always remove the sink first if possible. when you’re installing a faucet for the first time, make sure to install the faucet first

If you go to Home Depot to get these tools. That Rigid basin wrench is definitely worth the price. I know it’s more expensive but legit I’ve seen coworkers get the cheap ones and the buy multiple and I’ve had the rigid one goin on 8 years.

Just changed out my kitchen sink. Old one was top shallow and the facet was off center. First time doing anything of this nature so I quite literally went in armed with nothing but information gleaned from youtube videos and plumbing forums. Stopped by home depot after I managed to get the old kitchen sink up. One of the tools I grabbed on a whim was the easy facet wrench along with PVC cutters and few other tools. When it came to the removal and install of the new facet. This silly looking tool came in clutch. I'm not small by any measure. 6 foot and 240 pounds. The space was very tight. This tool made this particular section of the install a breeze. Tightening and loosening. The gap in the middle of the tool allows the hoses to slip inside and keep it nice and tidy while you're working your way up to the nut. Pretty much the rest of the sinks and toilets have to get replaced and this tool will more than likely come in handy

The basin wrench not always fit in terms of space. In the UK we have nerrad kit and tool station kit 8r classic box spanners

I use a basin wrench a lot of times to shut off water going to the house in the water meter box. A lot more compact than carry the long water meter key doodad thingamabob.

The original rigid basin wrench was nice but the newer square one sucks, it won't fit in tight places! The kobalt on is still round and seems more sturdy.
