I'll be getting one of these soon. If the plugs don't make any trouble for me, I won't make any for them. Crazy amount of work just to get to the plugs
Lifting the tank is what you expect for a motorcycle but the thing about naked bikes is that they have to hide the wires somewhere because you don't want them to get snagged on anything to easy, as well as it gives the bike a more clean look, and we'll under the tank is a good place, on the bright side they only need replacing every 16k miles 25.6k kilometers
Whale isle beef hooked What a bloody nightmare. Thanks so much for this guide! Bike started slower the last couple of mornings and I thought I’d check the plugs... how hard can it be? FML.
What causes Spark Plugs to need changed? I gave up at 7:06 because the idea of putting all this back together makes me think of simply working overtime at my job for one week just to pay a mechanic to do this.
I'm not sure what year this is but I did not have to remove the tank. I have a 2013 and just moved it back. Also, I use a rubber hose to hold the spark plug when installing it. Lastly, If you don't have a spark plug socket you can use a regular socket and a long handled magnet to pull the plug out.
I think I just decided to keep my 08 Honda Nighthawk 250cc. I can change both plugs in less than 2 minutes. Alas, that is a beautiful bike. Do they make 100,000 mile plugs? Maybe 50,000?
omg, ! a total stipdown just to put a pair of plugs in, i just bought an x model with only 2k onthe clock so barring plug faults i don't think i'll ever be changing the plugs, mind you if i ever get to the mileage where the valves need checking, 16k ibelieve, i'll put a set of plugs in then.
Since you're at it, you might as well try the valves adjusment, you've done half of the undressing anyway... I love my 2010 Yamaha 660cc single cylinder MT03, I can acces my sparkplug without removing a single bolt, same bulletproof engine as the Tenere :)
I thought that the plugs would be there looking at you, but no... --honda-- managed to make it as difficult as possible, it's the secret revenge of the japanese; no,i won't be a victim; and thanks for the video. (A bigger nightmare still, is to measure and adjust the valves clearances!)😡 avoid
What a horrible design, after seeing this video i will check what my next upgrade will be, i currently have CBR500 which is pretty similar to this, i am sad after seeing this video.
Thank god I've got a Bonnie. 2 mins ............... Mr Honda Why do you make things so awkward. Im not a mechanic but I do know what to check if an engine doesn't fire up. could you do that first thing in the morning..........before work ...... check Battery , fuel , PLUGS😒😒 Ok that said.. Honda must be confident that will not happen too often. How much to charge plugs at a Garage ????
Might be... Spark plug change is not even included in owner's manual which is basic maintenance, especially on "off road" adventure bike. I have this bike and I know I will do sparks myself but I am not looking forward to it. Only thing absolving whole procedure is that both plugs are in same side so both can be accessed at the same time. Whole thing looks intimidating because there's so much connectors to unplug and so many screws to unscrew, otherwise it's not so bad. Had DL650 and spark plug behind radiator is scary stuff to replace as you do it in the dark...
Bro!, Some cordless tools would've saved your hands and time. Good job on this tutorial but sheesh that was painful to watch you turn all those by hand.

It is ridiculous

Wow talk about a nightmare

What a nightmare, ...just to change the plugs. Thank you Zsinor!!
You're Welcome! 😉
Bravissimo anche se non è parlato ma è chiarissimo il procedimento. Complimenti.
Nice. Perfect tutorial for peoples with any experiency's levels. TKS from BR.
1. Disassemble bike.
2. Change plugs.
3. Rebuild bike.
Simple!😂😂😂
Nice camera work and good job.
I'm sure these bikes are very reliable and don't have things fail that often. But when they do fail.....good luck......(especially in the field)
I'd do maintenance before bigger trips, so I don't have to do something like change my spark plugs in the field..
Vielen Dank für das informative Video. Gut gemacht ! 👍👍

They burn out. You only need to check them every 16k miles
lol if you made it that far you could do the rest yourself it’s simple
Thank you very much. A very good and useful video.

you don't really have to hold the spark plug whatsoever in my opinion, just drop it in the hole and thread it in carefully
@@lightningmcqueengaming69well if you drop it in I hope you have tiny fingers...
@Adrian-qc3ok well your opinion is utterly erm.. challenged. Don't ever "drop" a spark plug in....
This looks pretty full on but good tutorial
ya, after seeing this i will bring to the honda shop and let them do it!
Haha! 😂
be a man and do it yourself
i appreciated it. this too difficult for me brother.😂

It was also easy on my 2011 Honda CBF 125. Yeah, maybe the Iridium plugs... at least 50k kms.
Looks like I got a talent for buying vehicles with bad accessible spark plugs. First a Subaru and now this
Wasn't actually that bad. Did it a bit different but totally doable. With a power tool its done in like half an hour

Remember when changing a plug too 2 minutes ? Now they are labor intensive to get to.
My bike won't almost start, because I have to change my spark plugs... This video gave me depression mix with hope...
Muito obrigado pelo vídeo👏👏👏
Is the cb500x the same spot it’s a differnt bike just hit 2200 miles and all of sudden my spark plug shits the bed
Excellent
We don’t want the spark plugs to accessible now do we
ok tha'ts where I'll ask a proper shop do to it for me xD

Valvr adjustment is a LOT of work when it needs doing.
Interessante mesma vela da Honda 160cc Titan. CPR8EA9.
whi you dont put the iridium.spark plug ?
Hi,
Do you need fully empty the tank when unplug those fuel tubes?
Thanks
Nope, you can take the tank off with it full.
liked, and subbed, thank you sir! :)
Why did you life the bike on stand ?
bugger that, ill just stick it in the shop and get everything done at 30. though..
I guess that normal now to take 5 hours to change spark plugs. Don’t think I wil attempt this myself.
What a palava!
I think, if the camera was panned round we'd find that it was Michael Myers doing the work
think its bets to change the air filter at same time if you going to take the tank off.

holy fucking addssss dude

That’s really service friendly action.. 🤦♂️
You got to be shitting me!!

I thought my Cb 300 was difficult
design flaw honda....or is this part of the plan....to squeeze more money from honda owners...
