That is such a beautiful view! I can see how being atop that mountain served as inspiration for the early settlers who undoubtedly were excited about their future. Thanks for sharing.
Just a correction: you are in the Wasatch mountains on the hike and pointing across the valley to the Oquirrh mountains. (pronounced O-ker)

Is that at all close to the "Golden Spike" site of the railroads meeting from West and East? Promotory Summit
It's about an hour (and a half maybe?) from SLC. That's a video I'll be putting up sometime this month.
