When I was a stylist, I would've done the same thing. I'm wondering if she should get a protective order, because this is just creepy.
I had a former employer call a current employer and try to convince the new one not to hire me. Unfortunately for the former, she has a reputation, in the entire county, for being crazy. Not only has her salon closed, but she can't find anyone to hire her anymore either. Talk about burning bridges, this chic set off a nuclear bomb, that destroyed her entire career.

Hey dainty! If you've been with her for 20 yrs, just be honest with her and say you want something different and take her pictures. My last stylist I had for 17 yrs and when I wanted her to not razor or thin my hair I just told her. She was excited to try something new! The Only reason she's not still doing my hair is because I moved. I think I've finally found a new stylist but it took her a minute to understand exactly what I wanted but once she did, we were off to the races! If you take her pics and she still gets it wrong just keep your tush in the chair and get her to try again. You're Paying her (even if it's not a lot) so get the service you want. 👍🏻
Do you think it would be a safety to ask her for that hairstyle? Do you know if she’s supportive of lgbtq+ people? If she is, I’m sure she would be totally fine if you told her you’re excited to try a new style!

Sje reccomended me to one of her co workers but assured me if I wanted to go to a different salon all together it's not a problem. Because she's a kind, understanding and proffesional woman. I did in fact stay at that particular salon because I love everyone that works there and they have an amazing formula for the purple color I like.
The hair stylist my mum used to take me since I was a child was pretty vengeful like this too. When I grew up and started earning my own money I started going to other stylists for hair colour and cuts cos she was pretty basic and couldnt do well with more in trend cuts and colours but since she was very cheap I would still go to her for other stuff like wax, hair spa etc and everytime she would see me with hair that she hadnt done she would get so passive aggressive and mess up the service I was getting done from her
This is why I just let my mom trim my hair, she's not a licensed stylist but she's practiced just cutting her own hair for years so she knows how to keep ends even. Hair stylist horror stories scare the crap out of me lol

WHEN I went 2 see her She was Pissed She DUMPED Bleach on my hair Didn't Time it Got PISSED that I washed it out! THEN Cut my Hair So crookedly in the front + sides that it was impossible 2 style. Then When I refused 2 let her cut my hair in the back She called me A DRAMA QUEEN!! I went to 6 different salons 2 see if they can Fix this nightmare ALL of them paled + said They CANNOT Help + wanted to know Who did this disaster. So Yeah I empathize!! Thank God I used 2 do hair so (Hate 2 say this because there IS a video out there) I used 2 be a Hairdresser And I can fix anything with my hair Btw She also bleached me out SO Pale A Grey White Almost the color Where your hair starts 2 Fall out!
