Norfolk Southern Local and Amtrak at Broken Railroad Crossing

After a driver slammed through the gates at this crossing, Amtrak trains were forced to stop and flag the crossing due to the crossing protection being damaged. We would not only observe the gates being smashed as well as the following Amtrak moves stopping and flagging the crossings.

Right place at the right time, wow! A perfect example of distracted driving, thank goodness nobody was injured. Great footage of showing Amtrak's operation to protect the crossing during the damaged gate.

When the crossing is still damaged then yes

Until the crossing maintainers fix the issue or give the ok to the dispatcher to allow trains to pass through the crossing without having to stop.
