I have a 20 frame Lyson that looks just like yours, just a little smaller around, so far it has been a very reliable machine. In the past I have had the best luck uncapping with a cold knife. I have never wanted to use heat of any kind with our honey, but I do like that uncapper. Are you running plastic foundation? I am foundationless mediums here and when I tried the pricker roller thing a couple years ago I had lots of trouble with blow outs and balance issues. With that uncapper do you think the cells are getting as empty as they would with a knife uncapping process?
We have, and still do sometimes, used a 14” bread knife to uncapp with. We run a mix of plastic foundation, half sheet foundation and foundationless. We will uncapping some foundationless on our next pull in two weeks. Im interested to see how the Simple Harmony Farms uncapper performs. Honestly Im skeptical on how it will do on foundationless. As far as cell emptying during extraction, I saw no difference in the amount of honey left. We stayed right on our historical average per super. We will do another video and hopefully answer your questions and mine😁
Do you have a plugging filter issue after the extractor using the Simple Harmony from fine wax? I use a hot knife currently and have very little issues with plugging using the same 600 micron filters on my buckets currently. Wondering how this method would compare.
I am in the market for an extractor I have been looking at the maxant 20 frame and the lysons. Do you still have to tilt it forward to get the honey that sits at the bottom any suggestions?
Nope! Thats one of the huge PROs of the Lyson. The honey gate sits very very low unlike the Maxant. Im going to do a thorough review of the extractor on our next harvest. Hopefully this weekend if the weather will cooperate 😁. Thanks for watching!
I bolted my 8 frame to a pallet. It helped tremendously.
Thanks for the video Rusty! I spun a few frames myself today.
Honey harvest is definitely a love/hate relationship for us!😂
Great video Rusty! I need to get one of those uncapping tanks or something similar. I too love the Simple Harmony Farms uncapper.
brucesbees you were spot on about the uncapper. It is great!
Great video guys! Thanks.
I love that extractor. I plan for that to be my next investment.
You wont regret it! We love it!
What kind of uncapping tank is that, pretty nifty setup?
Love it! Great job
Thanks brother!
What ya trying to sell I like the look of the beer can about now

Hi
Do you still use the same uncapper and are you still happy about it?
Yes. We are very happy with it!
Nothing feels better at that age then mud between your toes.

@@herdingbeeswithrustyandmik3689 Thanks and also is it really easy to clean looks like it
Very easy to clean. Much simpler to disassemble than the Maxant.
