i never thought about it too much, but i'm assuming the message from the mantis is straight up a warning, and nothing ritualistic. "come here and we'll kill you" kinda deal

Ah, I love Mantis Claw. It's one of the best feeling in the game, realizing that you could literally access most of the areas that you left at the back of your mind.

Really loving how observant you are and how you get into the environmental storytelling, how you were always noticing the symbol and now on getting a Hallownest Seal you're so excited to know what it means :D this is a fun playthrough so far
Should be interesting if he doesn't end up exploring the rest of mantis village until later in the game. Though considering where that eventually leads that might be better for his sanity
@@arwenlostlorn6569 (spoilers beware) I missed that opening the first time I went there... even after all that shaking. But went back after seing another pathway in the map
Attention, all Hollow Knight fans! The Knight NEEDS your help to save Hallownest from the Infection! So, to help him, heh, its simple - I got this! All you have to do is send your credit card number - on the front and don't forget the wacky numbers on the back & the expiration month and year, and GO - we gotta hurry!
Not a spoiler: The maps fill out the rooms (the space entered between two transitions) so it can be a bit confusing but, as you probably guessed so far, the game likes to have folks backtrack through them for one reason or the other so no need to worry
So we’re 2 for 2 on “Oliver gets to a new area, proceeds to go around the slightly less intended/longer way, loop back to the beginning of the slightly more intended way, and manage to explore every nook and cranny of the area besides the ONE path that would let him make major progression, until the very end of exploring the area.” Nice!

I don't think six wings = six knights because THK wouldn't've been counted for most of the kingdom's history (the Five Great Knights are called that for a reason). I think it's just coincidence.
Leave it to Oliver to be threatened pretty directly and respond with confusion and wondering what the threat could possibly mean.
