Thank you 🙏 for this video. I own two Ultrasone headphones and love them. The S Logic technology is very neutral so actually balanced for studio use. Ultrasone is a small headphone manufacturer from Bavaria. They manufacture by hand here on site. Only the very cheap series are made in the Asian region. I have visited the manufacturing myself already here.
By the way, Stevie Wonder, Seal and Axel Rose from Guns'n'Roses to name just a few examples, use in the studio on Ultrasone headphones. At some radio and television stations, these are also in use. By the way, the ADAM Audio STUDIO PRO SP-5, which is often used in recording studios, is actually an Ultrasone headphone.

I actually like Ultrasone products a lot, and from what I heard we should be seeing more and more launchies from them now that they changed a few things down the production and manangement lines

I have the Adam Audio version of these, I love the sound a lot, I wish they had less clamp force though and the padding hasn't lasted very long. But they really sound better than Beyerdynamics I have heard.
Woah, happy you're liking the sound! The clamping force is indeed quite strong, they are made to stay on the head regardless what you're doing!
Please check out the Ultrasone Edition 11 with a hybrid tube amp. It is such an engaging and fun sound to listen to

I will try to,. but I currently don't have it available to me locally, and I don't think the copmpany is still selling it since they are slowly discontinuing the older series for the new signature series
My review of the Ultrasone 900i is purely subjective. This does not claim to rate the KH in the profile segment (mix/mastering).

That was the first track (of the legendary release of the same name by the British heavy metal battleship Judas Priest) that I heard about this first-class KH from the Ultrasone forge.
Rob Halford’s ultimate, bloodcurdling siren vocals paired with Scott Travis‘ power drumming, flanked by thunderstorms of steel created by guitar virtuoso Glenn Tipton
and K.K. Downing is unleashed.
Ian Hill’s bass pumps precise, clean, bone dry and lays the foundation for one of metal’s quintessential anthems.
The Ultrasone „acknowledges“ with the construction of a large and impressive stage. Regardless of the required high dynamics/level, the sound remains relaxed and appears to play without any effort. The impulse fidelity and the response behavior can be described as extraordinary.
Such a detailed, high-resolution and, above all, crystal-clear, always powerful reproduction had never been seen before by any of the high-priced KH/sound converters that I had ever known and used
(Audio Technica, Grado, Denon, Beyer, Oppo, Audioquest, Sony, B&W).
A prerequisite, however, is a high-quality audio chain. Source device plus KHV. Recommendation:

The 900i serves as a perfect allrounder.
KLF, Sarah McLachlan, Björk, Lisa Dalbello or Jim Kerr are performed with the same sensitivity and attention to detail as the British heavy metal pioneers Judas Priest mentioned at the beginning, the aggro-tech riot group Combichrist, or the crystal-clear performance of the sublime Sound art by Anathema, one of THE most extraordinary prog rock/alternative bands on our planet.
The Ultrasone 900i is designed as a closed system. Despite this, it is able to draw excellent spatiality and a wide stereo stage. The placement of the instruments succeeds precisely.
On this stage, the high resolution is on an equal footing with an almost abysmal (always cleanly focused) bass foundation. The high/mid range is complete and well presented across the frequency range. Even if the (admittedly) bass-heavy tuning “strikes”. This tuning is unusual, but gives the KH a unique selling point and distinguishes it.
The feel is very good, the processing quality is robust. However, there is a certain bulkiness due to its dimensions. The wearing comfort/the contact pressure of the headband along with the dimensioning/fit of the earpieces is exemplary.
The design is timeless.

Those would be great for gaming, thanks to their closed-back design and wide soundstage.
Those cans looks interesting, but I'm kinda worried about bass amount... if it's tight, fast and very well controlled I might like it, especially if it's focused on sub regions, but if it have any signs of booming, softness and focus on mid bass, that's a no go for me...

It has a LOT of bass in general, there is some bloom and a LOT of bass including mid bass, but most of the focus is in the sub bass. It is not a tight headphone for sure, but at this price point it has the cleanest bass and some of the best detail available

I'm wondering how good are Ultrasone in comparison, as Focal Listen are my fav closed cans for years and I can't find anything even remotely as good in range of 300 dollar cans.
@@blablybla I think you could find a better upgrade in the 500USD+ range, like Aeon 2 Noire, Signature Pure will not be an upgrade from a 300 USD headphone, likely as those are in the 200 USD range from what I understand from Ultrasone
@@AudiophileHeaven Thanks again. It's not as much about an upgrade, more about finding some second/backup pair of cans. Unfortunately, most headphones in 200 - 300 $ range have messed up, "consumer friendly" tonality with too much mid bass bump, without good control, very often crippled mids and either too much or too little highs, etc.

3.5mm , lock mechanism at the headphone side. It is the same Ultrasone had since 2016. Since it is a propietary cable, it is impossible to replace it with anything else but Ultrasone's own cables

Can you compare it to dxp or signature x? In terms of details and bass punch
Only Signature DXP, I have not heard the X yet. DXP has more punch in the mid bass, a smoother treble, less sharpness, less harshness, more impact in the drums. Signature Pure has a MUCH more bassy sound, more thickness, more depth, better impact, better explosions, more sub end presence. It is also sharper in the treble, more V-Shaped.

@@Hameemmusic Pure has much more low end, between 20 Hz and 150 Hz presence,
DXP has more drums presence, between 80 Hz and 200 Hz, it sounds more poppy, but doesn't have as much sub bass
All I hear on this video is plastic creaking.
I had headphones with far worse creaking, but if you feel like with the Pure you couldn't stand the creaking, better get something else
the headband is a mess

@@RoverWaters My signature X was similar. I went on a business trip for 2 months and left them on a block to stretch them out. It really helped, but they still clamp like mofo
