New subscriber here - just found your channel on a Starlink search. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Thanks for review. If you had the ability to do again, you could have returned your first equipment during the initial 30 day free trial period and then repurchased at the new 10,000 peso lower price.
You could put Vulcaseal or other water sealant to those mounting bolts to protect them from salty weather and probably slow down the rusting/ oxidation process. Nice setup there! I love combining technology with nature so one of my ultimate dream is to live in self-sufficient off-grid home in a vast wilderness, along the river, or in an island like that by the seashore.
we use rope amd its all good until it rains.
he needs to steel brush those rust first before applying
Got mine for my location in Guimaras, it's my backup as our fiber is easily disrupted by storms and falling trees as we are 300 meters away from the main road. We used to have a satellite service as it was the only thing available at the time we moved, which was php8.5k for only 35Mbps/down 5Mbps/up and a data cap of 500Gb lol, eventually we got our Starlink + Fiber 700Mbps and having both was still cheaper! I believe the upload speed is limited to a max of 25Mbps because of the hardware, as experienced by my previous satellite setup it is definitely hardware-related described to me by the operators, thought at 25Mbps it's still great for calls.
Cheers Poppy 🐾 🎵
Get an UPS, uninterruptible power supply, a generator and generator box so it stays quiet for neighbors.
Since you're pretty much off the grid, I don't see any downsides in investing in a Tesla powerwall as well. The UPS can only keep a couple of devices running for a short amount of time, since it's made for PCs so you don't lose or corrupt your data...
Tesla is pretty much selling products that can help people live more comfortably in a remote areas. Solar roofs, power wall, electric cars, then there's Starlink, which is also owned by Elon... Pretty much takes out electricity and internet out of the equation. Now you just need to think about food and water.
add a mesh system to cover the whole house
I live nearby and this is excellent information as I have these questions as well. Thank you!
we need to join play lotto so that we can build a 100 feet wifi tower
Just to correct you opinion, latency in satellite is not about the amount of satellite, its the distace between satellite and the earth! The farther the satellite, the higher the latency. Since Starlink is in low orbit, the distance is shorter, latency is lower.
your rusting problem would be easily fix just make it to custome stainless mount and bolts
Next time use stainless steel bolts are screws for mounting.
Nice review for Star Link. 🎉🎉
Great video. Makes me wanna go ahead and move to baler now. Does it work if you bring the whole equipment outdoors or in a different location?
Watching your videos again about starlink made me search on their website... only to get reminded that I don't have money lmao
How much is monthly cost?
Where can we find the 19k starlink? It's 28k on the website
I use a UPS with my starlink
Pls need more details how to order starlink, how much is it and how much monthly subscription. And does it affect the internet connection/signal during rainy season/raining day?
...can you talk more about the Starlink subscription, how you recieve hardware in Siargao?
What Solar are you using, Really have to have both,
Hello sir,gudam..sir,may I ask the link of the starlink? Planning to purchase
You mentioned that it can be purchased with a discount? Where and how? And is it legit? I appreciate your reply.
Can you do online games does it work perfectly fine
how much you pay for rent ? just curious
how long it takes to be delivered in siargao from US?
i thougth your leaving phillipines soon and planning to go in japan?
Love to watch your vlogs.. but can't afford to pay 75pesos every month for the membership
I've heard monthly works out to be about $48.00 a month.
Can you speak to this? I've heard Starlink is working on cell phone connection to satellite?
Yes, Php 2,700 for monthly service fee.
hello sir: im interested for that starlink can you give the link or website so i can order to, im from subic region 3. thank you
How much monthly bill?
Where I can buy the legit starlink?
Do you need to pay Monthly for the Internet sir?
Jay what I will suggest is that you purchase a dedicated UPS intended only for the Starlink modem. So that in a span of millisecond the power will not be disconnected and restarting the modem will not happen. Also it will protect the circuit from sudden surge of voltage.
How much does it cost per month?
Waited a bit after watching your Starlink purchase then bought one. Expensive but worth it. Less hassle from grumbled sounds when making phonecalls. We covered the bolts with sealant to protect from rusting. Took only 5 days to arrive by DHL to Batangas from USA. Happy with Starlink - thank you Ellon Musk for entering the Philippines.
How much is the average MBPS?
Where in batangas are you bro? I'm from lipa and thinking of going for Starlink
How much is the monthly subscription?
@@romella_karmey230mbps average
@@jamesangelopatac8215there different categories of billing.
the lowest price is at 2,700php per month.
Watching this, while being in Siargao (in General Luna) via Starlink of the Airbnb. Thank you for the impressions and all the videos, we came found Siargao because of the surf and found your channel on the way.
It really is an amazing island, we really don't want to leave
I used Stainless steel bolts, washers, and nuts and it solves the rust issue. I also have zero issues with rain and stormy/cloudy days as it maintained full speed
Something to add, we purchased starlink but didn't have a place to set it up (sitting in Cebu City) so we canceled our service. we were able to get it re-established within an hour once we found a house outside of the city, so if people are coming over here for a few months at a time they could buy the system and cancel it when they leave then just get it going again once they are back.
Dude, have you ever tried it in the city? Im from central cebu, so I was wondering if it works well in the city.
When we scanned with the app it basically laughed at us saying no way. If you have roof access and no tall buildings or trees around then it should work great. but if you are in a condo or don't have a full sky view its not possible.@@justleanonme77
You're living my dream dude. I wish to have a family too and live off grid with solar power and just be away from city and have quiet and peaceful life. Wish you and your family the best.
Im hearing a lot of people really transitioning to starlink. It’s just super expensive but I guess worth it 🙂
In the province or islands it’s definitely worth it. For us it works out cheaper.
Even if you share one dish kit and monthly cost with a next door neighbor you will get fast speeds with Unli data.

What about when theres a typhoon or heavy rain?
@@benjaminlim3921 hopefully that question will not be answered.
To expensive
Does poppy have an Onlydogs account? I want to subscribe 😂
She has one , UA-cam.com/@PoppyLoveAspinDog
HAHAHA aso ka bhie
She has an Alias onliiiinnnnneeee
Poppy listens carefully he is so cute. Thank you for this video .
With the discount/promotion they did. Their website has been having problems perhaps with the volume of people getting it. It was good you purchased it earlier.
We'll really miss the Phillipines when you travel elsewhere. I hope your daughter will enjoy your travels as much as you do.
Poppy behaved really well for that shoot haha, so cute.
😊😊
How much you pay monthly?
Should've oiled the bolts and put large clumps of silicone gel on each bolt. 😉
you should change your bolts to a stainless ones to avoid corrosion and paint them with island primer red lead. The metal will last for a very long time, proven and tested. But before painting the dish stand clean it properly with a sandpaper or rust remover
Proven and what now?
😂
@@JeyC_ do you know whats typo error?
When those satellites get old it’s going to be raining metal on earth.
looks like cable near Dish is in tension -- need a loop near it tied to base
I’ll look into it
We have starlink and have had it for a couple of years now. Well worth it for rural living!
one of my relatives is a harbormaster for a dock in Florida. Tells me almost ALL yachts and boats have Starlink. There's a running joke that even Elon Musk's enemy, Jeff Bezos has Starlink on his yacht.
I have that problem in my home losing signals when I go to my bedroom. I bought a google mesh, and I have a signal everywhere in my house. I used to use an extender but it doesn't seem to work here in my house in Maryland
In a house your size I would install ethernet and additional WiFi antennas.
Thank you so much!
I appreciate your honest review in Starlink.
God bless your family 🙏❤️
So sad hearing you spend bigger before the discount, but I am glad it's getting cheaper for everyone desperate for internet especially in the far flung islands. Starlink is better with VPN and solar power, and it is essential especially for typhoon-related news. The downside is that you need a debit card in order to pay monthly charges. Story will never be sorry reading new children's books digitally.
How were you able to get a subscription setup? We're on our 2nd day of trying to get a subscription and it's getting an error every single time.
have you tried checking the speed with VPN enabled?
First world probl...WAIT! Third world problems! :D
Good for a faster internet connectivity especially in remote area. I am now thinking about our local digital companies such as globe and smart. How could they compete with starlink?
Hows your valorant ping?
Is it true that if you opt for the Residential plan, you can still use it in different locations as long as it's stationary and within the country? Also can you cancel your subscription, effectively pausing it and reactivate it anytime?
Puppy needs his own segment now!
where did you by the UPS please, I just bought a starlink here in California and planning to bring it to Bicol on April 10. Is there gonna be a problem like power voltage and subscription plan if I bring it home in the Philippines?
if you have electronic gadgets, a UPS (for pc, cp, tablet, routers) or an AVR (fridge, TV, stereos, etc) is a must for areas where power regularly fluctuates.
May i ask which city has the most accessible free beaches? Was thinking of going to cebu because was told theu had alot of beaches but 4 hours away?! Lol i hope to hear your inputs.
Another youtuber mentioned that it has a recurring charge/fee... So im kind of confused? So aside from the activation and the device charges, do you still have a monthly recurring fee every month??
out of topic, How much is the rent in your house? I really want to have a view like that too.
Get a Wifi 6 router. It can break through thick concrete walls much better.
Where did you purchase your starlink hardware? Can you send a link? I'm looking for the 19k php but can't find it. Thank you 😊
Not giving Elon any money. Its an overpriced crap if you ask me. The best cheap internet is done by your local munical. Here in the states, the fastest and cheapest internet is from a small city in Chattanooga, TN. Lots of tech industries are moving there coz of the high speed internet.
Its a shame that star link dont provide at least one ethernet port on the router, that would open the system for a wired network via a switch, also if you have an upper level to your property the router would benefit from the height unless you have concrete floors.
where can I find the 19k price??? please tell me coz globe and pldt really sucks.
Solar powered house + Starlink Internet is too much if you live in siargao
boss can you tell me how slow the internet during cloudy days or rainy days?
If you put Solar in without a power pack you didn't use that brain God gave you.
Mine got delayed with delivery its suppose to be there when i was there so its stuck at home in box 😂
do you use Google Drive?
how long does it take to upload 10gb of a single video file?
The monthly subscription, does it come with a contract? Can we turn it on/off anytime?
i think using it as it is as commercial use is not a good idea, they are very strict about TORRENT and possibly ban you account.
where would we buy starlink for low discounted price of 19thousand? can i see there low price in there website?
Planning to move there as well. Is your child homeschooled?
What if I move it around 500 meters from my original home? Will it still work? Or is it mobile
If you're within 30 days of a sale, they will credit you the difference.
old school satellite would be geostationary , this would mean the distance from your house and the satellite it connects to is extremely far away, and starlink is low earth orbit thus able to lower latency, and the new starlink v2 satellite has "space lasers" allowing satellites to connect to each other via lasers also increasing its capability
Just use a UPS for tha power problem....to avoid the interruptions....
Fiber networks are more reliable and much faster than Starlink's satellite network.
Whats your ping/latency to servers in the USA or Europe?
I’m moving out there in April from the US - would it cost more to order here and take it with me or better to order when I’m there?
I would wait until you are here and order your equipment. It doesn't take long to arrive. Do you have a property here already in the Philippines ?
not yet - going to rent a few months then buy/build. thanks for the tip, makes sense!@@puckster61554
hello, how much is your monthly subscription? thank you!
Where I can buy starlink kit in the Philippines? Thanks.
thank you for that honest review sir, God blessed you
Can i get the link of the starlink? To avoid me getting scammed. Thanks
Is your daughter studying in Philippine school?
OK 7 month later how you liking starlink?
Sir were did you buy your starting kit can,you link the store thank you
Can you do speed test during heavy rain🥺
i think elon ever said that the more people starlink buy the lower the price will go.
Sometimes they have promo and starlink would go to around P8K,
