Nice fish buddy, I’ve been deer hunting and getting fire wood for the winter here in the UP, got an eight point, haven’t had time to fish but at least I can watch you catch em👍
SBS outdoors you should do a follow-up on winter I just landed a 15 lb Butterball today before work sadly threw it back didn't have the time to clean it 💯🎣🎣🎣
My wife is a photographer and shoots out there. I’m inland fishing my brains out she’s like “you should pier fish!” And Im like uhhhh… no idea where to start… she says “UA-cam” and this is my first vid thanks so much had no idea one could catch lakers off the pier that’s incredible!
Piers can be an awesome place to fish! You can catch every species of Great Lakes fish off them given the time of year. We have a whole playlist of pier fishing if interested, should send ya in the right direction. Thanks for watching!
I’m planning to go pier fish this weekend to the west side and I have some questions. My rod is a spinning 6.5 ft medium action. It’s early December, what species can I target now? Should I use spawn sacs and shrimp or one or the other? I have vertical spoons too because I saw those work for you guys later in the season.
Awesome video, I've need wanting to jig for Lakers in the Muskegon channel and pier heads. What rod do you prefer for for this type of fishing? I plan on hitting up bass pro on my way home from work to get a new jigging setup.
Whats you favorite rod for fishing steelhead off pier? Length and action? I love your videos. I grew up in South Haven. Used to fish the piers. You all have it dialed in. Great skills, that’s why your videos are so good!!! Keep up the great fishing!!!
Its crazy that you guys have all these bycatches on your lakes. Im mainly lake ontario and youre either chucking glow spoons at 3 am or firetiger j13s at 7am and only catching salmon (or nothing). Some guys deadstick spawn sacs but the gobies demolish them and its not worth it.
Already knows it’s gonna be a great video boys 🤙🏼😎 stay active and god bless 🙏🏼
Yessir Preciate it man! 🤙🏻
@@sbsoutdooraction3055 no problem. I’m bouta head out to the pier this weekend for some butter balls 🎣

Steelhead whitefish and lakers. Stick with spoons and fish eggs
Keren kawan strike ikan besar
Seperti nya cukup sulit untuk menaikkan ikan keatas...
Tetap berhati-hati kawan

Just about any rod will work as long as it’s got enough backbone to get em off bottom. I run a 10-20lb rated riversider rod
What pier are you on...
Quality video!🤙
Preciate that!
St Joseph Michigan were i live great fishing. I got pictures.
Is there a specific water temp for the lakers to be in on the piers?
They spawn 45-55 I believe
