Basically the same way certain animals get out of control when their predators are removed. Of course… They should’ve done this in 2021…

They should have never attached this movie to one actor. Apparently Ali approached Marvel and said he would like to play Blade. There was no prior plan for this movie, but felt if they had a multiple Oscar winner wanting to be in the MCU, they should conjure up a blade movie for him. The last time Marvel hired someone just because they won an Oscar, it was Brie Larson to play Captain Marvel and that choice seems like a bad casting now. The Blade movie is still not written and Ali will be far too old to appear in multiple Blade movies due to the delays. I don't see how introducing vampires into the MCU is an issue at all. We've gotten "all of the gods" in Love and Thunder, magic, wizards, androids, aliens, werewolves, dragons, secret goverments and so much more. At this point, it'd be more weird if vampires didn't exist lol. Also, that's what pretty much EVERY vampire story is about- normal people discovering that vampires exist and not believing it- and usually there's some rogue vampire, or group of rogue ones, that are tired of living in the shadows and are ready to "come out", to take over the world or whatever. For me, explaining where the mutants have been, if they're supposed to already exist in the MCU as we know it, is a much harder sell than vampires
I think they are really struggling to figure out how to make this movie work. At the end of 2023, it was reported that Blade was going to have a ”shockingly” low budget of under $100M. But it isn’t shocking at all when you remember that the 1998 Blade made $131M at the global box office. Blade 2 did only a little bit better at $155M, and Blade: Trinity fell back down to $131M. 20 years after Blade: Trinity, I don’t think anyone has a clue how well or how badly a new Blade movie will do. So they’re trying to find a way to make it into a big MCU ”event movie’ while keeping the budget relatively small, and that’s a difficult (maybe impossible?) nut to crack.
When Ryan Coogler vampire movie comes out and if it’s good then man it’s over for blade because you had the director right there in your camp and you chose to ignore him

Doctor Strange, the X-Men the Multiverse, the Eternals werewolf by night marvel has layers. It can get convoluted, but a good movie is still a good movie just calm down and approach it the way it’s meant to be approached.😮
I don't think it's all that hard. They've already introduced a whole society of monster hunters in Werewolf by Night and even before then we learned in Doctor Strange that sorcerers exist and they deal with supernatural threats. Introducing vampires into a world that already has all these otherworldly entities that the generation population isn't even aware of shouldn't be this challenging.
They could have something like the Masquerade from Vampire: The Masquerade where they have super strict rules to hide their existence. And they could have treaties with other mystical powers to prevent an all out war.
In defence of the '5 years', there was always gonna be a gap between that announcement and the movie. It wasn't like they announced him and then planned to immediately go into production
Marvel needs to get its act together. If "Black Panther" could make a billion dollars, why can't "Blade"? This should be a priority for them, yet it isn't. Instead, they prioritize properties like the X-Men and Fantastic Four. While those are exciting, let's not forget that "Blade" was a trailblazer. Disrespecting that legacy is a serious oversight. Vampires, much like witches in the Marvel Universe, can easily be woven into the narrative. Just as Wanda Maximoff and Agatha Harkness exist in their covens, it's entirely plausible to have a hidden society of vampires. With characters like Doctor Strange performing magic and Moon Knight battling werewolves, the inclusion of vampires is hardly a stretch. It's particularly frustrating that this delay and backtracking are happening with a film centered around a Black hero. There seems to be an underlying racial bias here, as it's hard to imagine a white actor being put on hold for over five years with constant project delays. This pattern of sidelining Black actors is evident and troubling, yet it goes largely unaddressed in mainstream discussions. It's time to acknowledge this injustice and advocate for change.
I don't think the supernatural is a problem for the MCU. The multiverse is the perfect platform they're not from 616 earth so they don't have to be connected to a thor or a Spider-Man ect.
I find it funny people are throwing their hands up now about Mahershala Ali Being his age but yet there is a contingent of fans that want Wesley Snipes back as Blade,John said that this is just turn into the comedy minutes been a comedy for years now
I’m starting to think that when it comes to Mahershala Ali as Blade we’re gonna end up getting an Edward Norton as Bruce Banner kind of situation, where he’ll be Blade for this 1 movie but the next time we see him he’ll be played by someone else, because at this point Mahershala Ali is gonna be too old to continue on as Blade for another decade or so, and obviously they’re gonna want Blade around for a long time, and so I think they’re just gonna have to end up recasting him after his first movie
I just don't think they know how to make a blade movie. The MCU is soft around the edges. If you can't set the tone like the club scene in the first movie why bother.
Yep. They can't make a real movie that hits the way Blade should. The original Blade was a revelation. Kicking off the Leather jacket look along with The Matrix.
Don't you miss the days of just being able to see a movie released without worrying how it's going to fit in an larger universe, New Line certainly wasn't worried about that with the Wesley Snipes Blade
@@teddybear8348it is difficult to connect with MCU, why Avengers don't know about vampires, where they been when Thanos snap half of the universe and ets
This sht ain't funny. It's easy to explain Blade in the MCU. He's in Marvel comicbooks with other characters we've seen in the mcu. Midnight Sons. Don't over think it.
From the first time I saw Y'lan Noel in the movie The First Purge, I saw a great choice for a fresh Blade in the MCU. He was young, he had the look and the physicality... But I guess he went under the radar. Oh well, I guess we're doing Old Man Blade.
His casting was a mistake. Too old to have a franchise with him, not believable as martial artist, and will want to quickly move on with different roles.
I'd like to see a younger actor get the role. Plus, it would be cool if Marvel got a fresh actor like they did with Ms. Marvel. Get someone who grew up in a martial arts background and has decent acting chops. Make Blade a bad ass as he should be!
It’s crazy how complicated they’ve made this lol like blade is so iconic I think they’re rewriting his story so it can be more rated R feel like Deadpool I hope
They make a good point but blade could be from a different universe, you have an incursion and then blade comes to the 616 but would be hard to not make that sound crazy, his origin would have to take place prior to Iron Man 1
I agree at this point i doubt with his age & delays ,he'll ever play thos role. Blade needs to be in good shape & be able to do hand to hand combat. Great actor definitely, but i doubted 5yrs ago if he'd be able to get in that type of shape. Def don't c it now, get him for a different role that could suit him.
One offs are ok at times but we don't wanna see Blade as a one off. We wanna see him interact with other Marvel characters. Thats kinda the whole point of a shared universe. And we don't need the confusion of multiple characters running around with there own series of movies. As far as where vampires were during everything, you could easily explain that away as they were hiding in secret. More secret than even the Skrulls were or something (who haven't been that secret tbh). Or you can say magic had something to do with it. Its a thousand different reasons you can come up with. This movie shouldn't be that hard to write. They're bullshitting and thats the real truth. And they're probably rewriting more than just the Blade movie if you ask me. They're probably reshaping a lot of future things which is affecting Blade. They saw how these movies have been bombing movie after movie, and that combined with the Kang problems and a couple other things, has caused Disney to take a step back from everything so they can reshape the mcu.
They should have made a Blade 4 proper, specially since Wesley was eager and still in shape enough to do it...The movie could have just explained that Blade wakes up decades later from his hibernation that he entered in Trinity and that vampire society slowly and secretly rebuild itself retroactively in the MCU, which would have made it made sense that nobody noticed them.
Nailed it. I like the waking up from hibernation after trinity. And if he killed Drizzy, maybe thats the reason there's no vampires. They died after Blade Trinity. He's a man without a battle like Steve Rogers was a man out of time.
NO CHANCE they make this film with him no way hes now over 50 ? you starting an action movie with a 50 year old hoping to use him a few times before recast the star is now just to old to start doing action flicks like blade this is dead in the water
I have the answer for how vampires were hidden so well, and it’s inspired by one of the explanations for something that happened in “Argylle.” Vampires have been working diligently to blend in with the whole of humanity for hundreds, thousands of years and “surprisingly, it actually worked.”

It's time to acknowledge this injustice and advocate for change.
lol
I'm getting really annoyed with the rewrites might as well cancel it.
It a rewrite is just they change some the dialogue they not change the whole story
Werewolf by midnight felt right. Why won’t blade
Werewolf by Night was great
I don't think the supernatural is a problem for the MCU. The multiverse is the perfect platform they're not from 616 earth so they don't have to be connected to a thor or a Spider-Man ect.
That's what is proposing them 5o do
I find it funny people are throwing their hands up now about Mahershala Ali Being his age but yet there is a contingent of fans that want Wesley Snipes back as Blade,John said that this is just turn into the comedy minutes been a comedy for years now
I’m starting to think that when it comes to Mahershala Ali as Blade we’re gonna end up getting an Edward Norton as Bruce Banner kind of situation, where he’ll be Blade for this 1 movie but the next time we see him he’ll be played by someone else, because at this point Mahershala Ali is gonna be too old to continue on as Blade for another decade or so, and obviously they’re gonna want Blade around for a long time, and so I think they’re just gonna have to end up recasting him after his first movie
Maybe they're stalling hoping he wants out his contact. I feel like he'd make am awful Blade. Ali is not menacing enough to play Blade.
I just don't think they know how to make a blade movie. The MCU is soft around the edges. If you can't set the tone like the club scene in the first movie why bother.
Blade should be easy and not nearly as expensive as other cosmic Marvel movies
Just good lighting for night shots
How hard is it make blade the vampire slayer John wick style
HOW HARD
It's mostly will be about his daughter
Just cancel the damn movie and be done with it. BLADE (MCU) WILL SUCK.
Yep. Wesley Snipes wanted to do a Blade IV. Feige wanted a reboot.
Blade one was great the rest were not.
Now I am worried about the Blade movie. I have never seen a movie that went through a lot of rewrites turn out well.
how hard is it to write a film about a vampire hunter? it shouldn't be this complicated
I think this is one of the movies that Bob Igar canceled but doesn’t want to make it public. All of these delays are just excuses.
At this point, I think we would be more invested in the release of the video game they announced last year, instead of the film.
Is it really that difficult to write a story about blade?
Normally I would be like yes... any good script needs time to get the details right... but it's been 5 years now and this is ridiculous!
@@JuanSandoval-qb8blwhat is you point then? Five night with freddy took 8 years to make this movie it not the first time that is happen
They have the Bloodline story they're just having issues with the dialogue.
If they have to recast blade, I say cast somebody younger like John boega. And set. Blade and England like he supposed to be
Multiple Avatar movies will be released before their Blade movie comes out.
If Blade is going to stick around, they need to recast with someone younger. It sucks but it is what it is.
Maharshala Ali is too old to play Blade anyway. Wesley Snipes was 38 years old when he first played Blade. Recast Blade with an younger actor.
Agreed… why cast an old ass blade… love blade but hand the role to someone younger
@@pauliez609Blade doesn't age goofy
Mahershala is going to age out of the part before they ever get started. And how long might it be before he gets tired of waiting and drops out?
You think his age is a issue
He can be Kang
From the first time I saw Y'lan Noel in the movie The First Purge, I saw a great choice for a fresh Blade in the MCU. He was young, he had the look and the physicality... But I guess he went under the radar. Oh well, I guess we're doing Old Man Blade.
I thought he should have been the new T'Challa.
@@Dru2037 That could work too.
Blade 2049 w Villeneuve directing would be sick.
His casting was a mistake. Too old to have a franchise with him, not believable as martial artist, and will want to quickly move on with different roles.
Lmfao 100 bucks says this movie never comes out
U already know Ali is probably the only one who wants the absolute best for this project.
I'd like to see a younger actor get the role. Plus, it would be cool if Marvel got a fresh actor like they did with Ms. Marvel. Get someone who grew up in a martial arts background and has decent acting chops. Make Blade a bad ass as he should be!
Thst not really a good diraction
It should always be Wesley Snipes he the one that made blade great facts
One good Blade movie 50 years ago
It’s crazy how complicated they’ve made this lol like blade is so iconic I think they’re rewriting his story so it can be more rated R feel like Deadpool I hope
@@MarkLedder he has already shown us he's as good as we all thought.
I would cast John David Washington as Blade and maybe have Mahershala in something like Deadpool & Wolverine or Multiverse of Madness
A 5 foot 7 Blade 😂
@@Dru2037 he's 5'9 and I doubt that matters. Look how bad Hugh Jackman (6'3) is doing as Wolverine (5'3) 😅
It’s been 84 years, just cancel it. Who knew the concept of a cool vampire Hunter killing vampires would be such a head scratcher 😂
Him kill vampire is't what gonna carry the flim you still need A GREAT STORY this ain't FATF here
I love Mahershala but I think he was too old when he was casted….they need a younger actor especially at this point
At some point the actor has to just walk away from the project you'd think
Feeling like Black Adam all over again... Hope it not a repeat
Get the actor who played black manta in aquaman Good actor great presence and much younger
He'd be a good pick but he's already playing wonder man, his D+ show just wrapped filming earlier this year
This turning into a new mutants situation smh
NO CHANCE they make this film with him no way hes now over 50 ? you starting an action movie with a 50 year old hoping to use him a few times before recast the star is now just to old to start doing action flicks like blade this is dead in the water
I have the answer for how vampires were hidden so well, and it’s inspired by one of the explanations for something that happened in “Argylle.”
Vampires have been working diligently to blend in with the whole of humanity for hundreds, thousands of years and “surprisingly, it actually worked.”
It's a vampire movie it's not rocket science.
They don’t know how to make it better than the originals lol
@@AlkalineInsides thye know they just try to make a great story
The thing is a vampire is somthing that sound easy to make but it really somthing that need to take the time becuse this very easy can be bad vampire flim and there a lot of it
