Okay. I understand how daphné is only trying to defend her friends, but the way she’s acted towards imane really pisses me off. Daphné has always throughout the series said stupid insensitive remarks, but then she acts pissed towards imane, but then defends Ingrid. It just really bothers me.
Yep. Imane has put up with a lot of dumb, subtley racist/islamophobic remarks, and honestly in every version of Skam, I don’t understand why she wants to be friends with someone (Vilde) who has been ignorant and spiteful towards her since the beginning... of course the Vilde characters aren’t held accountable for their words like Imane was when she (totally understandably imo) called out Ingrid for the subtley racist comments. Like huh???? Why is it all of a sudden not okay to call that shit out??? That was one thing that I thought Imane did right this season, but no one took her side and it was used against her. It pisses me off.
Imane should have just end her relationship with the girl squad. I'm too far gone to care if they get back together and she should just hang out with the guys instead.
?? i'm pretty sure losing her friends would break Imane's heart... the girl squad have their reasons to be upset with Imane. I think they overreacted a bit and should have listened to Imane. But they really do love each other.
@@cindyjane4032 She has the guys, Jamila and some of her other Muslim friends doubt she would be lonely. Yeah they have a right to be mad but they should apologise also to Imane for siding with Ingrid, not asking what was up with her sooner. There are times I wonder why they are even friends and her relationship with them feels one sided at times.

Iqqy Hassan honestly, Iman is so guarded; of all the Sanas, she seems to have the thickest and highest walls. I think her friends just wanted to give her space, but the writers needed to have the girl group have a falling out this season. Plus they did charles dirty this season. 😡
Girl you need to watch Skam España’s finale like NOW jaja. Especially the contrast between how Amira and Imane are treated by the girl squad.
Imane's situation and Amira's sotuation are so different though! It's not even comparable!! I think the sana's seasons would be the season of divergence: all of them will be so different from each other! In OG Sana did something wrong but not directly to the girls while Imane did something wrong but directly to Manon and Alexia!! Maybe Amira's season would be like in OG! But we're still in season 2 in skam espana!
This is comparison makes no sense because its in the Sana season where conflict is introduced for her. Obviously the Sana character is at a different place in S2 and in S4 both personally and with her friends. Same with Imane, the girl squad was great the previous seasons until they were tried like this in this season.

@@alexdelaloire8739 First of all, this is not the same thing. You are comparing sexuality with friendship. That's like comparing apple with an orange. Not the same thing. Also If Imane is not being treated right by her friends in any of the seasons even her own season then I just don't know what else for me to say then her simply having shitty friends and bad representation.
You're always so insightful and gives a valid perspective to every side of the situation. You would be fantastic when it comes to being diplomatic in time of crisis. Maybe you should consider a role as a negotiator/mediator in the future.
They basically decided to change things and make it more dramatic (and that worked for s3), but forgot to think about the new dynamics it all created

i don't really like the idea of manon and charles getting back together, i mean he is toxic, and didn't believe in manon or support her when he should, also when he came back, he got agressive and start following her, provoke sofiane, and basically being disgusting, sorry not sorry
I didn’t like them in the first place. People kept talking about their chemistry but I didn’t feel it? Charles was one of the worst Williams imo that I have seen from the remakes (Druck and wtFOCK so far) and Idk... just never liked them or understood why others did 🤷🏻♀️ he was even more arrogant than others I think and there was less build up to them getting together.

Up to this episode I disagree, pain and conflict doesnt it make it bad. Skam france escalated the stakes here and that is great and valid you know, everyone has different experiences and reactions to their inner turmoil, but i think where it makes a difference of whether they messed it up or not is how they resolve everything and stick the landing and thats where i think they failed in ep. 9 and thats when they did. * sigh
so your idea of a good season is every1 falls in love and walks up a hill with rainbows and all that? lol

Everything is fucked... Imane should’ve told Alex about the call... I honestly think Imane was right to call Ingrid out so that’s one thing I don’t understand why they make out to be so bad... Alex shouldn’t have told Manon, I so wanted to see Imane finally admit to what she did... idk what Daphne was on about with Baz??? and I hate that it’s like Imane is making all the wrong choices, but she’s always expected to be so perfect so it’s understandable that she’s blown up, it has to happen at some point. Just... ugh

Emma is such an annoying character. They just turned her into someone that just like didn't give a crap about anything. How she treated Alex was rude and she had no business getting involved in the fight with the girls, neither did Daphne.
Dont get me wrong, I see Imane's side and I think she is right that Ingrid says really insensitive things but I dont think that Ingrid is intentionally trying to be racist. And i just think there should be a difference between how you react to someone like that versus someone that is genuinely a racist asswhole trying to put people down. I wish Imane had just pulled Ingird aside and let her know why her comments were wrong and why it rubs her the wrong way. I understand Imane isnt responsible for that but when this girl is friends with her friends she can say she tried everything to speak with her. If Ingrid ocntinued to say those comments then in that case i can see her getting upset and I think Imane should have talked to her friends about her.
I just dont think its the right way to go about things having Imane blow up at Ingrid and then do all these crapy things to the girls. I dont think the general audience is going to be that sympathetic toward Imane, and thats a bummer because she started out the season so great. She just comes off so upset all the time and its not that she doesnt have a reason to be upset but to constantly have her be angry in every single scene is really difficult to watch.
Everyone is harping on the girl squad but damn, friends fight. And Imane did some shady things. They have a right to be upset and need some space from her.
The Marles storyline is a mess, I am mad they destroyed them.
This fit perfectly in the context in France. I understand your comment but I can't stand. This was not the first time Ingrit is racist. And she don't heard the true she just try to explain. There is no escuse to racism even ignorance. The rights way is just to understand it and apologize. Course she didn't say things on purpose but it racism either. I'm French and there is something called ordinary racism and this is what Ingrid is doing. This is worst in some way because it is just ignored and seems normal to people who never experiment racism.
I think she was less understanding than with Daphne but in this point she is right. And the argument Ingrit used were the worst. In French television saying I'm not racist because I do have black friend is actually the worst thing to say. Just apologize because no one want to be racist true but we all do mistakes and it's OK in the moment we just recognize it. I think Imane did a lot of crap but in this case I doesn't matter because as she say it's violent to heard things like this. Sorry I'm French and my English is not good.
About the girl squad I'm totally agree with you but seeing that yours friends did not notice that you were in a really bad mood is so sad. And imane react because she uses to be the strongest one and this explain her non telling to people her problems and maybe that why her friends didn't notice because she is "the strongest ".

I see your point completely but I dont think every human in this world is trying to be an evil racist person that says sly things to get under peoples skins. I know I myself have made mistakes in my past with things I have said, not intending it to sound bad but it does. And when someone brings it to my attention I learn from it and try to be better. Maybe Ingrid is one of these people, maybe she isn't, but Imane never even gave her that chance to change or to prove herself. She just assumed she was being racist, called her a racist and then refuses to speak to her still. I just find that behavior really frustrating. If you dont get along with someone, I think the first thing to do is to try to talk to them about it and explain why you are upset. If that doesn't work, then dont associate with them. But you shouldn't yell at them in front of everyone. TBH it makes that person who is yelling look like the bad guy even if they are valid in their annoyance. I hope that makes sense.
The whole "i have black friends" is def. an annoying "excuse" that people try to make and it shouldn't be said but again, when people say it, some of the time i odnt think they even realize why its bad. I think they are trying to explain why they couldn't't and arent racist. I just think it comes down some people just wanting to see the worst in everybody when that isn't always the case. My uncle for example is a democrat, he supports gay rights and is very open minded but the other day he made a comment about a guy wearing nail polish at the store. I could have let the comment slide or gotten upset with him but i didnt do either, I calmly told him that it wasnt a big deal and asked him why he felt the need to bring it up and we had a good conversation about it. I feel like he wont make those comments again because we had a cordial discussion about it. I could have easily written him off as being homophobic but I dont think that is fair because I dont think he is a bad person deep down.
People grow up just hearing how people talk and a lot of times they say things based off what they hear from kids at school and their parents etc. I just think people deserve that chance to be better and i dont feel like Imane gave that to Ingrid at all.

To me she's not racist she doesn't do it on purpose to hurt Imane. And if Imane would have talk to her like a normal person que would have understand.
But that is the problem. Being racist in most case is not on purpose but as she said it's violent. In France racism is very violent and the first reason is the ignorance. Imane react in the right way because this is not the first time Ingrid was. She don't want to heard it and apologize. Do not forget that racism on purpose and real racism if I can say that have kind of the same impact in the mind of people that are victims of it. Ignorance is ok but stay ignorant is not.
The producters said that this is the reality in France and they will not use filter as they do in television every day. The industry of television try to hide this but that, what happens in skam is the true.
Just because its not on purpose doesnt mean its not racism. There are many types of racism.
