It warms my heart to pieces . love you guys and happy holidays , I hope you get to feeling better 100% xoxo, chokota
Hey Trent, just some info on St. Elmo as I was there frequently growing up. The town is made up of private property, but it's not all under one owner. Most of the "abandoned" homes you see are privately owned residences that are usually used as vacation homes/rentals during the summer. As far as them being boarded up that is part of the winterization process as the snow can get deep enough up there to cover the windows. Some of the historic buildings have been restored and some have not. The school house has been restored and is open to the public during the summertime.
I like the idea of you and Millie being safer but would like it to look more like yours inside. If you could still keep that cozy vibe that would be fun.
I work on a ship in the US Coast Guard. It gets hard to do sometimes, but your videos bring some joy and comfort. I will watch them underway and then watch them again with my wife when I get home. Love your energy. Keep up the great work.
I think a 4x4 Van is definitely the way to go. More stealth easier to park anywhere, you can just walk to the front and drive. I know your issues with showers are space related but having one in a fix can be a huge deal. You should look into some of those incredible fold out shower designs that take up no extra room
the main issue i see with van showers is the limited water supply, the only way id see it being doable is having a recirculating shower, not only to save on propaine but also water, its always been a goal of mine to do one in my RV but 108 gallons of fresh water renders that basically useless

Honestly just needs to get chains for the tires if hes gunna be driving in the snow like that lol even with a 4x4 would want them cuz of the extra weight makin it easy to get stuck
im a big fan of having a shower/toilet area in vans. Having a warm shower inside your van during a chilly night is just such a luxury, and being able to go to the toilet indoors is just nice during those off nights you need to piss more than usual. Definitely would like to see your next build be a truck camper, altho it might be less stealthy than in a van. Depends which you prioritize more I guess.
For real. I’ve had a dedicated shower space in my last two rigs and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It doesn’t have to be complicated either, just a Joolca or Kakadu instant hot water heater that pulls water from a 5 gallon jug is all you need.

@@aaron-AJ92 He just should use his beautiful van until it dies. $400k is too much. Hope he sees our comment. This truck looks garbage comparing to his van.
@@sdovhfunlahsvisegbakshfjbs4621 You could have one hell of a van for half that, then have another 200k to live on for a few years. Pretty sure there are some all wheel drive options at least. Nah, maybe for rich people to go hunting in or something, but not to live in.
I think you should stick with a van, just make it a 4 x 4. A truck camper will never be stealthy, it sits a lot higher and you will have to pay more attention to limbs and even some old bridges. Personally, I think the layout of your current van is the best I’ve seen, the areas you have, bedroom where you can sit up, a nice closet and drawers, Millie’s room, a spacious kitchen with a nice sink, gas stove and oven, a spacious desk with the hidden commode. You can always add the upgrades you mentioned. As far as heat, you might want to consider radiant hydronic heated floors which more efficiently heats the space, rather than just blowing air. Of course you can add the latest and greatest tech which is what I think you are looking for. Dream big and enjoy! Hope you and Millie have a very Merry Christmas 🎄and a Happy New Year!
Trent, I appreciate your cozy videos man. You helped me get through some rough times when I was separated from my wife for 22 months. Thank you for all the work you put into these videos. You are the man.
When I saw this truck I immediately knew it’s too modern and gives hospital vibes from the design. I love the design of your old van, it’s unique and cozy
What makes Trents videos just work. 1. Trent and Millie. Great guy and his loving adorable best friend traveling together and just living a simple life in this incredible country; what can be more wholesome than that! 2. Incredible audio and video and cinematography. From the drone shots, the setup shots of the Van driving into its location, to the montage of the morning ritual with the ASMR-like incredible audio; the familiar sounds we all know of the coffee pot on the stove, and the sound of that first pour of joe into the mug, and walks through nature, are so incredibly well done and spectacularly beautiful. It really is like watching a high quality professionally shot documentary or short film and your editing is well; 3. Music choices are always SO ON POINT! As a person who studied and loves music and as kid aspired to be the next John Williams or Howard Shore, I really appreciate a music track that fits the scene like a glove! Your choice of mostly acoustic new folk Americana music is so perfectly fitting. I also like the occasional times where you play the guitar and that is used for your track, and it shows that you chose that style of music because its also what you tend to play :) I can tell you have some skill with the Axe, so props! Would love to see you play it more! Watching your videos is just a soul enriching experience just for the music alone! 4. That Van: its ICONIC, or at least the design you put into it and your brand description of "Cozy" is really the perfect way to describe it, and you. If you do get a new rig, I'm super glad you mentioned in this video, you would make it your own and make it feel more nature inspired with more dark wood tones and softer light like your current design. Congrats on 1M subs Trent, and LOVING the new brand to Trent The Traveler. And whoever designed the new Logo; a cool 3d looking 3 "T" 's in a bent cool geometrically symmetrical shape deserves a bonus. If you did it Trent, new skill unlocked (gamer lingo ;) ). lol. Its perfect!
Suggestion for next build Don't throw away the old van just add a rocket booster behind it and some spike monster truck tires and thats it( maybe some wings too)
Yay for One Million subscribers!! WOO HOO 🎉🙌 Well earned & deserved Trent! Love your adventures, footage, music, Mills & more! Glad you’re feeling better! Stay warm & cozy, cozy, cozy! I vote for a 4x4 Van! 🥰🫶✨❄️🚐🔥💜
I know for a fact that high-bottom campers can be a nightmare during a heavy winter storm. Here's a little tip if you ever get one: face the vehicle into the wind, place bushes or fir branches under the front wheels, and drive over them to keep them from blowing away. You'll thank me later! :-)
for a $400,000 truck I still feel like the layout of your van is perfect. I would 100 percent prefer your van over this. I may just need an all-wheel drive van if I had to change anything.
I totally concur ... best of both worlds .. and you can get companies to really up and customise your van to almost 4x4 style ... Ive seen a few Van life youtubers with a Mercedez Van .. and its brilliant and he goes off roading a lot .
yeah even barring the price I think as a place you are permanently living a van is a better call unless you are going to spend 90% of your time out in the back country/camping taking that truck into the city would be horrible it's several feet longer than the longest van options you can get meaning things like parking and driving in traffic will be a constant challenge, it sticks out like a sore thumb so no chance of being able to stealth camp anywhere in town if I was going to go with anything that size to build out as something to live in I'd go for a converted school bus a short bus is about the same size but going to give you a lot more usable inside space since you don't have the big passenger cabin taking up room
Except his van can’t travel to anywhere where there’s snow/mud. How much fun is that? Stay in arizona the entire time so you don’t get stuck. His van is no better than anyone else’s on the internet.
Your van is so much nicer inside. I know you would put your special touch on your own build. It seems like a really good vehicle to go off-roading with. It doesn't seem as roomy inside as your van. Also I don't like the idea that you can't access the cab of the truck. In case you had to get away for some reason. You wouldn't want to be locked in the back without having that access. That's from a woman's point of view I guess. LOL Your van has so much more cozy vibes.😌 You just made a burrito bowl? It looks like a chefs meal!❤
I love the idea of a 4X4 van but the truck would be awesome for some overlanding type videos. I 100% agree the interior on this one is just too modern. What I love most about yours is the bedroom area feels separate due to the wall and you are right the cozy vibe is just homey and comfortable looking. Can’t wait to see what you choose to do.
Hi Trent & Millie 👋💞 The new truck yr driving, my opinion is I don't think it suits you, whereas like others have stated, a 4x4 van with your own style would be great as seeing you plow straight through the snow was excellent 👍 The abandoned town was quite cool, I just love watching Millie walk through the snow 💞❄️❄️❄️ xxx
happy new year! this is my first stumble upon your channel and really dig it (btw that Rossmönster rig suits you, less the interior as you noted) look forward to seeing your adventure on the next camper build
@@swiggl I think it's an original audio. The only thing I'm finding is some link to an AptiveSales instagram post from November 13. Unfortunately, it doesn't tell me the artist or song name. Sorry I couldn't find more. 🥲
In my honest opinion, a 4x4 van would be awesome. Super easy to get into the living area from the drivers seat, all one height, easy to get in and out of the bed. I feel like the van accommodates Millie more, too.
You should definitely get a truck camper! Honestly, the new style does suit you. And, while you may not agree with having a shower in it, I think it would definitely come in handy for you so you don’t have to worry about when you need to have a shower next. But also it seemed much more compatible and drivable so you don’t have to worry about getting stuck in the snow like before. Edit: Also, Trent, have you heard of the Danvers State Hospital? It’s one of the most oldest mental hospitals that treated mental ill patients, and was the birth place for the lobotomies. And was the inspiration for H.P. Lovecraft’s Arkham Sanatorium, and also the inspiration for Batman’s Arkham Asylum!
I really enjoy your content man, it relaxes me. I daydream about the Rossmonsters camper rigs, in my opinion that’s the ultimate! Your van is my favorite layout too btw, especially the desk and the section for Mills. Another great video and I hope you enjoyed your trip!
Dude do a truck camper with your cozy design!! As a Jeep guy I know there are so many places you can go that are not accessible with normal vehicles!! You can explore way more and IMHO that would totally fit with your adventurous side PLUS your cozy side. I would totally dig this. And you have content for YEARS! But yeah... that's me.
I see lots of complaining and seen one that said they almost didn't click because the price of the truck😂. Well he's the one that paid for it with the video you clicked on and he's enjoying himself so i rather watch the homie enjoying himself with Millie and good vibes AND in any vehicle he chooses. Great vid, Trent😎👍
Just found your channel. At first I thought this might be boring but man was I wrong. I really like your personality, and it feels like spending time with a friend when watching you vids.
As some of the others have mentioned, a 4x4 van is definitely the way to go but I'm biased, I've never been keen on the camper trucks and you are absolutely right. This feels too of a modern look. I like the vibe of your van interior. I also like technology so a future build for you could be a 4x4 van, maybe a smidgen larger (not too much larger), better heater and you could still have the modernized controls for the lighting and such but overlay the UI with something that fits your feel. That's my 2 cents anyways.
I noticed Millie was favoring her hip a bit on that first night. Truck was ok but I really like the set up in your van. The areas for Millie are so important. Like your setup for internet and online. Van looks like your home. Happy Anniversary. I’ve been watching for over a year.
As a fellow Trent, your videos really help me relax and turn my brain off. I wish I had the amount of peace you and baby Millie have. Keep doing you brother.
Regardless of truck or van, we're excited to see a new rig that you'd work on. I think you and the pupper deserve a new and better and bigger space, all with that classic Trent rustic cabin-ny cozy vibes. Because cozyness is what defines your videos. Definitely 4×4 too so you could explore with more ease.
Look into outdoor showers. I have one and its the size of a shoebox. Just in case you're needing to hose off when there is no public option. We use it at beech camps to hose sand off our feets.
You need a truck that can conquer snow and not get stuck during winter time. I think you could use a Ram truck with a huge camper with more room. This one was nice and modern, but I think you need a little more space for your style of living. Millie needs room as well. I think it comes down to how you build it from scratch and knowing what you want in a truck. I also think a shower is needed in the truck. Things can happen and you cant make it to the showers you visit on your travels. Having one in the truck saves time and money. That is my 10 cents :) x
i feel so sad that you were unwell. but I'm glad the sleep helped. when I feel like that, a Lemsip sachet in hot water is the key for me. and spicy food if your tummy feels okay. but most importantly, hydration!! keep healthy, trent. your videos are a great comfort for so many ❤
If you're going to build a truck camper, please make it look like your current camper van. The looks of your camper van is so cozy and that is your identity.
There is always a difference between what you build and what is in pre built I think you should build your own van undesigned according to yourself while having the same luxury as the Ross monster
Man i feel so sad and empty when your videos end, its like I’m not only watching them rather i am living them with you. And when you conclude the video it feels like you have ended a beautiful dream.
My friend, do not succumb to a - clearly damaging - parasocial relationship for you. Make sure to live your life and fufil your own goals. Do not live it through others. Find your happiness by building the best version of yourself. You got this.
My only concern with an obvious looking camper van, is that it wouldn't be as easy to stealth camp in cities if you need to. People will obviously know that you are camping. Definitely agree with upgrading the wheels tho for easier driving and not getting stuck in so many places. You can probs also still add a mini electrical heater too.
I hope you’re feeling better! I think you should do a 4x4 van build personally, like you said it’s what you know. And it’s cozy! I love the wood accents in your van, it’s warm and inviting and it suits you. Much love to you and Millie from Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦 ❤
Anyone manage to identify the song 'round 3:15? Shazam and a lyric search have both given me squat. I enjoy Trent's videos immensely, and I know the service he uses to grab audio for them, but damn if it doesn't make tracking some of them down a challenge when they're not listed anywhere.
As soon as I noticed your Millie sweatshirt, I got on to the comments to tell you how much I love it and as I was doing it, I found out it’s your merch. Excellent I’ll have to get me one.
At the risk of sounding like a total weirdo I just want to say my dude, you truly exude goodness. You are a genuinely nice human. Thanks for sharing your adventures. 💫 And on this camper truck, it is VERY cool with so many amenities but, like you, I prefer something much less sterile. I’ve always imagined I’d deck something out more like an old gypsy wagon. 🔮 In my humble opinion that nobody asked for, I gotta say… I like your van interior better. But this camper is still incredible.
You make me miss my dog, I buried her a couple years back. Never went 18 years without her by my side. She burrowed in blankets like Mills. Great rig but it's too sterile. Yours has GADS more character! Happy Travels, thanks for the excellent landscapes !
A HUGE Congrats on this major milestone of 1 million subscribers Trent. I've been with you since the start and i'll be here till the very bitter end! Tons of love from Denmark!
Holy, ive been subscribed for over a year and the production quality improvement is actually insane, everything to the drone shots to the overall aesthetic of it. Keep it up man, im so happy so see that your channel has grown so big
Thoroughly love seeing every version of this rig reviewed. When you find folks who go on deeper and much more interesting adventures, I find that the reviews also reflect that energy and depth. This has the ceiling of a guy living in his mother's basement feeding his rabbit and playing video games who stays at his 1st 5 star hotel doing the same.
What do you guys think? Should I do a truck camper for my next build?
Hell yeah
Maybe look into old vintage campers, & restore it with all the original vintage components. Something from the 50s maybe ?
Or, convert a school bus.
Yea go with a dodge not a ford

@@swiggl I think it's an original audio. The only thing I'm finding is some link to an AptiveSales instagram post from November 13. Unfortunately, it doesn't tell me the artist or song name. Sorry I couldn't find more. 🥲
Like the layout of your Van better, you just need to get the Bigger wheels so you don't get stuck in the snow a Heater and Microwave and you're set!
In my honest opinion, a 4x4 van would be awesome. Super easy to get into the living area from the drivers seat, all one height, easy to get in and out of the bed. I feel like the van accommodates Millie more, too.
I am with you all the way.
yea more space esp if you get a hieght one as well they are a lot more cozy then some truck builds
some really do kill the trucking rig game but vans you can really show your personality in
You should definitely get a truck camper!
Congratulations 🎉🎉 1 MILLION SUBS❤❤🎉🎉
If you don't want the bathroom. do a 4x4 van. it's easier to stealth camp and you'll have the headroom for the bed.
a new trent video! my day is made, love your energy so much!
The truck is more hi-tech and utilitarian, but your van's interior is more homely and rustic.
Millie is the best dog ever! Yes I think you would be happy in a truck you build with your finished coziness!!!
Yours says 'home' , this one says 'just visiting ' !
I’m only 10 minutes into this and I already miss your van. Haha 😆 I think I’m emotionally attached to your van.
I agree. The van is much more cozy!!
400,000 wow
Your content and glorious attitude are appreciated. Thanks for making good stuff.
Awesome video. Always love how Trent makes you feel like you’re right there with him. Good job bud!
Congratulations Trent you and millie hitting 1 million subscribers!!
We love you're awesome videos. LIKE THE VAN BETTER.🎄🎄 Have a great Christmas you two.🎄🎄🎄🎉
dash cam is a must these days.
Look into outdoor showers. I have one and its the size of a shoebox. Just in case you're needing to hose off when there is no public option. We use it at beech camps to hose sand off our feets.
Congratulations on 1M Trent!! You absolutely deserve it
You need a truck that can conquer snow and not get stuck during winter time.
4x4 for sure. Your current rig has way more soul!
late night studying for the final push of my exams before Christmas break! a new upload makes this grind so much better!
Good luck
Same man
SAME HERE
Congrats on 1 mil subs! I enjoy all your videos, u deserve this success. So Cozy vibes here! Keep it up!!
i feel so sad that you were unwell. but I'm glad the sleep helped. when I feel like that, a Lemsip sachet in hot water is the key for me. and spicy food if your tummy feels okay. but most importantly, hydration!! keep healthy, trent. your videos are a great comfort for so many ❤
If you're going to build a truck camper, please make it look like your current camper van. The looks of your camper van is so cozy and that is your identity.
There is always a difference between what you build and what is in pre built I think you should build your own van undesigned according to yourself while having the same luxury as the Ross monster
Your van inside is so beautiful! I think you that crew cab is a waste of space so a 4x4 van with your woodworking touches would be perfect!
1m subss congrats!, more vids to come!
20:39 The comet in the sky at the back dude🤩🙌
Thats a plane 😂
I'd go with a 4WD van because there's more space to make it homey.
I hope you’re feeling better! I think you should do a 4x4 van build personally, like you said it’s what you know. And it’s cozy! I love the wood accents in your van, it’s warm and inviting and it suits you. Much love to you and Millie from Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦 ❤
hope you and millie loved the mountains!! Love it here
Like your van way better!
20:48 have you ever really forgot to take your camera with you after doing this kind of scene?😂
Anyone manage to identify the song 'round 3:15? Shazam and a lyric search have both given me squat. I enjoy Trent's videos immensely, and I know the service he uses to grab audio for them, but damn if it doesn't make tracking some of them down a challenge when they're not listed anywhere.
fr i cant find it anywhere
same here, all I'm getting is Instagram reels with the song in the background when i search the lyrics. its a shame because its a great song!
Congrats on 1 mill Trent keep the awesome vids coming
As soon as I noticed your Millie sweatshirt, I got on to the comments to tell you how much I love it and as I was doing it, I found out it’s your merch. Excellent I’ll have to get me one.
your Van is waaaaaaay better
I need a link to the Into the Wilds song at 3:30 i cant find it anywhere! Please help 😢
Me too!!!😢
Yea me too it was so catchy. I tried Shazamming it, no bueno lol
Day 2, still no luck. Wont stop searching. @TrentTheTraveler if you see this man, help a brother out! 🙏
Looking as well @@jennyher7903
Yeah
Can't find it too
At the risk of sounding like a total weirdo I just want to say my dude, you truly exude goodness. You are a genuinely nice human. Thanks for sharing your adventures. 💫
And on this camper truck, it is VERY cool with so many amenities but, like you, I prefer something much less sterile.
1 million 🎉🎉🎉
I’m happy for you❤❤
Finaly new cozy video!
A HUGE Congrats on this major milestone of 1 million subscribers Trent. I've been with you since the start and i'll be here till the very bitter end! Tons of love from Denmark!
What ever millie likes, tht is what matters most❤
So close to a million subs, Congrats Trent you deserve it! looking forward to 2 million.
Holy, ive been subscribed for over a year and the production quality improvement is actually insane, everything to the drone shots to the overall aesthetic of it. Keep it up man, im so happy so see that your channel has grown so big

It's called into the wild by a band called The Wild

Congrats on 1MIL Dude!!!🎉🎉🎉 So awesome! Your content is amazing every time you post! 🤙💙
400k for that thing...
Why do you seemed so surprised? 😂
I've seen similar for like 200 its a beast don't get me wrong but god dam half a million for a tiny rv
