Thank you for the best video with great info especially the diagram.
I used this to replace aircon pump.. A bit tricky to remove it but this video got my confidence up.
Thank You for your video and information
Thank you kindly. I have subscribed and just changed the oil and filter after watching that video.
Do a break pad one please 😁
Keep em coming please.
Thank you for the effort of making these videos mate, much appreciated. Do you know where we can find a shop manual for these cars, I’ve scoured the internet’s with no joy🤷♂️
I don't know of any workshop manuals. In some cases search for Chevrolet Captiva as the US and European models are similar.
Can you do a 2 year ownership review? 🙏
Is it necessary to take the engine mount off if only replacing the belt?
No, if only changing the tensioner you don't need to remove the engine mount bracket, but it does make fitting the belt easier and you can check if it is seated on all of the pulleys correctly.
Hi mate,
Great video.
Where did you get your Dayco parts from?
Cheers
Burson auto parts
e-bay mate cheaper if u not in hurry just put the PUX part number that's in the video and it will come up usually sparesbox has them👍
My Captiva 2015 LTZ diesel is making this weird knocking tuk tuk tuk sound once warmed up. When driving it's not noticed or heard only when you stop at red lights etc it's quite noticeable and annoying specially with music off. I have seen many videos on net , some saying knocking sensor, some says they replaced injector etc but issue still there, some says clean up wiring module connectors under black engine cover it has fixed there issue. Can you please advice?
It could be the alternator pulley if it only makes a sound at idle. Use a funnel attached to a long screwdriver to diagnose where the noise is coming from.
@captivalife cheers man, really appreciate your reply

This is the exact sound, I got this from net not my captiva but this is the issue annoying me from 1 year or so 😒
@@rickyaman in that video it sounds like the clicking noise that the alternator pulley makes. The pulley is not a fixed pulley it has a clutch mechanism on it. This should be easy for a mechanic to diagnose if that is where the vibration is coming from.
@captivalife cheers , will update you in January when I take it to the mechanic.
Hi how many kms has your car done
80,000 km so far
Hi, are U located in Sydney??
No
Hey I just bought one. Happy so far. The turbo makes what I believe is a spooling whistle. Does yours make that noise too? I can only hear it with the window open
Ours Captiva makes same turbo noises with lowered windows, they have pretty beefy turbos on 2.2cdti
