This one's not for me for the exterior appearance alone, as I mentioned in the livechat, it reminds me of that "bigger house" at the end of that Steve Martin movie "The Jerk". The property however is to die for at my perspective, large, private and partially wooded. Thanks for the tour Greg, tell Katie I say Hi and I missed her appearance in this one. Stayin tuned! 👍🤠 Notes: 7:18 I'd never call this a foyer, even you say "what a great foyer this would be". A main entrance should not have stairs immediately in your face imo. 9:59 Is a nice dining fixture but over the counter it looks strange, fill it with fruit or perhaps a plant. 10:08 I like the functional commercial type faucet, much easier for rinsing. 12:08 "Hey everbody look! We used to have a wall here but we tore it out!" 14:03 Once again, a misapplied fixture I belive, I've a feeling it may have originally come from that tiny little "foyer" that now has what appears to be an oversized chandelier. 7:18 14:34 A whole house ventilating fan, the louvers open when in use, closed when not in use to stop drafts. 21:25 I do like the greenhouse, one doesn't have to go outdoors to get there. 25:23 A newer heating oil tank, evidentally governments say no to the old style. Evidentally governments say no to alotta things, I guess it's ok for the good but it sure's gettin expensive, evidentally. 26:00 I belive the stackable washer and dryer upstairs was added later. I could be wrong. 27:43 I'd like to have a dollar for every place I've seen that tile pattern. 28:33 This is absolutely the customer and receptionist's end of some sort of business imo, the room before may have been the office for the professional that operated the business. 29:33 No gas or 240 volt connection for a stove, maybe a large photocopier. 29:35 Maybe.
Hey John. Sorry for not replying right away. I believe you said it reminded you of a house from The jerk in the premiere too. You are right though! Thanks for pointing out all these things for everyone to check out! I appreciate you being there as always.
Awesome explore as always! Nice house. My favorites were the front entrance, the fireplaces and the kitchen. The vents in the ceiling is actually a fan. I have one in my hallway. There should’ve been a timer somewhere on the wall. When you turn the timer on, the vents open up and the fan comes on. The vents automatically close once it turns off.
Hey Jamie, thanks brother.. It was a pretty cool place. I definitely liked the fireplaces and the kitchen because of the fireplaces! I wonder if i missed the timer somewhere.. Thanks again man!
This house has an interesting layout. Defintely and can see a lot of DIY projects have been done. Love the blue on the exterior of the front door. Just imagine this house could have had thick shag carpet in its early years. Love the wood stove in the basement. It was wild that some of the old orange tile from the 70's was still there. Loved the explore, Greg. Keep Orange Crushing It.
Tommy it most definitely was interesting! The hackwork was likely DIY maybe?? LOL I wonder if this place had shag, something tells me no, but I guess you never know. That stove was great.... Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for stopping in the premiere tonight!! You rule tommy!
Great video. I love the entire house. But, I can honestly say that I would not want to live in Canada. It seems that everyone’s home is in jeopardy of some future plan. And, at any minute someone’s house can be slated for demolition. It’s a very scary prospect. I feel very sorry for those homeowners. No amount of money can replace a home and memories. And, I am positive that they all lost money.
Hey Karen!! It's funny you say that. Most homes aren't in jeopardy, but I guess in the abandoned world we do seem to point out many that are lol. Usually when these places get bought out they do get fair market value. But probably that's it. It's a shame either way. Thank you for watching and commenting is always sorry I was slow to reply
20:00, Hon, that is a porch. A deck will be at the back of the house. Nice place. It's a shame it sits empty. I liked the kitchen cabinets myself. Loved the space around the kitchen.
Lol. You know I actually know the difference and I always misspeak when I'm out front. Have no idea why lol. But thank you for watching and commenting, I hope you will watch some more of my stuff
I love 70s houses and this one sure didn't disappoint! The interior brickwork was abundant and beautiful. Lots to love about this one. Thanks for posting and sharing. I always enjoy watching! 👍
hey grouchyfish, thanks so much for saying that. I like these houses as well, and I enjoyed doing this one,, that interior brickwork was some of the coolest I've seen.. I'm glad you really enjoyed this one, always appreciate you!
Uncapped!! Great tour! I always look forward to my Thursday night Uncapped Films chat and tours😊 I really like this home, size/layout is very deceiving from the outside. It really had some great features. As always, great chat with great contenders! Ohhh.. in the live chat, I'd asked what it was you'd said you liked during the video tour .. it was "Hack work"😂 I didn't hear what you'd said and thought, "He likes that crappy wall job?!"🤣🤣 Got it now! Thanks again for the great tour and awesome time. Please tell Katie hello!! You rock! 🤘🦅
HEY SMIPA!! Yes the hackwork!! ok that makes sense now, yeah I LOVE pointing that out hahaha. I'm glad this is your thursday thing, we love you being part of it! It's a cool place for sure, it's a shame its going.. The brickwork was amazing.. Thank you as always!!
That was a fun exploration. There were lots of features that my parent's 70's townhouse had. I'm wondering if the basement was for the grandparents to live in. I remember sponge painting, lol. Sad this house is going to be demo-ed but seeing all that land, I get it.
Hey Kathy, thank you for watching this one and commenting! i'm glad you enjoyed it! which features did it share with your parents place?? You might be right about the basement setup.. Thank you for watching this one, I appreciate it!
Such a lovely home with lots of land they will probably get quite a few new homes on that land great find as usual honey looking forward to your next one have a fantastic evening and great weekend 😘
Hey Glenys, its a great place right?? Sadly no homes will replace this, something completely different and unexpected.. Thank you so much for always being there, have a great weekend too!
I wonder if they put a smaller washer/dryer combo upstairs when they got older and needed more assistance? We have an aluminum cover like that over the attic fan. When we turn it on the slats open and it pulls in air as an alternative to running the air conditioner. Our house isn’t quite as old, but it looks exactly the same! Great video. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Michelle! That is a good point you raised, I bet that is exactly why that combo unit is upstairs! Thats very cool, so I guess the fan is quite effective then when you use it? How old is your place?? Thank you very much for watching and commenting, sorry I took a few days to reply!!
@@UncappedFilms we did that same washer/dryer thing for my mother in law after she’d taken a couple of falls. Not down the stairs, thankfully, but no one wanted to chance it! We converted a part of a large closet into a laundry cubby. That’s what it reminded me of right away. Our house was built in 1992. My husband had one growing up and I think that house was built around 1975ish. I grew up in Wisconsin and I’d never seen one before. We’re in Missouri so how well it works kind of depends on the humidity. We run it a lot in early morning or after the sun goes down and it works fantastic! It cools the house down really well and it smells fresh after everything’s been closed up for a while. It does make it a little more dusty inside but it’s worth an extra wipe down. Thanks for always responding, don’t worry about how long it takes! I’ve watched your explores for a while but I didn’t realize people commenting helped boost the channel until recently! I’m old, lol! Really enjoy the content and you and Katie are a lot of fun to watch!
