Michael, only to have found him still living and having lied through to be leading this physically comfortable life. I almost decided that Trevor was a horrible person, but I'm not fully sure with the emotional substance behind all that.
I love Trevor as much as the next guy... But his charisma sometimes makes people forget that he is a monster, he allways ruin other peoples lifes to get what he wants and his whole loyalty things is kind of bullshit too (he's only loyal If you have the balls to stand up to him, If you don't then you're gonna be his bitch) anyway that goes yo show how good rockstar is when It comes to write characters
