Hey Robbie I totally understand de-motivation can be a killer sometimes espically on a project like this. But end you just gotta keep your head up and #staycommitted !! And even though you're putting all this into a casual project car and not a dream car, you can always finish it and sell it to a viewer or somebody to get your money back. That and at least you'll know you learned a lot in the end! Its all about the experience. Also dont worry from what I've read, including myself we all love your videos no matter what. They're all super intertaining and enjoyable to watch. Keep up the good work!
For your hood prop situation, look into "bonnet/hood strut kits". They're basically aftermarket brackets and struts that go between somewhere on your fenders and your bonnet hinges and give you gas struts holding up your bonnet rather than the stick thingie,. basically the same setup as whats on your trunk/tailgate/hatch, whatever you call it.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again; we love you dude. Keep em coming. If we don’t like your content, you’ll know. K swap looks good. LS swap looks good. New merch looks good. Keep doing big things. 😎
Listen of course we all love the end of the build, but what I think we all love more is the process to complete the build. From painting (my god so tedious) to holding on a freshly painted engine. We’re here for it all Robbie!
Hey man mad respect on everything you do! I am a 23 year old from London Ontario so you are very relatable to me and its very motivating seeing what you have accomplished! keep up the good work man!
@@MyKFloo I've lived for 21 years in France now and never heard about a tuque once, we say "bonnet" here, and I'm not talking about the tea drinking cousin of the hood
Haha is VDub boys use hybrid oil pans, upper half aluminum and lower half steel, so when it hits it dents instead of cracking, see if they have anything like that for your car. At least if it’s not cause oil pressure issues after bottoming out you can at least get it home and just replace the bottom steel part. Looking good so far!!
MPC, K Tuned, Wireworx, and Downstar will be your best friends for your swap needs Btw you should install those little struts for the hood so you can delete the regular little metal prop... it’ll look way cleaner and it’s more convenient
Maby to solve your ground clearance and directly also the oil system: go dry sump, it's way smaller and it has a bigger oil storage. And it is easier to have when making big power because it doesn't splash and you don't need a dipstick for the oil because you have a reservoir on the side.
MPC Motorsports is located near me in the US (Tennessee) they’re a great company and a bunch of great guys I’ve gotten to get to know over the years. They come to import alliance every year in Kentucky and I’ve bought a few shift knobs and things from them. Great company!
Thank you Robbie for the awesome videos! You are very wholesome and you seem to be a very good person. Don't stress about the videos everything is great!
That car in particular may not be the dream but the experience of building any car is!!! Keep your mind in the right place brother and remember building this car from the ground up will make the dream build that much better with more exp!!!
Hey robbie for the hood prop, you should snip on down to princess auto. get the compression shocks. Like for the rear hatch so it holds itself up. Clean and no prop required. 👌
To me personally, I can't remember a video you've made that I haven't enjoyed. I know you don't know me but I just feel like watching your videos is like being with a great friend, and therefore I'll always watch, no matter how "exciting" a video is. 💙
Save yourself money and time and buy a hood spacer kit for the valve cover and hood clearance. They are $10 USD, and are the easiest thing to install. Gives about an extra inch and it looks badass in my opinion. Got it on my car 😉
Idk if you will see this man but you are seriously my favorite automotive youtuber out there ive been following for a bit and you inspire me so much to just keep going at my car even though its not moving fast or anything. Thank you for all the great content and helping me stay committed
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again (even though I scored a grey hoodie)... START HAVING LATER DROPS OR MORE STOCK FOR THE PEOPLE AT WORK! Stay committed bro
Take it easy and don't rush it man, we enjoy these videos and I don't care if it takes you a million years as long as you put work on it every day. Stay Commited!
Here in the south we call the folded beanie (your toque) toboggans sometimes. Though I've been told that's what some people call a sled in other places.
Love watching these vids, especially when i cant tinker with stuff on my car, always makes me wanna do something cool (like painting the powertrain parts like Robbie did).
I'm honestly just glad you're back on a regular upload schedule. Very curious what the end goal is with this build. Like what'll it be used for? Will you do some serious interior upgrades? Like steering wheel, seats, dash with gauges etc. I like what you're doing and it's super clean, but like, for what?
I highly recomend hood struts for your hood prop delete haha. I put some sus tech hood struts on my eg sedan and they are the best mod I've done so far!!! So easy to install and so nice to have. Thanks for listening to my TED Talk
robbie since you're already replacing them bushings on the drivers side, and you're in generally putting new stuff into the car, consider replacing the bushings on the passenger side and even in the rear
What's up Robbie, I loved the video as always! I'm kind of worried about that oil pan. K swap are known to have that problem, so people usualy get a shorter one AND a skid plate. You should also try to put different hinge on your hood so it raise the top a little. That could allow you to move the engine a little bit higher Sorry about my sucky english, cheers from Quebec and take care man !!
I have an idea so Evan shanks r 33 has a purple turbine in his turbo and what I was thinking was that you could get yours to be red and match the valve cover
Ooh boy, it's -25°c outside, just started preparing going to a warm bed and get some sleep, but nahh, better stay up a little longer and check the new video! #committedcrew
I've seen a few civic with "hood risers"(i don't know if that's what they're called). But I know they go at the windshield end of the hood and it raises it a bit
Bro you should drop a “Robbie’s garage tunes” playlist on Spotify so we can listen on what songs you vibe to while working on your cars!👍
Yes
i second this motion
Its gotta be done
Yes pleaseee
Yes! Agreed 👍🏼
Dude don’t worry about how fast you can finish a build we enjoy seeing the process

Port that intake manifold before bolting her on for good... doesn't take long

It's the return of "The Reds Don't Match".

Watching this build is really inspiring me to find a junker civic and doing a full restoration on it

For us French a Toque is the headwear of chefs in restaurants so it made even less sense to me
He wrote toque but he mean tuque, which is a french word 😂
For other french a toque is a *tuque* that is a beanie
@@spin2450 Yeah but it's Canadian French, hence why I didn't know about it. But hey, you learn something new everyday

Great build! Black is tough to see fluid leaks, so frequently check once you’re all set and running.
Bro this build is sick. Turned out to be a much better series because u did all the extra meticulous work. Keep at it
I would like to start a petition for one video a week dedicated to the puppy
I support this
what kind of dog is she??
@@culleybayless9835 i think she is an australian shepherd
The RBC is basically the best you can get for the price. High horsepower guys still run stock mani and throttle body. Good choice!
Love that glitching overlay during the drum solo! Nice touch!
You can get hood risers and then as for the hood prop there's kits to get the shocks ....also just get adjustable upper control arms
Thank you Robbie for the awesome videos! You are very wholesome and you seem to be a very good person. Don't stress about the videos everything is great!
thnaks to you! watching you helps me so much with small stuff on my car!!

I love the paint choices! that extra bit of silver will help the lower part of the engine bay not just look like a dark void.
Love the attention to detail on this build. It has me super tuned in
I'm not normally a fan of civics, 4 bangers, or fwd. BUT, this is clean, and I respect that.

You should do hydrolic hood struts
I’m Canadian so I could understand properly but kinda funny 😂

That black engine and transmission is beyond mint!!!
Keep it up Robbie it will be worth it in the end when that thing is rolling down the road!!
In the yellow honda what’s the headlights? What are the white lights you put instead of the yellow ones?
This is way better content then exotic builds..enjoying every minute of this series

Who else think Robbie has the best content out there
Me
I love this civic so much. Getting mine tomorrow going to build it up nice.
Instead of lowering the engine Robbie it’s a little iffy but you can add hood risers just a thought I have them on my k swap.
Great video as always, can’t wait to see this civic done!!
I'm from the States and I'm 100% calling it a toque from now on. :D
I agree. You deserve a PBR ❤️
Cars looking great can't wait to see it finished and making pulls.
Would gutting (cutting away the inside) of the hood keep it from hitting the valve cover? If not maybe see if hood spacers would work
Some red aftermarket upper and lower arms? Give your better alignment adjustable too.
Put hood spacers it should fit after that and yeah I agree should get a diff oil pan but this build is wild can’t wait for the turbo kit
I have an idea so Evan shanks r 33 has a purple turbine in his turbo and what I was thinking was that you could get yours to be red and match the valve cover

Do a dress up hardware kit please for the engine bay will make the difference! For the hood prop just so hydraulic ones!
Good spacers or few washers under each bolt at the hood mounting
rbc is the best oem manifold tbh lol you can port it too for more power
In Portuguese a Toque is something you would wear at an indoor pool to cover your hair when swimming
I'm enjoying the k swap process 😎
If anything you can use hood risers so you don’t have to swap oil pans... lot of honda guys use those in swaps
Robbie maybe do a 5 lug conversion on the civic, it will open up a larger variety of wheel options and bigger brake options 😉
Easy puppies are the best. My 1 yo puppy we got from like a farm and she never once had an accident in the house
I've seen a few civic with "hood risers"(i don't know if that's what they're called). But I know they go at the windshield end of the hood and it raises it a bit
That wouldn't be "Ricer" it jus helps wit clearance and keeps the motor a bit cooler 👍
Edit: My bad I thought you said ricer 😂😂 thas my bad
Dude I love this project don’t stop bro
Bro stay Committed because the boys are loving the content! Trust the process 🔥
Yup rbc best stock k series mani
Love these videos so much, always the best way to end a day!
We also Say tuck for a beanie in poland, or czapka and mycka and it comes from the german Mütze
Try to get a set of Password JDM hood risers and see if that fixes the fitment issue!
Lol no worries, RBC is pretty great for what you're building
You could do what Mitsubishi did with the 3000GT/GTO and have a "power buldge" where you don't have enough hood clearance
A toque has a fold a beanie doesnt that's what I was taught at least in America
the videos are very entertaining to me, just keep doing what youre doing :)
Lookin super good so far man, keep it up
Bro i love the videos of just you don’t worry about that. I feel you on it not being your dream car but the content is still dope!!
Love the video man keep going and stay committed
you are gonna need 36mm karcept hubs so don't bolt everything down completely unless you k series hubs and change the end of the to a gsr
I literally crave your videos 😭😭❤❤❤❤
This is my dream car so I am living vicariously though you. Thank You
Do a dry sump oil system, have the oil can in the passenger side like papadakis has in is drift Carolla
Yeeeees another video
Get some hood spacers, it will clear the engine and do the job!
get some gas struts for the hood itll look clean cause there wont be a stick sticking up
You can get a shallower oil pan with a new oil pump and pickup, pretty sure ktuned do a kit?
Hey Robbie! How tall is your ceiling and what kind of lift do you have? Thanks in advance!
That engine bay looks so nice. Anyone know what size shop that is? Did I miss it in another episode?
U could've bought all new arms for around 600 for the front but the content is fun I like watching a car being rebuilt
