I have watched LOTS of "How to use Chopsticks" now on UA-cam, and I think Danny San's video is absolutely the best. His technique is terrific and he's a joy to watch. You seem like a very nice person, thank you for taking the time to teach us all. Kindest Regards and wishing you much Good Luck!
CmdrMic wow, thanks for your nice comment. It takes a lot of time to make these videos and it’s really nice to see that they are helpful or entertaining.
Yes! They're so great! The expressions are also part of the language of ASL, conveying ideas visually rather than with words. Eyebrows even can indicate whether or not you're making a statement or asking a question. Super interesting to see how inflection is done without cues like tone of voice or volume. (I'm not sure if he's doing ASL or JSL here, but I assume that the facial cues and inflection is something visual languages would have in common.)
Hello Danny am from Kenya,Africa and been spending hours on youtube learning how to use chopsticks until i came across this😊😊 am so happy am holding food with my chopsticks without twisting. Thank you so much
Oh wow, I watched other video instructions about chopsticks and couldn't get it right. I watch your video and instantly see that top 3 fingers have to be round, not straight! I instantly applied it to my grip and it worked like a charm! ありがとうございます先生!
Max Nits that is awesome that you were able to adjust your fingers to be slightly bent and you were able to hold and use the chopsticks with ease. I’m so happy my video helped.
cant do it. hurts my hand and i dont have the dexterity to use my fingers like that. the bottom eventually slips and/or i cant move the top at all :( ill just continue to use it my way lol
noor3pt wow, I’m really happy that my technique helped you. I learned that technique when I was 13 years old, eating at a Chinese restaurant with instructions ok the chopstick paper wrapper. The secret to using chopsticks effectively is to stabilize the bottom chopstick and only move the top chopstick with your thumb, index and middle finger. Great job to you!!!
Hey ! Really the Best Chopstick-Tutorial i've seen for years ! Keep going ! Greetings from Germany ! Now I can really show off in my favorite japanese Restaurant !
Thank you for signing that is so useful to people that communicate using ASL. I liked the lesson in how to use chopsticks and watching your hands to see if I recognized any signed words!
These videos for instructions are very informative and so entertaining. I enjoyed very much. I think I have missed out on your anime travel chopsticks. Thank you for sharing your video.
Thank you sooo much for this video. Ive watched hundreds and could never learn. When u showed the bottom stick should make letter K it made sense. Im studying sign to communicate with my best friends mom. Thank you again...be well
It still is the best tutorial. Coming from the Care Capital of my country, with national institutes for both deaf and blind, I was most impressed. Still, my household Wilkinson Sword stainless steel cutlery serve me well.
Thank you so very much for this uncredible video. 🥰 I watch many videos how use chopsticks, but this video is the best and finally I learn properly use chopsticks. どうもありがとう 🙏🥰
Okay. I am sooo glad I ran into ALS chopstick tutorial. I'm can hear but I know sign. And you explained how to use chopsticks clearer than any other video. I'm subscribing and sharing with my friends
Thank you so much for you nice comment Tonisha. I'm very happy that my ASL Chopstick was very clear and easy to understand. Thank you for subscribing and sharing with your friends. You support helps me stay motivated to make more videos!
so glad i came across this channel. I had a feeling I wasn't holding chopsticks properly, although I get by. I will now attempt to hold my chopsticks the way you showed how.
Thank you for this wonderful video. I have owaz noticed nowadays there are too many ppl that cant hold their chopsticks properly. But i do not know how to teach to public. I can only teach those around me like how my old folks taught us as kids. Ur video is so good that i shared with many of my friends.😊

Great explanation. Thank you. I wish l'd seen your video earlier tonight. I made a Karaage Chicken and rice bowl and it would have been perfect to practice on. 😊
@@DeafJapanTV lt was very good. Thanks. I made FAR too much coleslaw to go with it though and l've had to eat coleslaw every night for a week so as not to waste it. 😁
Years ago I had a close relationship with a girl from Japan (she was originally from Chiba). The first thing she gave me was chopsticks. She told me "Practice with them" and sent me directions on how to use them with them. I of course, as funny as it was, never used them and kept them as a souvenir. She laughed and told me "No, use them, I'll send you others if you need them." however, the reason I kept them was much more than just some slobbery romance. Sometimes I remember the story and my relationship with her with pain, but I was also happy that she was a part of my life and shared herself with me.
What I have taken away from this experience, is that I am not very dexterous, and a cramp has taken up residence in my pinky finger. I don't think there's a video in existence that explains proper use of chopsticks better than this one, and I have somehow managed to make this look exceedingly difficult! Thank you for your videos!
Even being deaf, he communicates way, way better than most people I know. Finally, I learned how to hold properly chopsticks, thanks to him.
It clearly says on his channel i"am not a deaf Japanese person
