    Hi,
Great video full of salmon fishing.
I do a lot of small mouth bass fishing on Lake St. Clair on the south east side of the state.
I am totally new to salmon fishing.
Can I ask you a few questions?
For this video are you fishing out in Lake Michigan or in the channel between Lake Michigan and the harbor or right in whatever small lake that is between the channel and the river that flows into it?
We just have a small boat and from your video I think we can feel safe in water conditions similar to what you were fishing in.
Thanks again and any information and advice will be greatly appreciated.

I’ve lost a ton. Pretty sure you and I both need a faster action rod for better hook sets. Also heavier jigs are harder to get good hook sets with. I think the ideal jig weight is around 3/4oz. I lose fish with 2oz constantly….even with single hooks. The gamy round bend trebles are about the best for hooking/landing them. I like #4’s. Good luck.
