Thanks for the videos. Life got in the way and I didn't get to it until May. I was so relieved to see I have an ls6 block. I needed it after the battle I had removing the intake and valve covers. More power to you man. I get so frustrated with the room back there.
@@TWAMotorsports good video, having some PCV issues with my LS1 Swap - doing research, was considering this or a catch can (Not both) unless recommended. I have Holley LS valve covers which do not have the PCV port - so you think a catch can is a better bet than cutting like you did ? you still think it can look clean wonder how the lines would go with just a catch can
That engine bay is looking pretty cool with all that clean red and the engine that looks brand new you are doing a very good job and I have to tell you that it is my favorite of all of your projects because of the way you do every step so precisely. 👍 GOOD JOB
Another great video man, I always look forward to watching your videos. Your Camaro and Firebird videos are inspirational to say the least. I own a 2000 Z28 which is mainly stock other than an exhaust and intake and a few cosmetic mods. All your videos make me want to do so much to it but just don’t have the time and money right now :/ but the knowledge you bring will definitely help when I can start on my car! Keep doing what you’re doing!
Great video man stumbled upon your channel and started watching all your trans am videos, that is my dream car had a v6 when i was in high school, just finished up college and plan to get me a ws6 pretty soon keep up the good work 👍🏾

Glad you did this conversion. You helped convince me I probably don't need to do it 😂. But you gotta work on the mic situation. I've noticed in a lot of videos, audio just isn't cutting it.
Hey. I love your videos. I may have missed it in your links, but where can I buy a quality harness and knock sensor combo? I hate spending the money, but I will hate myself if I need to replace a year or two later and I had the opportunity when I changed the valley cover. By the way, I may be mistaken, but I believe I have the ls6 block in 01 ws6. No cutting necessary!
Should be in video description but if not I only buy delco stuff to replace. As for the car having ls6 block. Some did. Some didn't. Mine is an 02 and didn't
@@TWAMotorsports Thanks. These projects always end up being twice the cost that you planned. My OCD keeps me from putting back old parts that aren't broken. I just want it to be a long time before I reopen the valley again. lol
@@TWAMotorsports My wallet hates me. lol. The valley cover has the pcv valve as you state. I've heard too much conflicting advice on weather to run an external one as well. I'll be running FI. Is it necessary in your opinion?
What is it used for i recently had my motor rebuilt it’s a LS2 6.0 in a trailblazer ss and the machine shop has that valley cover on there should i cover that tube
Is there a specific resource you reference for your torque specs? You always know the specs for every nut and bolt. I'd love to know where you get them
Nice video man. I also got that set up from Improved Racing. I also bought their crank scrapper and racing oil baffles. Did you get the sac city dumbbell for the block? Have you looked into Evan's waterless coolant for your car? I'm doing the switch for mine. I also got the Samco silicon hoses for the radiator is well. I can't wait to see it all back together.
So I’m a little late to the party but since it’s been some time how’s the LS6 PCV working out? I did this when I did my cam in 06. It seems it works pretty well but I’m still seeing oil at the throttle body so not considering adding a catch can. Car looks fantastic, btw!
@@TWAMotorsports I saw the next video and figured as much. 140k and going strong here on the TA. Thought about a motor refresh and upgrade but it’s cruising time. My last actually ment to say I AM considering a catchcan.
time it took to cover the eng you could of pulled it out cut clean touch up the red paint on the back and install know that you know the easy why to loosen the mounts
Is that a LS6 Block or LS1 Block?... I know you said it was an older style but if my recollection is correct late model Gen 4s received LS6 Blocks. Is that piece of aluminum on the original LS1s do you know? Just curious.

Did this to mine about 3 years ago... so much nicer and cleaner :)
Definitely worth it
Is that part that gets cut is it solid all the way down or if you go cut more than a inch will it damage block?

The 01 and 02 Fbodies came with the LS6 Block. I was lucky enought to not grind anything down. good job though bro

Is there a number on the block that would signify weather it is a ls1 or ls6 block? That way I would know in advance before taking my intake off

Why not just use a head porting bit and avoid all that abrasive dust?
Don't have one I guess
