I remember watching this story on tv. The joy on the boys face at hearing his mothers voice is beautiful. It is an amazing story and an amazing scientific development. As a society we should be thankful that there are people who dedicate their lives to helping others.

This brought tears to my eyes. Having gone through this with my son when he was 2 years old, it just brought back so many memories. After being able to hear he quickly learned to speak, and the first time he called me MAMA I balled my eyes out. This is wonderful. Science is amazing.
I love seeing videos like these, seeing kids this young doing/seeing/hearing things for the first time reminds me of when I raised my little brother for a year. He just turned 2 last December. I love kids, they have a way of making you happy when ever they're happy. Hopefully I'll have one of my own some day. Best wishes to you and your child
This is awesome. I was born with bilateral nerve deafness so this hits home. I never had implants but had hearing aids. Hearing is something many people take for granted. Cooper was so happy in this video. I'm glad he can hear now :)
