JUICED UP ON DOC COMBOS - n0ne Dr. Mario Highlights - Super Smash Bros. Melee

So I was thinking about song lyrics the other day, and there's this one song that has the lyrics "Gravity keeps us on the ground". And at first, I giggled at the thought of those lyrics because like... of course gravity is what keeps us on the ground, that's sort of what it does. Gravity is just a force of nature.
But then I was thinking (within the context of the rest of the song) that maybe the meaning here is that it's life's natural inclination to keep people down, or prevent people from achieving their ambitions. If you use gravity as a metaphor for life in general, and take a non-literal understanding of "keeps us on the ground", then I think it could work.
But then I was thinking that, I think art in general is just subjective. I'm not sure what the original songwriter had in mind when they wrote those lyrics - maybe they meant something deeper, or maybe they just honestly meant that gravity literally acts to keep people grounded. I don't know, and I'll never know - but I think that's part of the beauty to be honest.
Maybe it's one of those things where the original song writer didn't think much of it, but for someone out there it was the most profound thing they've heard. Saying that makes me think of the (in)famous scene from the Street Fighter movie, where Chun-Li was asking Bison how he could forget that he killed her father, to which he replies:
"For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday."
