  • Hey guys, this female captain at the league city boat launch ended up breaking a Bank board off of the trailer and her husband ended up having to go and backed the boat up and put it on the trailer in the end after about 20 minutes! Thank you so much guys. I hope you enjoy the video. This was at the League City Boat Launch in League City Texas.

I don't think I would walk up to people and film them on their dock

She was at the helm, but he's the one that screwed it up by pulling the boat toward the dock. And he had the trailer deeper than it needed to be which makes it worse.

Wow so many people are taking so long on the ramps, I would be quite furious if I was there. Once a ramp is ready, I take about 5 min at most on the ramp for either launching or recovering.
I was at Laughlin last weekend and a freakin large family was doing all of their post ride checklist for 25 min on the ramp. They were there when I pulled up on my seadoo and still there after getting the truck n trailer to the ramp, I had to tell them, yo you’re supposed to do that in the designated area…. I hate newbies who aren’t apologetic or not willing to learn the rules of boating.

After watching these videos I now realize that the baby boomers and Generation X had the best education anybody could have. After generation X people seem to have really gone backwards and I don't mean back towards the baby boomers, I mean backwards in intelligence.

you guys remind me of a teacher who is constantly looking over your shoulder to see if you were making any mistake.
to be honest i would find it a little annoying to be filmed while doing something like that.
although there might be some funny things happening sometimes.

Not only that, she was lined up pretty well and he pulled the boat toward the dock and that's what screwed things up. Then he's standing directly in front of the boat and apparently still blind to the fact that it's way off center and has her power up anyway.

It was painful watching the guy in the blue shirt walk around and take his sweet ass time like nobody else needed to use the ramp. He was almost no better of a driver than his wife! I don’t know what was so difficult about just backing up and putting it on straight?!

new boat , new boat owner, boat and trailer is not easy for the first timer.. anybody can buy a boat but not everybody can be a captain.. its like a horse.. buying is the easiest and the funest part a boat..

The bunks on that trailer were already in bad shape before the last recovery. You can see that the carpet on that particular bunk was frayed or worn through as the trailer was being backed into the water.

  • @JollyGreen79

Not her fault. He can see what's going far better than she can. He was way too deep too. He should have either pushed her off and had her come in straight or had her back off and come back in straight. I'm guessing she doesn't know what she's doing at all and really, neither does he. They both need to go watch some UA-cam videos.

Some sketchy looking docks and no room to have a boat and then try to move a trailer in.
He was being lazy for not wanting to get his shorts wet. All he had to do was walk out 6 feet, put the winch on it and winch it in.
Once it was on the trailer at the wrong angle, he could of even backed up 2 feet to get the trailer out from under the boat and then pull forward again. Literally looks like their first time loading it.
Trailer was too far in to begin with. I have a WaveRunner and I have to get wet every time I launch and get it out. Usually only takes me under a minute to get it off an on tied to the dock and then haul ass to the truck and get out of there so I am not blocking other people.
Everyone has their bad days. But it comes to a point that you need yo just tie back up. Move the vehicle and let others have their turn.

The bunk is no big deal. What is a big deal is blocking the ramp. Next time dock the boat. Take the trailer to the nearest marina and they will usually repair it on the spot. Go back, load the boat. No one gets pissy then.

With all these fails that you and credit card captain have recorded there should be a dock handler that spots problems and gives a helping hand. Sort of like a tourist guide.

The county should fork over some bucks and refurbish this 20+ yr ramp & park. ..the water is so off-color on this day,
And the rule-of-thumb is back down until the top of the fender-wells.
Just a short hop into Clear Lake, out the Kemah Channel, into Galveston Bay, follow the ship-channel out to the Gulf of Mexico.
I'm a block off connecting Taylor Lake. Great area to live.

He put the trailer in too deep on the first attempt, and he did not realize how far off center she was. You are right they need more experience. The trailer depth was better on the second attempt. "trailer put on the boat"... lol. You said that a couple times.
