You can save Sun Jian. Also, don't feel worried that if you didn't save someone and have to roll back your saves. DWO has a good system that once complete an ending, you can jump before any important branches and you can have all your upgrades. I just finished Cao Cao route with normal ending (didn't spend too much time searching what to do so that it), and then only take 1 hour to replay the specific battle that i did wrong and get the true ending. Now i am enjoying Sun route and have a good time struggling with difficulty 4 and those challanges.
