Travis has said in multiple videos just how GOOD NASCAR drivers are compared to the other Motorsports he's competed in. He's always praised the Sport, but imagine if he'd started in Outlaw Sprint Cars on Dirt?! He'd have been a MONSTER
Travis was an interesting storyline but he overestimated the learning curve like a lot of crossover drivers do. I always had immense respect for his wheel game after seeing him in ROC one year racing in every slot for team USA
@@Johnnypaycheck77 plenty got it but if u don’t take time to learn and development you won’t succeed pretty sure Pastrana and Carmichael both said that was there main problem
I have 10 suggestions for "Were They That Bad?" Drivers: 1. Brendan Gaughan 2. Regan Smith 3. Trevor Bayne 4. Colin Braun 5. Landon Cassill 6. Jennifer Jo Cobb 7. Spencer Gallagher 8. Jesse Iwuji 9. Jade Buford 10. Chad McCumbee
I think he did pretty good considering his lack of experience. He was a bit of a magnet for other's wrecks though. I mean, he jumped into national level series. What I dont understand is his lack of sponsorship. He should have been able to get tons of sponsorship.....he was as marketable as possible. What happened there?
Ragan is an interesting case. He had a full career so he wouldn’t really fit in this series, but I was thinking of making a series about the journeyman drivers like ragan, Yeley and Sorensen. But Those would take a very long time to make lol

TP has always said he struggles on asphalt. If you look at what he has always been good at, it was dirt.
Great video BTW
If he wouldn’t have rushed himself up he coulda been good
You got it, or you don't, plus he's a pay driver.

@@Johnnypaycheck77you say this as if he’s some rich kid with a paycheck from daddy. this is why teenagers shouldn’t be allowed to use the internet.
Great video, I really enjoy your work and this series!

Jo Cobb especially. She's a pretty alright Truck driver, and she got scammed out of her only few NASCAR starts. I wish she had a bigger chance.
Good suggestions! I actually already did one on Gallagher and I made a driver profile on Bayne a while back
@@fish46262 I thought she would've gotten some Top 20s in the Nationwide (now Xfinity) Series. What could've been.
@@racingwithjoe Oh, what about the others?
@@jareddiamond5133 plenty of good suggestions there, Chad McCumbee especially
In the beggining, yea he stunk, but god dammit he almost had that daytona top 5
He simply crashed way too much. If he didn’t crash as much he could’ve maybe come back for a second season and fine tuned his driving more

Travis never really focused 100 percent on NASCAR anyone who followed him knows that
Here's a suggestion of was he that bad:
My favorite driver of all time
David Ragan
Ragan is an interesting case. He had a full career so he wouldn’t really fit in this series, but I was thinking of making a series about the journeyman drivers like ragan, Yeley and Sorensen. But Those would take a very long time to make lol
I think he could've been a really good super speedway merchant
I wonder if he went to cup like jimmie if he would do better
Maybe but I seriously doubt it lol
pastrana was not good enough to be with roush that early in his career
