- Changing (Mounting of) the Guard at Windsor Castle
Windsor
England
Tuesday the 22nd of May 2018
According to the Information posted on... www.householddivision.org.uk/c.... this video features '1st Battalion Irish Guards' on the March to the Castle. assuming '2nd Battalion The Rifles' on the return to Barracks; the 'Band & Bugles of The Rifles' providing the musical support.
I bet the police officer walking in front is thinking. Please don't let it be the light infantry, I'll have to put my running shoes on to keep up with those badboys!! Lol
At 140 beats per minute🥵🇨🇦
BLOODY BRILLIANT! How uplifting are those bloody bugles! MARVELOUS! Love it to bits!
From the leisurely stroll with the Guardsmen in to the "let's get the hell out of here" :) Just kidding, always good to see riflemen.
Bravo to the guy who walked backwards to and back from the castle !!
Hear Hear !!!!!
and he does in step
So 😍love the Band of Bugles & Rifles, stepping out💖👍💖
They were very cool. Hope to see them back in the near future. You have to be there. The sound tears the air apart when the buglers start playing :)
Love watching the light infantry.
Lightbobs and woodentops oh! the Rancour you all noticed the race to be away lol ex RGJ here thanks for the vid, only thing that spoilt it for me was the cops with assault rifles, sign of the time i guess, in my day they just had a wooden baton or truncheon, love to all at these times.
Brilliant video of the rifles again and nice to hear them play a piece of music I haven't heard in ages, before mechanised infantry they played a piece called The Durhams ☺

i love it so much !
thank you.
Lovely to see.
*uma Grande performance, parabéns* 👏👏👏👏
Love The Rifles playing St Patricks Day
Great video as usual:)
Given to understans that in May 1940 the 60th (Artists) Rifles were the only recognisable Infantry Unit remaining in England. They were sent to Dunkirk as the Rearguard, many taken Prisioner having held the line to enable 300,000 + to be ferried back by the "Little Ships" & the Royal Navy.
I had a family member evacuated from the beach at Dunkirk, One of the last to get away, He served in Africa and Italy before wars end,, 60 Rifles did a fine job at Great cost, Well done!!
60th Rifles actual formal title was The King’s Royal Rifle Corps. They as part of 30 Brigade along with The Queen Victoria’s Rifles and The Rifle Brigade were at the defence of Calais at the time of the Dunkirk evacuations. Other units deployed at Calais were The Royal Tank Regiment, Royal Engineers and The Royal Artillery. The units held our for 3 days against a German Division thereby diverting German troops that could have been advancing on Dunkirk. For fuller information Google Defence of Calais 1940.
Wish you were still filming Pete, no one else does it as well as you!
You know when your in shit when li starts blasting the bugles respect to every regiment
I served with an Infantry reserve Btn as Att personnel, and there is nothing like an LI Band at full throttle.
Well firstly I am glad you managed to survive the Wedding, and I hope you enjoyed every minute of it. I am not happy they let a guy walk in front of the band videoing them.... while you had to dodge in and out the crowds . lol I am glad to see our little friend is ok, but he struggle with the pace down the hill! Thank for you time... top class as usual.
Norman Kitching the guy walking in front recording was a member of the band and bugles
I guessed that.... it was an in joke! anyway he would have been hauled away by the cops. lol
Well I would certainly have been hauled away. Hard enough to jog across the top of Sheet Street sometimes, let alone run up and down in front of the troops ;)
Marches are
Hollyrood
St patricks day
Jellalaband
Mechanized infantry great video:)
Jack Allanson Jellalaband is the 3rd march!
Sorry I am new to the March thing I am aka Jack Allanson same person but thanks
that last mach is Mechanized Infantry. I'm not sure what it is but it's not Mech. Inf.
You missed out the RAF Regiment (first) and RCAF March past (second)
Do the Light infantry wear George Boots as Drill Boots?
👏👏👏😍
Looks like they're carrying the new SA80s?
at least the Irish Guards were.
The rifles didn't have the new one
A3 (atm) only the irish guards and the grenadier guards have them..
What music is this
Please can someone tell me if that band is a full time Rifles Band. Or are they part timers? Seems to be a lot of split notes from the bugles, unlike years ago. Is that the Salamanca Band?
Ricky Donut RM31 the band can be a mix of full time and reservists but all are trained soldiers or medics
@@steveellis9065 Not doubting their ability in that area Steve, but the band is nowhere near as good as it used to be. The light brigade bands used to be so good.
I guess its like most Corps of Drums and Bugles, more time on ops less on practice
And for the reservists, they have their own civilian jobs so don’t train with the band or regiment as often
Are u going on Thursday 31 of may?
Unlikely to be there again - on a midweek work day - in May.
Oh just wanted to know because im going then
Then you should have a clean run of the place. Was quite quiet out today. I was pleasantly surprised when I popped out on Castle Hill. Hope the weather holds up !
lol whats with the guy in the front?
He is one of the Buglers. Recording the event for posterity in case nobody else did them the favour, or so I imagine. But he was definitely a Bugler.
lol that makes sence, because if he was a public guy, than the police should just fuck right off ;)
He is a bugler 😊
Hi i am also bad boy i have UA-cam accounts so hi
Hiya :)
Britain must have the scruffiest coppers in the world
