Trapped my 2002 SLP Camaro SS close to 170mph last year......almost stock.
I believe it. My 97 z28 got up to 150mph no problem before i had to back off. And thats with a few less horsies that a 2002 ss.

I think that if we had another mile of highway we might have run over 210 mph. Same on the VR1200 which might have run over 230 mph.
Im a Ford guy, and i LOVE mustangs a hell of a lot more than Camaro's and Vettes... But God damn the LS motors sound good with a big cam..

If I was a cop, and a ZL1 blew by me at 200, I'd simply laugh and not even bother to try and catch up to him.

The comments from some of these guys are so idiotic (GT 500 vs ZL1). Don't even have either car, but they talk like professional test drivers that have wheel time in both cars. Grow up kids. I drive between Houston and Austin a lot Hennessy in Sealy, Texas has done well IS doing well . Just watch out for the DPS that roams west of Sealy on I 10, the La Grange Unit and the Bastrop units. That stretch of Texas is gorgeous drive, just have to know where the black & whites or Dark grey ones are at. Well done Hennessy!!!

they both sound good just something about the whine of that turbo sounds like a fighter jet running you down, also when they back it off the trailer it has one nasty lope

Yeah your probable right. The older v8's had a different firing order that changed when the vortec V8's came out in 96. And something about those older iron blocks they seem alot louder than todays aluminim ones.

No, NOT 8 days.. only a bit over 40 seconds from a roll to 200 mph.. which is outstanding!! and in 40 seconds at an average of 180 mph, it required approximately 2 miles... WOW..

I live in austin, I took the 130 tollway on my motorcycle, cruised it at 140mph for 20 miles. Its just a matter of time before cops set up speed traps though.
