Ridgid Universal Faucet & Valve Wrench Review

- I think this product could be better and more useful, there is many types of fitting that are common that this will not work on, and it is huge and too bulky is many situations. Also the inserts do not fit very tightly and with just a moderate amount of use they will not stay in and fall out.
THIS tool saved the day! I am a DIY'er with average skills. I needed to replace the entire faucet set in my sink and could NOT get any leverage or strength to get those lock nuts off. My body was contorted under the sink, I was banging my knuckles, and my belly fat was exposed for the entire house to see. I was a complete mess, and unable to get the locknuts off! I became verbally abusive and psychotic towards everyone in the house. My wife eventually picked this up for me and it did the trick. I never knew something like this existed. I am now calm, happy, and an absolute joy to be around. Thank you RIGID!
HAHAHA I feel your pain. This guy doesn't seem to know how to use the tool he is reviewing.
Dude...i use this in a commercial setting with no issues. This saved my bacon a few times
As a diy'er I love this thing. It fits everything in my house. I am not a plumber so I can't say if it performs as a pro tool. I am a tradesman and the tools I use on the daily are different than the tools I use at home for honey-do's especially for jobs outside of my profession.
I agree this is the only negative report on this I’ve found lol operator error
My boss supplied all of the techs one of these, this thing works fantastic!
I've had the first gen version of this tool for over ten years. Waaay better than a standard basin wrench. they shouldn't have changed it. love your channel.
Agreed
The newer ones suck can't even take out an old tub drain without it braking
I like the fact that you showed us where the tool could be used.
Evolution my friend.
👍👍👍
And i don't know a thing about Plumbing and what options that are out there.
As a Novice thanks for the heads up and
"the tip".
Not a good tool, "if you use this tool.
That the durability is crap and will eventually fail.
See ya tomorrow Catus.
Are you going into my tool boxes? Almost all the videos you have posted lately, the tools featured are in my boxes. On another note, it fits all the faucets I have bought at Home Depot so it does work.
You've always done good to the point reviews, carry that into UA-cam shorts. Fast tool reviews 👍🏻
Wow, never seen one of these, thanks! Great review, keep'm coming.
So many different ones it won't fit my new one however it came with all the tools to install that was great.
Hello again Catus Maximus and Tiny
Thank you for another Great Video 👍
I've used this thing quite a few times and when it fits it works great one of those square sides fits shut off valve knobs. I think it's a great tool when it fits just save the piece of card board that comes in the package it explains how to use everything kinda.
I really should get better at plumbing, everytime they come out it's like 300+. But the 4 hours it took me to install a pedestal sink in my tiny bathroom, might be worth the frustration.
Ridgid tools are lifetime guaranteed so if it breaks you get it replaced free
I have this BIG CAT 🐈...never had a problem with it...
Moen intentionally makes proprietary fittings so that you have to buy a tool from them...
I had one it seemed to grow a set of legs I'll probably get another one soon I have in case I need it they are good
I think I have that model tool. It is so cumbersome to use.
Hail Tiny!
At least we heard Tiny when you were under the sink
2:10 Your cat hates this tool too!
I bought one of these 10yrs ago and never used it.
I have one or similar tool that I can't even remember where I stored the tool because of non use.
I use mine at least 1 time a week at work.
I legit have never experienced any of the bs. Pro plumber btw.
Pretty obvious this guy doesn't know how to use the tool right.
Quit dropping it dude
Tiny!!!!
cant stand that its plastic
might use it to make my own mukti tool out of copper or steel pipe
Poor review! This tool is awesome!
